Loving having a working Dehumidifier in there. This feels like the most control I’ve ever had over the environment. Even better than the flower room - though that should be as good as this next grow.

Weird Rh fluctuation's still. Drives the VPD to fluctuate in that regular wave pattern. Still not figured it. That’s a one hour graph so a full cycle is about 6 minutes. 3 minutes to go from high to low.

The dehumidifier is great at night, I increase it to 40% which pushes out warm dry air via the AC which is also set to dry.

So warm and dry air moving around at night should keep them in fine fettle. I had an IR extender delivered yesterday. Going to hook up a Sensibo maybe. I water at 6pm ish with lights out at 8pm. I could just adjust the Dehuey and AC manually when I do that I guess. I could get fancy with the dehuey and use an Inkbird controller I have lying around unopened but tbh pressing two buttons twice a day isn’t that onerous. It seems really nicely dialled in now.

Just curious do you get the full effects of co2 at 24c?
I thought you had to run higher temps?
Your my guide, am I running it to hot at 30c?

This is two minutes ago 18:35 local. Co2 will be a touch higher than that need to lift the sensor above the canopy - they’re doing 1” a day The orange sensor was 2” above the tallest plant on Tuesday, now its been subsumed by the canopy.

Yeah this is about perfect 32c is hot - apparently no damage to 36c but that just seems too hot for me - this is not too hot, doesn’t have the burn of 36. 60% Rh is sweet in flower. Loads of airflow. I just neemed them maybe the last time this grow as budlets can’t be far out. That surface liquid spiked the Rh to 75% but it dropped back to 60% in 15 minutes so the system is working really efficiently.

If I could keep just one grow tent/room it would be this one. 5x5 is such a good size, easy to control the environment, room for fans and dehuey say around the edges, easy access.

But, yeah, I just love this bit of the grow, possibilities still infinite, green sea of promise.

A couple of hours ago when I did a little UV dose. The reading was taken in the near right corner, right near the bars by the joint.

This is taken in the middle, so a spread of 1120 to 980 PPFD. That's pretty powerful, and nice and even really.

UV 0% 5000k 60% 3000k 75% - just confirmed with the supplier, there was some confusion as they changed it since I first met them.

Here’s the camber - about 1-2”

Plant porn. Using portrait mode with natural light filter. Need to find a camera app that includes that for normal shots. Not all plain sailing to here. Leaves are a bit scruffy. That’s ok. They’re still driving photosynthesis. Probably look a little glossier if I bumped the nutes. But not doing that. Less is more.

I'll be ticking up the lights a touch a day until the Warm is on 100%, I've actually reversed the lights, Cool was on 100%, I dropped it at flip and brought up the warm. Are we going to hit 100% on both? I reckon so. The UV not so sure. That hasn't been above about 50% for 2 hours in a day so far. Probably though, when we really start cooling and drying them the last 7-10 Days (to hell with VPD at that point, I want autumnal mountain conditions for them. Cold and dry) maybe I'll be bashing the UV up then. Calling flower is close. Maybe Monday. Stretch is on.

32 - 36 is working well.
5x5 is perfect for me but you really utilize every inch.
The branching is incredible.
Excuse my ignorance but how long was the veg?

Stage #2 Peat to sprout 29th October
Stage #3 Seedling Swicks 2nd November
Stage #4 Veg Pots 14th November
Stage #5 Top 2nd December
Stage #6 Defoliation #1 5th December

You could go from when they went in Solos so 33 days. Or into these pots and this light which is 18 days. I normally separate it out into seedling and veg so 18 days.

They’re at 25”-32” tall now. Please not too much more!

Just did some reading. Jury as with much of this stuff about plants there are about eleventeen different opinions. The balance of the arguments seem to tend to:

Its strain specific, can be all leaves or some, all plants or some phenos

Its beneficial as more efficient light catching because maths.

It creates more cannabinoids THC specifically. There’s predictably lots of chat about this.

Its a dominant gene, its recessive slightly more on the dominant as its quite common

Tends to Indica strains.

On mine it seems to be the Blueberry OG (100% Indica) and the Runtz v. Layer Cake (50/50) but they’re all Indica looking now. Big fat leaves mostly.

So to answer your question, dunno for sure, probs genetics maybe a good thing.

There’s way more elaborate ways to grow and kudos to those that do. I can see the satisfaction and joy it must bring. But yeah too lazy for that

*I was down at 5.5 yesterday. While the Ph pen was uncalibrated I was down there because it always drifts up so they were on probably as high as 6. I bumped them down to scoop some micro nutrients, manganase, boron and all that mob, looked better for it today,

A bit of Chet Baker Quartet, Summertime from Standards - a tune, only improved on by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. I digress. I need to plan these a bit better. Choose longer songs. Umm not much going on really, got my Day/night environmental controls down pat. Was going to BRIX them but that will have to wait for tomorrow as two leaves wasn't enough liquid. Be interested to see what they come out as and there's still plenty of plant matter in there to test with. You can see some yellow edges from early last week, they seem happy enough though.

They held the record from the Californian State tester (or maybe commercial tester) when the show was made for 44% Total cannabinoids, 36% THC. They broke their own record of 36% Total. Which I find remarkable given the number of strains I see advertised as 35%

So to the plants. Yeah can you stop growing now please.

Dropped the plants today. The pallet was supported by two bricks around the edges and now just one. Bumped the 3000k to 80%

They are 97cm tall, there’s a few at that height, 38 inches - one more for a metre. The only ones I’m eorried about are the 4 Mimosa x Orange Punch. I had one got to 180cm last grow. If they do kick on (the other strains are generally done at 120cm I think!) I’ll move the MxOP to the corners where there’s a bit more space and then… and then…

Hope for the best! They’ll figure it out.

I put the UV on for an hour today. At 50% . UV is pretty high energy. After UVBC (I have A and B) next stop is Gamma Rays, UVA and B will tan you. Intrigued I leaf temp tested before and after. Same same even as I tipped some leaves yellow. Its powerful medicine that stuff.

Could probably call flower but probably gonna wait to til Saturday. Its all just psychological trickery for me.
