One thing to keep in mind is that potassium silicate will raise the potassium level in your soil. That can be good or bad depending on what your plant needs. It also isn't organic for those who are sticking to a pure organic grow.

Monosilicic acid (MSA) doesn't contain any nutrients. But as you mentioned...arm and a leg!
75ppm which is max total dosage for 30ppm residual(optimal according to research) that means 45ppm K is added to the mix.

Here's my total running "Jacks321" with 30ppm residual Silicon from potassium silicate. Jacks321 is considered high in K from the get go.

I could never get away with running nitrogen that low but I like the rest of your numbers!
Thanks! I believe it's been working pretty well for me the last 5 years. Outdoor grown needs more N for sure since you have a larger plant mass and foliage to take in to consideration and nitrogen is the main mineral used for photosynthesis. When being fed with high intensity artificial light they don't need all that Nitrogen for the extra stretch, foliage and coverage.

Like I said, I could never get away with it! :)

Btw what software are you using?

It's an old excel spreedsheet from and old user from Rollitup, Renfro. He grew awesome bud and probably one of the most experienced growers I've ever talked to. You can modify and add any input you want. He was also pretty hard spoken and sometimes acted like a complete ass. I liked his approach though, straight in your face and no bullshit mentality but not for the soft hearted. All the best growers were sadly banned from that forum.

Had a busted timer a week now. This has meant manual switch off at 2am and then manual switch on at 8am. Struggling to get 5 hours sleep in. Ho hum.

Any way - silver lining, I can take photos with just the house lights on as they experience sunrise. They are actually getting a literal sunrise as the insulation isn’t enough to block the light from the windows behind that weren’t coated in black out film. Need to fix that before flip or adjust the lights to 6am - 6pm

Anyway some green under 3000K ceiling spotlights so pretty natural. There’s one I really don’t like the look of. Back left of the short section, first
picture.

I saw that, but I also saw how happy the rest look! You do, however, have a beanstalk in there as well.
Yeah - she looks horrible and yet is happily praying away growing into the lights. I’m mulling what to do. Top? What do you reckon? She’s a bit old and firm to start bending around - I think she was a mother & Co threw in to make up numbers.

Hey I’m looking for a head check please! Relating to growing not anything more personal.

They're all in veg and the shorties are growing and slowly catching the big’uns but I want quicker. They’re on 18/6. The little ones are all under one light.

If I switch that light to 20/4 or 24 for a few days it will obviously provide a little light to the rest but boost growth more to the ones directly below it. What does any one think about light stress and hermie down the road?

I thought to much of any stress can cause hermie, but you catch it at flower. May be.

Yep you’re right, basically its meant to be healthier to give them some rest. Its easier for me to organise 24 but probably lean to 22/2 - I’ve been doing it manually for 10 days now. So sleep 2:30am wake up 7:30am every day. Its fine I don’t need much sleep but its boring so thinking of a double win - more sleep and get the plants to catch up!

Increasing light to 20/4 or 24h will shorten internodal length, letting them grow stouter, not taller. More light is only better if you can keep DLI under ~40-50. Here's calculator to do a quick check to see if you stay within range if you have a par meter. Another way to check if they get enough is if they start to droop before lights out, then they're receiving to much light.
