Two packs of 4 from @Sweet Seeds Apolo (I think that’s them? Anyway seeds from a sponsor that has a reseller about 8 miles away. How good is that? They have loads of my other faves too like Serious.
These are for the outdoor SIP and some other stuff. Very excited by them. Nug and plant of the month slayer I grow it ok and get some luck with the pheno types.
Gonna pop 4 this evening.
The strain? Just waiting on a stadium sized air cannon to launch that out like some baby gender reveal party.

That looks quite interesting. They have pretty much the whole range of a few top breeders and prices same as ordering online and waiting two weeks worrying they’ll get busted.

It is. The Tropicana Poisons we have from a grown from seed plant that we’ve cloned is also part of that Red collection. They are 80% Red these only 60%.
One is going in the giant SIP the rest will make up the next main grow but need to grow some quick to try and make sure I have some red phenos to clone off for that.
They’re 4 per pack so I’ll pop 3 this evening and leave one to wend its way to lands far away for Absorber.

SIP time. Probably going to spin this out elsewhere. I have a price on a crane should one be needed.
Because of the story with the Thai Judge Lady and The Cannabis Parking Wars I have some credit with them.
Anyway seeds popped 4x KRC Tropicana Cookies x Tangie.
Rebuilt the giant SIP - more for the wick to get some holes in much lower down - I realised that if the evaporation wasn't doing the job the effective res was only about 60% of what is there - as soon as it dropped below the big side hole it might starve.
There’s a wrap of the mesh over the 4x 20ml holes I drilled through the bottom of that section. Then I folded. I didn't fold I guess I played it safe. But then I’m sure that pipe is now just going to get packed with roots and probably break. Meh. There will be grow medium in full contact with the water I suppose. Just heavier on the perlite than up top!
Think I’ll probably spin this off to another journal. I refer back to them quite a bit so its useful to have them separated out. No more until Solos is finished - which could be tomorrow if I don't mist them girls soon!
The gaping hole in my heart is below along with a picture from inside the abyss!

Appropriately enough in massive bunch of “told ya so” this arrived this morning.
Got here in the end. 3-4 month since it broke?
A replacement light bar for one the the Mars FC6500’s. It took longer because I was sulking in part and didn’t confirm I wanted to go ahead until about 3-4 weeks ago. Then they were out of stock. It was also part the reason I went with HPS in the Solo tent. Sodium linings I guess
Nice timing really. One last visit by the sparky to arrange. Last lol.

Yes its a free warranty replacement. The lights were 6 months old. Stuff breaks.
I’m not super happy about this being the fix. I happen to have a great sparky - I’m about the only person on the island who does though!
They are contributing $50 (from opening bid $10) to pay for it.

I’ll be using the FC-E6500 for one of the three 5x5 lights next grow. It’s only got one grow on it.

We have the FCE4800 in the Veg tent. Very decent but that cabling system and self assembly is a PITA to get balanced nicely. Full on ruler out to measure and then they are fundamentally nit balanced because they have all those bulky cable connectors on one side. Took ages to get two side by side in an 8x4
The FC’s I like, excellent. Just a bit delicate and the bits that aren’t the light, ratchets/pulleys, light connectors and main cable from lights to driver to wall let the overall product down. Plus just LM301b still.
I have a plan. When the Solos finish I’m going to buy a new light and do a single plant in the 4x4 in it. SCROG and pretty. If I like the light after that I’ll get 2 more and swap the FC’s for FCE’s and budget 320w 301b no brand light.
Here’s spare light corner chez moi. Spare 1000w HPS and 315x CMH, 320w No Name, Mars Bar Replacement.
I’m thinking side light in the flower room! On the inside of the L corner. Wonder if Sparky can wire in the old bar that’s being replaced into the other LED? Its only a 5” section broken at one end.
I’m not hanging an HPS in there…. But wow imagine that!

Well, I would agree on the difference between the FC and FC-E series’. But it’s adequate. And, I am also trying a new light, with one plant, in a 5x5, rotating scrog, in a 15, with a hula hoop screen! That’s the NextLight Mega Pro. Brand new, still in the box unopened. It’s 640 watts and should be plenty for one plant. As far as side lights - I don’t know. I can’t tell if they were responsible for my increase in density or if it’s the Remo. All I know for sure is that they made the plants leaf up like crAzy and made defol a daily chore. So jury is out for me on side lights. However, the red situation I have in the Blurple closet I DO recommend. Guaranteed more frost, and more density. Begin right after the stretch. Augmented reds for flower rock. If you are going to do side light, I’d figure out a situation where the light comes from more than one side.We have the FCE4800 in the Veg tent.
