Side light is a good thing when you can swing it! Start further than you think. These buds haven't ever seen direct light before.

That means it is for sure not a male??

Well today is the last day of veg.
I am going to introduce 12/12 tonight
Is there anything I should be aware of?
Complete darkness.. check
Is 24hrs dark initially better than just switching to 12 hours darkness?
 
24 hours seems to be a kind of standard here. Haven't flipped enough photos to tell you from experience.

Tied down the two tops. Defoliated a bit
New light is here.
Reorganized both tents. My 2×2 is now my veg tent using my mars hydro. May add my 2nd mars in bit
My two ladies now have the 3x3 to themselves.
When the lights go out tonight its gonna be dark for 24hrs then switch to 12/12
Im almost scared to not open that tent for 24hrs lol

I just read that more than 50w/sf is max unless you start adding CO2, heat, and extra nutes. It's really 1000 umols of light that is the threshold but you'd need a ppfd meter for that.
 
Keep it high for now and lower it as they get stronger. Keep an eye out for light burn.

Ive read a bunch too
Problem is most of these Chinese lights arent what they advertise
ive read 50w/sf too, but its meaningless because I dont know if the values they say are accurate
Ive watched the mars hydro be properly measured on youtube, but who knows with most
Unless I go shopping...lol
Ive been doing too much of that lately
