If you really want to get the benefit of the CFLs on the lower buds move them about 4" away and drape some tin foil behind them to reflect the light to the plants. Flowers look great and the veg plants are nice and flat. Well done!

DO you think a 1000watt HPS is too much for my 5x5x7 tent? It has a cool tube. With my inline fan will it still be too hot, or too much light??

Too much as in a waste of electricity? Too much as it will hurt the plants? I don't think 1000 watts is too much in a 5x5, but if you're going to use it try to maximize it by filling the tent with plants! Let no photon hit the floor .

I agree totally. But I started on a wim. I have 4 plants at 3 stages of growth. Once these 4 are done I will start 4 from seed and train them all like my last two.
The next grow I will veg 60 days for bigger plants, and quadline them nice and wide, and get them under a net.
Now that I have 7 feet, I can veg them longer.
Maybe my next grow I will switch to a couple 600 watt hps.

You probably don't need a net if you quadline, but personally, if I had that room, I would skip the quad and just scrog in all directions!

I decided to pull lut all of the tent pegs I had used to do my training and tied her down using small slits on rhe sides of my grow bag. She was pulling the tent pegs out. Lol. Its much tidier and even. She grew 1 2/3 of an inch in 24hrs.
Quite the thirsty gurl too.
