New Grower: Excited To Learn

Yeah I am looking at dehumidifier now but I think i will have some time to get it before I go to flowering stage

My light I am getting VIPARSPECTRA PAR600 600W 12-band LED Grow Light - 3-Switches Full Spectrum for Indoor Plants Veg and Flower
Ive heard of the brand but know nothing about it. You should find out pretty quick where your plants want to live heatwise. Hopefully you will have a good control of temps

Remember, you will need to drain a dehumidifier. Mine has a garden hose hooked up to it and drains below the floor as i grow in a shed. Just something to think about.

I was reading and researching this and intake temp and exhaust flow with circulation in the tent will help control the temp

My friend that is a grower helped me pick out the light for my tent and price range

Well when I came to this site my attitude towards growing Cannabis, was put a seed in the ground and add water, boy was I lost in the dark. Thanks to so many people here and this site have opened my eyes and turned on the light. When I began researching how to grow and what equipment is needed I was astounded, a little intimidated and just plan lost but again the great people here with all their help gave me the information and confidence to get started and keep me going I just wanted to say thank you again for all your help and support I hope once I have gleamed the knowledge and experience I will definitely be able to pass it on to other grower's:cool:

Master pennywise thank you for the tip and of course i found a journal and there was you and some others giving advice lol. :goodjob: it's 4am and insomnia is kicking my ass again I so can't wait for my grow and curing so that I can relax and enjoy the fruits of my labor

Yeah insomnia is been a long battle, ever since my coma and the 27 surgeries I been through. I just read a article from nubla haze about beginner's should grow auto instead of regular feminsed seeds and I was wondering what other grower's thought about this subject

Autos have their place but for me photos let me control my veg period.
Yeah I am thinking that I want to get as good a yield as I can and the more control over the plants I believe is better

Dude. I step out for a couple days and there are pages to catch up on. Lol. Your desire to succeed is striking poparo. I love it! I feel the same way.

I looked at comparatives between that light and the mars hydros. They are very comparable I believe. I ended up going with a different brand. And now I’m researcing a lot on the DIY QB lights. I like mine for a few more grows though while I learn and begin to purchase the materials. Don’t be surprised when you start feeling the itch to upgrade things. Lol. As you can tell from @Stltoed and his list of lights. Lol.

About the TDS meter....I bought a cheap one, used it at the beginning to see how each additive changed the PPM. Now I don’t use it at all. I can see how it would be useful with coco. Is this something I should be watching? As of now I’m just watching the plants reaction to feedings. No issues so far. Is this important to monitor in soil? And if so is it just a way to know how to adjust feedings....like they are taking 600 ppm fine , let’s up it to 800. Sorry if that seems ignorant lol. I’m just curious about the information and how you guys use it.

Can’t wait to see you get your grow going!!

Yeah. Tell me about it. Theres always something better

A TDS meter is very important. It tells you if you have over or under fed, especially when combining nurients to an existing (full) reservoir. Your Ph is also important, as i understand it its really important in coco. My meter is a wall mount unit and constantly showing whats going on at a glance. You will see trends over a weekly growth period that will show you how they are eating, especially if you auto fill. Dont disregard your meter. Track the trends, learn what to expect and know if the TDS isnt moving because they arent feeding or you meter needs to be cleaned. They arent hard to use in a month youll be a master.
