New City Grower 3.5 - Our Perpetual Grow - Continued

Iv always noticed ur plants are lovely green all the time, unless its the bottom leaves doing its natural thang haha :thumb:
it must be all that good water and TLC i guess :D Iv upped my watering in the past while and things defo grow bigger and quicker, I still feel dodgy about drowning them but they like it :cheesygrinsmiley:

Have u noticed different Growth in the older Gen. of Jack.H ?

That theory is an ongoing experiment here Indo. I just planted a 4th generation clone of that Jack Herer this morning and am saving at least a joint's worth of the original mother to smoke and compare whenever I decide to call the experiment quits.

PERPETUAL GROW UPDATE
THE VEG TENT / UPPER DECK
Sept 18, 2015

The upcoming stretch of "The Never Ending Harvest" should be interesting with a variety of strains; some new and some old to me.

I've been slacking in this grow lately, getting the Big Tent grow going kind of got me off schedule but we do have a few plants in the Bloom Tent close to the finish line and have gotten back to flipping 2 plants a week the last couple of weeks. I'll update the Lower Deck of the Veg Tent and the Bloom Tent soon but this evening is a friends & family night out on the town. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Enjoy your night out!

Question for you folks. Next year I might try some outdoor auto flower ladies. Ive never grown autos before though. How long does it take for them to begin flowering?

Jetboy, each individual auto seed has it's own timeline. Some take longer than others but they usually average about 30 to 45 days before pre-flowering.

THE BLOOM TENT

Things might look a little rough right about now because I've been neglecting this tent while concentrating on the Big Tent and getting the Veg Tent full again but give us a couple weeks and we should have everything back up to par.

CRITICAL SENSI STAR
(Clone) Day 108 / Day 70 under 12/12... Day 31 since pollination

Why not start with the ugly duckling. This is the plant we pollinated using the 24hr isolation experiment which by the way was a success. For those of you who remember she wasn't much of a looker to begin with. I chose the worst plant at the time just in case things didn't work out. Well she hasn't gotten much better and I gave up trying to revive her but the beans are almost ready.

This is the plant that took forever to reveal her sex. She had gotten so tall I just chopped off 1/3 of the main cola.

Thada that, thada that, thada-that's all folks!

B A R, when they grow that tall in the soda bottles, what keeps them upright? Is it the room and each other, or do you have to yo yo or stake them? Looks like you have a lot of unknowns right now.

Having them under that 18 inch fan in the Veg Tent 24/7 has them pretty sturdy by the time I flip. We also keep the Bloom Tent packed enough so they really don't have the room to flop over.

Thanks for the info BAR. I was hoping maybe I could try some type of Sativa dominant that I normally couldnt grow up here due to a short season. Variety is the spice of life and all.

Your white widow x big bud looks delicious.

I do some supercropping myself and have found that I if get in a hurry once in a while I snap the branch off. I have found that squeezing the branch in several directions at the place I want to bend it over before I bend it keeps it from snapping. Some say to roll it between your fingers first, but I have found squeezing in three or four directions works better for me :cheesygrinsmiley: I will have some pictures of my girls in hydro this week-end showing some supercropping I just did yesterday.
HOZ:peace::hippy:
:volcano-smiley:

Thank you for this HOZ. I couldn't get the rolling thing to work to save my life. I kept thinking there had to be a better way. Next one I want to train I'll try this.

I like the looks of that Liberty Haze Reg. I'm new enough to all this I couldn't tell you if I've ever smoked a Haze. If I have it was without my knowledge, so let me ask one who obviously knows, what's the draw of a Haze?

Also, the little tutorial on topping was wonderful. Thanks for that. :hugs:

PS: Your journal moves at a good clip too Reg. :battingeyelashes:

Sue, Haze is like the perfect blend of an energetic high smoothed out by a long lasting couch-lock stoned effect if that makes sense. It always has this smooth exotic taste that once you know it you know it.

Today marks a milestone in our grow; I've decided to re-invent the wheel or should I say our plant rotation. From here on out I'll no longer Bloom in 2lt Soda Pop Pots; 2 reasons:

1: It's getting too time consuming keeping up with that many plants special needs in the Bloom Tent

2: I'm having such great results in these Smart Pots (Below in the Big Tent)

IMG_00018365.jpg

So the plan is to order some 3gal Smart Pots. As usual we'll go from solo cups to 2lts in veg but will transplant one last time to the Smart Pots before flipping. I figure we can keep up to two 3gals at a time on the Lower Deck of the Veg Tent before moving them into the Bloom Tent or the Big Tent. The Big Tent will be incorporated into the Perpetual Grow Rotation and depending on what point it's at at any given time (18/6 or 12/12) it can be used accordingly.

I hope I didn't lose anyone there.

As this will be the first plant under the new rotation why not add a little twist into the training. Usually my second topping is in between the 2 new growths coming out. But I was thinking I can still do those once they're ready and today clip what would have been left alone. Let's see what happens.
