New City Grower 3.5 - Our Perpetual Grow - Continued

Thanxx for that pic Brother. I didn't know someone had tried this before

no problem :thumb:

well, pretty much everything we do is done before by someone else, no matter how hard we try to innovate. I believe the point of us doing so is to perform results close to the original and if possible even surpass it, yesterdays good is tommorows ok. Growers around the world raise the B A R daily, it's up to us to reach for that and sometimes take it higher for others to catch up.

with that being said, i applaud the way you treat growing, you like to embrace different techniques and let them carry you along into the infinite mystery that is agriculture. I can't wait for the data results from all the things you got going on in this batch and so do others.

Bravo for stepping up the B A R.

now excuse me there is some more sativa where all that came from, carry on friends ;)

Have a great weedend, BAR & BG!

awesome post!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :)

happy munchday to the gang :circle-of-love:

Hozona, Cronic, Jimbo, and Magic, thanxx for the compliments.

After going back over our journals since using PJ's Organic Soil Mix I've noticed a pattern:
The majority of strains we've ran in it are good without adding any nutes up until mid or late bloom. Some strains run completely problem free without adding anything but Cal/Mag to compensate for the LEDs while others start needing nutrients. This along with the fact that every plant we re-veg in the same re-used soil ask for Nitrogen immediately brings me to the conclusion that after 3/4 of the plant's life span most strains have depleted PJ's Organic Soil Mix of it's nutrients.
While it starts off a little hot and you usually lose the first set of true leafs I consider it a great medium that carries everything our plants need at an astounding release rate.
Also, the Bagseed plant with Lamb's Quarters appears it'll finish without anything but Cal/Mag. Not sure if it's the LQ or the strain but I'll clone one of the strains that needed extra nutes to finish, grow it with an LQ plant, and see if it can finish without adding anything.

Great idea BAR. I know I'll be watching that one with the lamb's Quarters carefully. I may never get to try it myself (daughter is allergic) but it could prove to be a valuable resource to suggest if this pans out.

I think after I get my new tent running I'm going to try one in your 2liter set-up and my LOS. I'd like to see if it could carry the plant through with only my regular teas and drenches. The challenge you may be having with PeeJay's excellent soil mix could be caused by the smaller pot size. I'd like to consult you when I get ready for that, if you don't mind.

Your grows keep getting better and better. Amazingly beautiful lovelies you two are growing. That scrog? Making Icemud proud. You're rockin' it. :thumb:

Actually it's quite easy Jimbo. We have the strain, the start date, and the flip date written on each pot plus every 420 update is a date log. Elementary my dear Watson :nomo:.

And by the date 420, 2015 she should be flowering.

You need to go ahead and start that journal Crazy & show us how it's done!

Now here's part of a post by 36Grow from Sue's journal which may explain why our soil is depleted a lot of times before the plants reach the finish line.
I'm thinking 2lt Soda Pop Pots are pretty small fuel tanks. That is in lieu of the following post I made yesterday.

I believe 36 was speaking of Doc's HB kit soil. I'm going to be running a pot this time. The concept is the same. My LOS recipe is a step above PeeJay's soil though, so let's see what happens.

Pita, Welshy, LA, Cronic, and Jaga:Thanxx, we had a great weekend.
Are we there yet? Wait! What? :rofl:It can't be because I smoked too much, I have been giving my lungs a break AND I am out until my early Summer girls are ready. ;)
Ah, Hozona, I wish I could fax you a few buds.

Not a problem! As you know, helping & sharing info is a major part of the 420 mag phenomenon.

More like a few steps above but one thing I did read on your thread posted by Doc was that in healthy soil bug problems may still exist but they don't really effect the plants. Healthy plants build they're own resistance to pest. I've noticed this to be so true since using less nutes because of a healthier soil such as PJ's.

Best of budladen days to you my friend :)
Loving your compendium of useful and tested info my friend! Bravo as usual buddy :)
You have Flux Central so I guess we can call this Test Central LA.

I can be living proof on that one, check out my two journals LOL!
You & I both Away.

PARTIAL HARVEST

BAG SEED with Lamb's Quarters
(in SIP; Sub Irrigation Planter) Day 76 / Day 55 under 12/12

I only chopped the top buds which were about 10% amber; I need some more uppity energetic meds in my stash. The rest of the plant has little to no amber trichs so we'll let those continue to ripen.

Sounds about right Indo, we average anywhere between 1 to 3/4 of an oz per plant in these 2lt Soda Pop Pots. At the moment we're gradually increasing our Veg periods at a pace not to really interrupt our perpetual grow. Longer veg equals larger harvest. The goal is to maximize this restricted space grow.
