New City Grower 3.5 - Our Perpetual Grow - Continued

so the conclusion- use relatively small pots (around 10-15L) and feed the crap out of them

I found from growing the Flash Babylon auto ,, they have come a lot further ,, but I think like cronic if you have some thing like a short stuff girls or some lowryder,, they will not need all the room of a massive pot,, but it is also very good to bear in mind that if the tap root hits the bottom of the pot it will stunt them rather badly

I had my worst ever grow on the start of my journal she didnt give me much over 1gram:lot-o-toke:I think use a big enough pot if its a tall girl an a smaller with the shortsuff ,, dont do to much with them and they do as they say automatically grow

BAG SEED Harvested on Mar 18

As most of the donated bagseeds from this batch we've ran, there's no doubt this is Sour D which is pretty much the run of the mill in this city. And once again ours is better than what's floating around. It just goes to show that what outsiders (non 420 members) call homegrown is better than what's on the market. I give this one a strong 7

On another note, here's some intel Skunny shared with us the other day on how to get tight nodes on your plant. We're applying it to 3 of our plants at the moment.

Trick No1, keep opening the new growth on top. No2, remove the top fan leaves when they're at around 3/4" in size. No3 pinch or twist (or do both) the main stem in the top section. No4 heavy defol
Opening the new growth is something LA recommended & it seems to help the nodes staying tight. Removing the top fan leaves temporarily stunts the upward growth which aids tight nodes. Pinching or twisting until it cracks divertss hormones to lower growth which stimulates them to grow.

It's your bag of tricks I'm using.:laughtwo:

Hey Reg-
How's your clone of a clone (in perlite) doing? Still improving?
As a new kid on the block, I hesitate to offer much advice, but since I also have a plant in soiless (rockwool cubes) that looked almost the same, I thought I'd offer this for consideration.
I've tried PH feeding and waterings ranging from 5.5 to 6.5. None really helped. What did make a huge difference for me is getting more water through the plant with each feed/water. My guess is salts or other crud was building up in the "soil" even though I did have some runoff with each watering - just not enough. These soiless mediums offer no buffer like good old dirt. After a big flush, and using more solution each time, the results have been pretty dramatic. Nothing else has changed. This is in spite of a pretty severe root aphid infestation that has become apparant in the last week. The plant also added 3-1/2" in the last week (not bad since it was near death and only about 7" tall a month ago). Here are some before and after pic's. Dunno if it will help you, but it might be worth a shot. Best of luck w/it!

Hey there Reg!

Can't believe it took me so long to get subbed up over here... Kept seeing your City Grower 3.0 thread in my subscribed threads and kept asking myself, "HOW have there been no posts on B A R's journal?!"
...

Anyways, I am here now and as I can see things have already progressed quite some bit!! Journal looks great from my quick once-over, can't wait to go back and do some catching up Reg, your Journals are always filled with the Titans of 420mag and the grow world. So much info being tossed around :cheesygrinsmiley: I love it!
