3) The plants will begin to yellow and new vegetation will be a light green colour as growth slows when nitrogen is depleted. Phosphorous and Potassium deficiencys are also possible.

my "will" suggest that growth rate slowing appears later after lower leaves yellow first and look half dried, i confirm that new growth should be more pale at the same time the bottom leaves turn yellow or soon after.
 
Question 4

I have a few plants in week 4 of veg and just noticed a thin layer of what looks like white mold on the top soil of each plant. What could be the cause?

It's being kept to wet and it's a fungus
