New City Grower 2.0

The best way to check if your plants are rootbound is to remove your plants from their containers.

Transplanting is changing the container. Put it back after checking and you haven't transplanted.

Are there trick questions?

That was add to my prior post. I assumed since the question was about being root bound that it was in a pot.

TRAR team doesn't give opinions until after we have a few answers Mascot

If it's In the ground how can it be rootbound? :bong:

The roots will grow beyond the hole that the plant was transplanted into, if there is a much larger root from a tree underneath that has gone unseen, or even big boulders/rocks down there, this can slow down the root growth by acting as sort of a roadblock

Oh I would of had time for a longer answer well growth will slow and not form properly if rootbound also as others said look through the holes also as I said ease out of pot but growth is best way to tell and slight discoloration

While we're pondering #1, hit em with the 2nd question Princess DIY. (Thought I forgot about that one didn't you? LOL...)

I would think that roots can come out of the bottom without it being root bound. Also a plant in a 20 Gal pot is hard to lift, I mean it could be a 20' indoor sativa grown in a gym. So reading the plants condition is the way to tell without having to pull up all your plants to check.

It's not about the game, its about the info. Preach on Scotty.
