New CFL Grow

hey guys new to the forum gonna try a journal. So open to any kind of response. I am trying a cfl grow, using a 125 watt optigrow light i have one green crack going a strawberry cbd and blueberry cbd for the wife green crack is in veg at week three in 2.5l pot the other two are barely a week. I grow with promix hp and i will be using hogs nutes for the grow,

I think i am gonna try the led light that my brother gave me if i run that led with that cfl am i gonna cause any kind of problem with two different kinds of lights.

Hey everyone back to report the plants are doing great gave first feeding of nutes tonight. Had one fan quit over the weekend so got a little warm was 87 in the tent when i opened it up also transplanted the other two for the wife. The strawberry cbd came back from pretty much dead. Not sure if the green crack is starting to show signs of the sex or just more of the branches or not. Here is some more pics see what you all think i also threw in a pic of the roots on the blueberry just so guys can see what is going on there to

Well happy to say start of day two on nutes and they are doing well other then i have to add another light with the larger pots. I have that led but i think i am gonna stay with a t5 set up. Any thoughts

T5’s work good for veg, not so much for flower unfortunately. I mean it will if you have enough of them.

LEDs are superior to HID, all day long. It's just old tech now, like a turbo vs non turbo engine. Does a non turbo still run and get the job done? Yep, but it's better with a turbo. Kind of a crude example lol but illustrates the concept.

Cheap LEDs suck though. Not because they won't grow plants but because they don't last very long. Led wattage claims are essentially all marketing hype. The par values (ppf[d]) are what tell you how much energy a light supplies to your plant. Wattage just tells you how much energy your using to do it.
Par values= Dyno numbers
wattage values= gas milage. Ish. Lol

CFL doesn't really go out of style, they're great for veg, it's just takes a lot of tubes at a pretty close distance to produce a good amount of light for your plants.

I would veg with the t5 and flower with LED. MH would be hot no? Or am I just thinking HPS. You could supplement the LED with some CFLs if you had to.
