New CFL Grow

I was thinking that. I already have the other light was given to me so try it and see what happens, i will just get a 125cfl in a 2700

One thing that came to mind that you may want to consider when choosing the CFL. If there are dark spots on the outside of the LED's reach it may be worthwhile to do a few smaller cfls than one big one.

Even distribution and I think you can get them a little closer due to slightly less heat. Watch out for stretch though. They will fly close to the sun if you let them and scorched buds ensue.

Well got the two lights all set up tonight will see how it goes plants are still doing good green crack took a big jump over the last two days. Can any one tell me what in means when the leaves are cupping ? Gave them a drink and couple hours later they were cupping. Also do you guys give nutes every feeding?

If you are talking about the smaller of the two, I don't think it is cupping but "praying" or reaching for the light. It means its happy as can be. Someone can correct me if I am wrong on that though. I usually water between to avoid overfeeding but sometimes I feed back to back

Also I take back the idea of smaller CFLs. This looks better but not sure how the CFL will do for flower. The reflector is legit too. Nice work

Thanks, i will definitely keep the watering in between in my notes, i have been doing alot of reading on flowering with cfls and some say it works better with the 6500 and others say they use 3000k so i might try this bulb and if they like the mix of lights will take note and try a 2700k on the next ones. Ya its on the smaller one the leaves if it looks good i wont worry

Whats your guys take on the mars ts 1000w led lights have a chance to get one cheap and from what i can find out it would be better then what i have going, as well as be more power efficient,

How can a high ppm tap water cause an issue with my nutrients? Was told that our tap water is no good for growing i tested with meter and ya its high 430-450 ppm at about 15c

I'm looking at getting a mars light off amz. They are good price and I have seen a few great growers use the brand with great results. Not sure on that specific model though

I am getting this light for 80$ he said its only a month old, he is moving out of country so cant take it with him i figured why not, my plants are doing good but for the price and upgrade cant be a bad thing ,

Nice. You can move the driver (hope that's the right word) outside of the tent too if your temps get too hot with it in the tent

Yeah a nice uniform light for veg and bloom and should fill your tent from what I remember from the tent info and light specs. Thay should be solid. Just make sure she is good to go when you buy it

Ya i am gonna definitely turn it on before. The heat i am not to worried about i have to put a filter in my tent, the wife is starting to notice the plants now with just smell, i am kinda shocked they have such a strong smell already. I really hope this light will work good, i am noticing a definet effect of the other led its making some of the top leaves turn a purple brown, so might not keep it in there. Do you know much about how ppm effects a plant like i posted my tap water is really high.

Hey guys got some more photos of the plants, still look good but i think the burple light was a bad idea, they slowed way down in growing and one now has discolored right at the top also kinda dark spots in the middle of the leaves. The plants i am wondering if i over watered?

going from cmh to led will shock the plant I imagine. I would say going back to your old light would be worse for the plants then if you left the led. I grow with led and it’s been doing me great. I’m not shaming the others by any means, but they should plateau back out man!

Ok so the colouring on the one plant could be due to just the change in light, i will definitely check out that link.
