Neikodog's High Brix Sativas

Have you smoked the straight Panama before Duggs? How does it compare to the Panama Haze? Is there a big difference and what would you say the difference is? (And this question goes out to everyone, not just Duggs). I ask because as I progress down my cannabis journey and try new and different strains, I find myself definitely more drawn to the energetic Sativas so I would love more insight into the differences between different strains like Panama and Panama Haze. Thanks Duggs and anyone else for any input on that. Happy growing everyone!!

I enjoy the straight Panama more than the Pan Haze only because I grew several times the Purple Haze and I found the Pan Haze to be similar.. The Panama is very unique, at least the ones I grew (and currently) in its terp profile. Ive never had a Panama in any other soil other than using Docs Kit, or anyone else's straight Panama grown in HB soil to compare it to..
Duggan has had both Panama and Pan Haze when visiting me and Panama in Jamaica along with the other HB misfits :)

Holy Shiiiiittttt Yeti. That is an amazing looking bud there brother! Is Shackzilla the name of your plant or the strain? Sorry, don't mean to be drooling all over your picture man.

Shackzilla is a strain from Sannie

Yeah as overlord stated it is a sannie strain. He is based in the uk and not carried in many banks. He sells his own seeds but its cash in the mail and maybe bitcoin to buy them. There were only two banks that carried them when I got them, other than sannie himself. good luck :thumb:

Edit: Thanks Stank! Drool away man! :high-five:

Well then I suppose I should add both of them to my seed order. Got one headed this way right now from seedsmen, guess i will just have to do another one! One can never have too many beans!

I don't spend money on anything else so its good LOL. I don't mind buying if I can pick up a smaller amount of seeds to try. I hate having to buy a 10 pack just to try a strain. If I can buy 1s, 3s, or 5s, I am all good.

Yeah that would be nice. I have not been able to do that since I stopped buying from herbies pick and mix. The whole no card thing is a pain in the ass over seas.

I use seedsman and bitcoins. I try to maximize all the freebies I can. Even if I don't use them, I can give them to others less off than me. I generally follow the promotions pretty closely and look at my "potential buy" list and when they give away freebies from that breeder I get them along with the freebies from seedsman and the bitcoin freebies. Attitude Seed bank seems like its pretty decent too.

I need to look into bitcoin more at some point. I am yet to spend that much on a pack of seeds. $140 is the most I have spent. You just have to hope that somewhere in that $200 pack there is a gem hidden that will give you what you are looking for... I tend to like to find them on the first seed :laughtwo:

Well I know I was looking at the sensi Jack Herer, and they wanted about 160 euro, with shipping and what not..thats pretty close to 2 bills for me. Decided against it....they have the 3 packs now. I will give it a try...if i like it, I will gladly drop that for try a unicorn hunt. Same with any other strain out there. If I can try it for a reasonable price and I like it, I will look for a gem and be very willing to spend the dough.

You should hit up sannies site. He has his sannies jack which is his worked line of jack herer. He has a couple of other really nice strains too. His killing fields is supposed to be amazing with a high likelihood of being purple. He also carries Dynasty gear as well and I think he has a couple of strains they do not offer any more. Sannies strains are like 40 or 50 a pack

I liked both equally. I guess it depends on the mood. Not all Panama's are energetic. My Panama was more "dreamy" like floating on a happy cloud. The Haze is very social and creative for me. I loved Ziggy's Panama in Jamaica but like Duggs said it could have been the setting. I would recommend doing the straight Panama 1st since it is a shorter flowering time and if you get a green one it is supposed to be more energetic. Mine went 12 weeks and yielded very well. The Haze may grow out of your area and could go up to about 20 weeks depending on the phenotype.

It looks like both strains tested well for you then! There is just something about the way the purple sherb looks that is so appealing :thumb:

I ran their violetta and was disappointed with how it came out. It is a PCK x Malawi and is supposed to go 8-9 weeks. Well 16 weeks later and it was still the airiest spindliest thing I have just about ever run. I had to take it since it was causing a back log in.

I hate those! Did you run it in HB soil?

This is some Shackzilla I have been growing. This finishes in 14 to 15 weeks but it gives me buds like this:

I can do 14 week blooms when I get something like that. 16 weeks for what Violetta gave me I couldnt do.

The Purple Sherb doesn't yield worth a damn without a really long veg time and it is a pretty tall plant. You have to strip it up to about the top 4-5 nodes or you'll have a ton of larf. So I had a 4' tall plant that doesn't look like it will give me more than 2 zips. It really needs some heavy training to yield well, obviously more than what I did to it.

Very nice bud, was that high brix?

Thanks for the info Neiko. Sounds like good advice, I appreciate it. As far as trying to keep the Panama Haze manageable height wise, what sort of training would you recommend? I haven't grown any hazes so I am not familiar with their general structure, strength, etc. Is it a strain that's viable for scrog, or just tie that bitch down? Will I need support for potential weight (toppling over buds)? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I am not planning to grow it anytime in the immediate future, but I add all this information onto my spread sheet. Anything else I should know about either strain would be greatly appreciated. Makes my future grows much easier to plan and pull off. Thanks brother.
