Neikodog's High Brix Sativas

These were the lambs bread/breath. They are ready to flower now just got to open up some space. They are definitely the same strain with 2 phenotypes. One is leggy and the other not so bad but their leaf structure appearance are about identical. Who knows for sure what we really have but the wife loved the weed these seeds came from. I plan on flipping them next week after bubba hash and critical mass come down.

It'll be cool to see how these come out grown in Doc's soil compared to what y'all smoked in Jamaica.

Hey gang, just finished harvesting the Bubba Hash, Panama Haze and Jarring the Malawi. Malawi yielded 212 grams in 14 weeks.....I'll take that. I flipped a Lemon Thai Kush (HSO), 707 Truthband (HSO) and the leggy pheno of the Jamaican plant. I cut a sampler of the Amnesia, it's mid week 10.

This was a typical fan leaf from the panama haze. I started using the new drenches about 8 weeks ago on it. Petioles are about 80% green still.....after 15 weeks!

Could be yield and perception too. Most pure equatorial sativas have those loose wispy flowers that so many these days take for low-quality. Personally, I've moved away from stone-dense flowers. They're harder to grind up, don't have as much resin in them, and resultantly lose some complexity in flavor and aroma...IMO of course ......(though I can discuss the science behind it too if necessary)

I've had my best yields on sativas, I had a panama and dr grinspoon give me 11 and 12 oz per plant. I did veg those for 2 weeks in their 10's before flip and that's the only time I've done that. They just got too big but great yields can be had by sativas. Being a relatively new smoker I am not familiar with most of folklore of the bag appeal. It all looks the same to me when it's ground up. I usually just dismiss those comments or just hand them something to smoke already rolled up. After trying them I usually get a holy fuck what was that! Most people have never had a true sativa and just don't know, only what they heard. I like them all, indicas too but sativas are definitely my favorites.[/QUOTE]

sativas are my favorite to grow and consume :)

Thanks Conrad, I am pretty proud of this run.

Sweet harvest there Neiko. Looks like you have a nice rotation going now, so taking those sats to 14+ weeks doesn't sting as much eh?

I can deal with 14 weeks no problem. I have a pretty varied lineup at all times but it's the sativas everybody wants to see.

Nice pull neiko. 15 weeks on the PH...not too shabby since I thought it was going to be longer. :laughtwo:

The Panama Haze is definitely done but with these pure/purer strains, they tend to keep blooming. I probably could have let it go and it would have kept building buds but they were getting to the point of snapping branches. I think the soil was spent too. You can probably go longer if you want being in a 15 gallon, she can take heavy feedings, like 2 ml/gallon of soil.

Neiko, ya , i'de say too!:thumb:...great harvest of top shelf produce:)
Another nice grow , Cheers eh!:high-five:

Thanks Duggs!

it will not resemble what was smoked in Jamaica..:)

As long as it has the buzz is the same....the wife loved that lambs breath if that's what it really was. These plants sure appear to be very sativa. It will be a nice mix of genetics from around the world.

So I tried another tester of Malawi last night and it has really kicked up a notch from last test. This stuff ain't no joke! I can honestly say I think this is going to be the most potent strain I've grown....3 bong rips and I didn't need anymore for about 3 hours. If felt like my head was being massaged by an electric blanket. The reality shift is hard to explain but almost like you are in a dream but AWAKE. The creativity was off the charts and I'm not normally very creative. Say goodbye to your short term memory, I'd forget what I was talking about before I was through with the sentence. My mind did try some negative thoughts but I'm learning to shut that down pretty good. Most of the unpleasant thoughts are my own doing. For example, I looked out the kitchen window and there was a dead raccoon that has been on the side of the road for about 3 days now, all I could picture was one of the wife's cats or 1 of our dogs taking it's place. Then that transformed into a visual brain movie of every animal we had getting hit in front of me. I quickly recognized the Malawi was in full go. I just smiled and said it's just the weed and changed the channel in my head and proceeded to have a great night. What makes those types of thoughts so unsettling is I actually feel the emotions that go along with the tragedy imagined. That's where I think people get into trouble. You have to be able to shut that down and focus on happy thoughts. It wasn't hard to do last night and I really enjoyed it. She still going to live at least 2 more weeks probably 3 so this could get scary :slide::slide:

Momentum. It's all about momentum. Learn to spot negative emotion and recognize it as something that can be redirected before it runs you down.

This was probably the best description I've read of a successful shift Neiko. Thank you for sharing it.

Damn good harvest too. :high-five: Had to drop a few rep points. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I've been noticing this trick of veg for a couple weeks in a big-ass pot and then flip. This appears to be something we could all embrace. I could certainly learn to appreciate greatly increased yields. I have a couple ten gallon pots around here too, and with one big pot per tent this could be workable.

Time to cook more soil. :laughtwo: I keep neglecting to order the ProMix. I wonder if I could find it locally, now that I have a friend willing to truck me around in exchange for a steady supply of Carnival? :battingeyelashes:

Nice pull Neiko! Always good to pull almost a half pound off of a plant! :goodjob:

Yeah man, I'm pretty happy. The yields are usually as good as doing 2 8-9 week strains. So it's worth it to wait the 14 or 15 weeks.

Nice harvest Neiko. I'm sure you're pretty pumped!
:thumb:

I sure am! I finally timed it right to have a steady flow of sativas for the summer for me and all my friends :ganjamon::party:

I agree with this. Like when I was growing the Colombian candy it was about 12 weeks but in the end it is just like skipping the stretch period and having weeks of extra production. It has caused some delays in turning a room over however.

So my new plan will be to have two 4x8 grow chambers. Each will be matched for flowering time and monoculture for each 4x4. And I will have a freeform grow area of 4x12 that will be an area I can flower the long lived ladies. So I will be able to flower a 16 week sativa if I want and not upset the cycle.

It's funny when I joined 420mag I hadn't really grown many sativas. But if I look at this past grow I had 6 megafauna (kali Snapple x ssh) I had 2 pineapple fields. Over half of my room has just hit 69 days! That's a lot different from before.

I am finding I just love both indica and sativa buzzes. There's a place for both! I am excited for the new free form area because I have some Purple Haze and Some other sativas that really need to be popped.

That sounds like a solid plan. I too love both buzzes. Mixing the pure strains together is better than any hybrid. I like mixing different ratios of sativa and indica or sativa sativa. Its like completely different strains when you do that. I just sampled the amnesia last night and boy is that a potent strain. 70% sativa but it felt like a strong edible buzz with a strong head buzz. That was a freebie from world of seeds. It will be staying in my garden.
