My Bubblegum takes about 12 weeks and i usally get between 4 and 5 zips off of it out of a 7. The only time I have hit a half pound was running something for 10 weeks in a 15. Most strains that take 14 plus weeks always look so sad by the end of it for me. I ran Ace's Violetta and it flowered for 16 weeks and just wouldnt stop. They claim it is a 9 week strain but I must have gotten a malawi heavy pheno. It never got even as dense as your last Malawi you pulled. I gave it up for other strains due to time constraints and sub par yields. My Shackzilla runs 12 to 14 weeks but it gets massive colas so I can live with it.

I agree with this. Like when I was growing the Colombian candy it was about 12 weeks but in the end it is just like skipping the stretch period and having weeks of extra production. It has caused some delays in turning a room over however.

So my new plan will be to have two 4x8 grow chambers. Each will be matched for flowering time and monoculture for each 4x4. And I will have a freeform grow area of 4x12 that will be an area I can flower the long lived ladies. So I will be able to flower a 16 week sativa if I want and not upset the cycle.

It's funny when I joined 420mag I hadn't really grown many sativas. But if I look at this past grow I had 6 megafauna (kali Snapple x ssh) I had 2 pineapple fields. Over half of my room has just hit 69 days! That's a lot different from before.

I am finding I just love both indica and sativa buzzes. There's a place for both! I am excited for the new free form area because I have some Purple Haze and Some other sativas that really need to be popped.

I dont know how you keep up with all the gardening you have to do man. It seems like a daunting task. Who's Purple Haze are you going to run? It would be cool to run but I dont room to flower one plant for 5 months!
 
I hear ya on the haze flowering times, even that is too long for me and too long to be in a container, I think. That's why I chose the Panama Haze, it's got the Panama yields with the Old Timer's Haze buzz. I gotta tell ya it is sure a nice buzz and it is different than the straight Panama I grew.

So I tried another tester of Malawi last night and it has really kicked up a notch from last test. This stuff ain't no joke! I can honestly say I think this is going to be the most potent strain I've grown....3 bong rips and I didn't need anymore for about 3 hours. The creativity was off the charts and I'm not normally very creative. Say goodbye to your short term memory, I'd forget what I was talking about before I was through with the sentence. For example, I looked out the kitchen window and there was a dead raccoon that has been on the side of the road for about 3 days now, all I could picture was one of the wife's cats or 1 of our dogs taking it's place. Then that transformed into a visual brain movie of every animal we had getting hit in front of me. I quickly recognized the Malawi was in full go. I just smiled and said it's just the weed and changed the channel in my head and proceeded to have a great night. What makes those types of thoughts so unsettling is I actually feel the emotions that go along with the tragedy imagined. That's where I think people get into trouble. You have to be able to shut that down and focus on happy thoughts. It wasn't hard to do last night and I really enjoyed it. She still going to live at least 2 more weeks probably 3 so this could get scary :slide::slide:

ill tell ya reading how you described that high sure makes me want some you can always do less but if you want to get ripped there it is lol!

Its like completely different strains when you do that. I just sampled the amnesia last night and boy is that a potent strain. 70% sativa but it felt like a strong edible buzz with a strong head buzz. That was a freebie from world of seeds. It will be staying in my garden.

I'm the same way, if rather mix sativa and indica than smoke a hybrid. You get a more complex high that way. Congrats on the harvest Neiko!

:welcome: Sticky. You're just in time for the next run. I just flipped a Jamaican sativa and will flip this weekend a Dr. Grinspoon and a Hybrid, Strawberry Fields from Crockett Family Farms. I will be re-running the Congo soon as well.

Boy, some people Duggs.....I just don't know. Come on Sue you know Duggs preaches this method daily. I just don't have enough room to do that with 8 flowering plants in 2 4x4's. I gotta keep my variety going....:slide:
 
ill be checking those out for sure i bought something the guy called jamaican roostertale it was when i was living in santa cruz back in 70-71 this weed was laid out in a carboard box like beer flat they were the length of the box very skinny and gold and red and orange they were a site,so it will be interesting to watch you grow some jamaican!

Thanks Canna! Things are looking up. She is doing pretty good now. Still not done with the withdrawals but it is a ton better. Her pain Doc said about another month. That will make it a little over 4 months. It's crazy that that shit is legal. Now that she's about over it they tell her it is harder than heroin to get off of.
