N420 Grows Barney's Farm Orange Sherbert & Special Guests

Good Sunday morning 420 fam got a good news and bad news update today so let's get on with it.

I'll start with the good news first. The dwc girls are really starting to hit their stride now and have put on a lot of growth since my last update.

Bog #2 is the star of the show she was the plant that was in the worst shape a week ago and is now growing the fastest of all the plants. She has the strongest mix of them all at 2.4 ec and is loving it! After checking her last night her ec is dropping a bit and ph is rising which tells me it's the right strength.

Bog #1 is causing me a bit of drama she has been droopy for the last little while I reduced her ec from 1.6 at the res change to 1.4. I think it was to strong still so I've reduced it again last night again so I'm hoping she perks up again but she has a nice color to her and isn't showing any deficiency.

Pog #1 is pretty happy other then I noticed a slight claw on her leaf tips and her ec was rising so last night I reduced her ec from 1.6 to 1.4 and this morning she looks happy praying hard to the lights. I do have a pic but was taken last night before the res adjustment.

Pog #2 is doing good no real drama with her she is just chugging along and seems to like the feed she is getting so not much to report on her.

They have really pushed out a ton of new roots over the last little while and they look great. Bit of brown on some of their roots which is from the Cal Mag. I got my z9 delivered a few days ago and it's keeping the res quiet clean.

The bad news. I made a silly mistake with the Gz. I use a power bar that has a timer built into it. There is a switch on the side that changes it from timer power to constant power. Well I must have bumped it I think a week ago and has put the plants on 24hrs light:( Now one of the plants is revegging. I was planning on taking them down in about 10 days so I guess it's not the end of the world but a big piss off none the less. I switched the timer back to 12/12 this morning but the damage is already done.

She won't disappoint. The GZ is fantastic. Even my screwed up plant gave killer bud.

That is kinda weird about the flimsy stems on your last grow this is a first for me but I think it's strain related. Prof had the same issue with the Gz and warned me about the floppy stems and he was definitely right.

I didn't have flimsy stems but everything else was off for mine. Lol.

I think your totally right Vg. I have made my fair share of screw ups with the Gz including my latest:rolleyes: But the bud does look really good by far the most frost on any plant I've grown to date.

Could be 2 of the 4 I had were like that and needed support really early into flower. I have nearly every branch on the plants staked which I kinda expected this close to the end of flower.
 
Sorry about the switch, I think we’ve all made that mistake at least once. It’s more a matter of - how long does it go til we catch it. The dwc girls are looking great! Seeing you make the transition makes it look less intimidating.

Ya I gotta admit I'm kinda pissed about the timer thing but not much I can do about it know thankfully it was near the end and are coming down soon.

Ya I am happy with the Dwc girls. It was intimidating when I first started reading about it before I started everyone talking about ppms rising and falling and what it means I had concerns about root rot and all kinds of things. But once I started it was easier then expected. The best part about it is any changes to food you make you can see the results almost right away instead of waiting for the soil to buffer your changes and if it goes way out of whack you just dump out the res and do a fresh one.

Mine was still in veg though, but the plants were droopy all the time. Light was too much for them. It was about two days before I picked up on it.

Mine was probably a week but not entirely sure. I'm cursing my clumsy ass lol.

Omg. That’s sucks big time. It could have been much worse , at least they coming down soon. ..
The dwc is looking amazing. You seem to have it under control .. always fun times and an adventure when starting something new.
.. I’ll be cutting down during Xmas. And popping beans before the end of the year. Magic
 
I can neither confirm nor deny if I recently rigged up a heater like this:

Main outlet -> temp controlled outlet -> mechanical timer -> heater

See an issue there? :laugh:

Mech timer in the main outlet sure works better. LOL

Hey Magic good to see you bud. Ya the reveg is a bit of a piss off but it's in the rearview mirror now gonna chop as planned after Christmas. In the end the buds do look good another lesson learned keep on top of your shit lol.
Lovin the Dwc so far once I got my feed figured I can see why people like it the growth rates are crazy.

I hope you have an amazing Christmas holiday it's been great getting to know you a little more over the last few months and can't wait for the comparative.
