N420 Grows Barney's Farm Orange Sherbert & Special Guests

Thanks bro really appreciate it! So clean everything add my nutes to a fresh bucket and the peroxide.
No problem brotha n one last thing once u get good cleen roots popping out u cut the bad out if u chose not to it works also if eventually fall off

it completely leaves off the remote possibility that your water level is rising!
OK I have to ask how that is possible outside of the toilet overflowing or leaving the tub running. I need to spend a few minutes inside your mind so I don't ask these questions in the future.

I kinda disappeared for a bit was running the kiddo to dance and quickly ran to the grow store and grabbed some peroxide you guys have been busy lol.

Gonna get going on getting things cleaned up and was looking for a ratio to dilute the peroxide for cleaning I have the 29% stuff.

Was planning on soaking the stones in a diluted solution for a few minutes then giving them a scrub with a brush.

Hey everyone got my water change done just now. I ended up making up a batch of 3% peroxide and cleaned my buckets with it then made up another batch of 3% and soaked my stones in it while I changed the water. I have to say even after only 10mins in the new water with the peroxide I have seen a big improvement in how the roots look some of the brown was still there but it looks way better then before the change. Gonna order some Z9 today and get these ladies rockin again!

If you get in a really bad bind, say at 3am and nothing is available, a little bleach will also work and tide you over. I wouldn't make a habit out of it (although admittedly some do), and it doesn't take much, but in case of emergency a little dab will do ya.

Thanks Mulit something to keep in mind for next time. This hydro thing is all new to me but at least now I know what root rot looks like lol. I've checked again recently and almost all the brown is gone and I know what to do and use if it shows up again.

Yepper. H2O2 will wipe it out quick, especially if you get on it super quick.

The z7 (or z9, up that way) should do ya right as preventative.

Are you familiar with advanced nutrients sensizym at all? I have it on hand and did add it to the res but I think the rot was to set in for it to do anything. I will probably order z9 but was thinking sensizym is probably a similar product.

I'm not familiar with it. IIRC it's similar to hydroguard, but don't hold me to that one. If so, it's not going to be compatible with z7/z9, or H2O2, etc.

If it's like hydroguard, then no, it wouldn't have had a quick resolution to the issue. It take a tick to build up the beneficial bacteria colony, and get them to out compete the bad.

Hey N did this brown stuff wash off the roots?
The peroxide took it off I didn't try washing it off maybe I should have? The roots are nice and white now don't really see to much brown.

2 of them were droopy last night and this morning. The ph was 5.5 last night I brought it back up to 5.8. with no improvement. I did turn my light up slightly last night. Not to sure what's going on.

Do you think the brown stuff could be a product you’ve used like the voodoo juice? It seems quick for young roots to get that bad that soon especially when you’ve been on the ball with res changing and keeping an eye on your temps. Root rot will cause damage and not wash off and seeing as you’ve got white roots now I’m not so sure it’s rot. Now you’re using h2o2 it shouldn’t be a problem anymore if it is but you wont be able to use biological nutes so check what you’ve been using as not to waste them. I know @ProfessorFlora is using mega crop alongside h202 and getting great results. Looking at your plants I’d give them some calmag to start with and see how they respond over the next 12 hours. Beauty of dwc is you know very quickly if the plant is happy or not so experiment with adding small amounts of nutes as every strain is different. If things go bad just start again with a fresh res.
