I know I become a little redundant towards the end image wise but what I am really doing is using my camera to compensate for my poor eyesight so I can get "close up" and look for problems.

The purple oil story continued

This dang haze is hard to dry and cure proper. So to keep the buds from becoming dust I left on all but the fan leaves for the dry. The day I put the buds in the jar I cut off the outer sweet leaf that had dried. I had enough to fill a salsa jar full and kind of packed. I also had in there the wisp buds that were not dry. Rather than risk rot because it was a bit packed and the popcorn was not dry, it went in the freeze. Next day I got 100 proof vodka ... I have not bought spirits in a long while, Holy Shit! is that expensive!! No wonder folks are seeking cheaper alternatives WOW! oh well it makes for the best tasting oil I have personally tried. I took the vodka and filled the salsa jar leaving only a little room to shake. Shake I did for two days... then drained and strained through coffee filters twice. I knew right off there was more than from the quick shake method. I will never know how much as I added a little vodka to the "done" jar and "cleaned it all out right into the jar on the stove so all the purple oil will be in the same jar. All in all the purple was done with very little shake... maybe a zip, if that and a 1/2 a bottle of vodka. The hash oil was made with more shake (I looked for the scale again just for you folks but I can't find it) so the yield was better of course.

No pics... just work. The haze goes so long an the hybrids grew so fast the process is needing some tuning. I already started by taking one of the haze plants early and replaced it with big girl. I am going to cull an s girl early and replace it with whatever hybrid is showing promise. I also have to figure in a blue dream. After a long seedling stage the two blue dreams have gone into overdrive. I feel like Lucy at the candy factory :cheesygrinsmiley: Last night was big girl feeding. I have started with the 7 gallon pots... more water (think things through Buck) after I passed the 10 gallon mark I got to re-thinking the big pots, time will tell. The haze has fallen over under her own weight and I have left her like that to expose the popcorn. The haze in the big pot is going to be awesome, I wish I had made it a shrub too though. Big Girl is full into bud now and continues to impress. I have a haze x SI and a super snowdawg x SI on deck. There are more "big girl" phenotypes in the haze and snowdawg crosses :cheesygrinsmiley: I hope to get some shots tonight... but lots more work when they wake up. I got an air mover that will keep the humidity at bay. It was far less expensive than the hyped up thing I was looking at ... it is called Xchanger made by Tjernlund. So that has to be installed, I hope tonight, plus that haze has to come down at some point and that will be a night of work. I can't wait though. If you thought the last purple oil was cool wait till I use the really purple leaves of this plant!!

Purple Haze all in my brain...Sounds like you are going to be a busy boy, my friend. I have decided that there is an awful lot of wasted space in the tent with the two different aero systems...going to back to soil next rotation in the tent. Stay happy and healthy my friend and mentor!:cheesygrinsmiley:
