My new grow space

You know what's in +/- 4 months right......cant wait to share some with my buds!

I'd like to have my 1st 4 veg for another 2 weeks, so along with some decent exfoliation over the next 14 days, what can you guys recommend as an additive to my nutrients, to get these girls as massive as possible over the next 14 days. I haven't had the time to take a day and commit to the 6 hr round trip for my base soil......yet......but I have a pile of natural additives I can add to my soil or by foliar spray.

Also, my buddy KCCO77s theory holds true......the light hasn't been turned off in my DWC room since I turned power on. Veg seems to be good with 24 hrs of light. Anyone see an issue with that.....long term that we haven't thought about? Honestly unless theirs a heater in there too, I'd be afraid of night time temps in winter. I like a cooler end to flower, just not a cold start to life lol.

Have you tried a small space heater in there? I keep one outside my growspace pointed at it. Seems to work.

No not yet. I have that 400w wall heater pumping in the flower room but it has no affect in the tent. I need it to be small and safe. Maybe radiant Too?

I'd recommend a space heater, one with a thermostat. That would probably be just the ticket. I got mine at Wal-Mart, around $25 or so.

I just wanted to drop you a quick line and give a update to you all on my friend Zena, as she's 420 family now.

Zena last week was complaining about hip pain and so although we knew that she could have a tumor in her hip I was looking into pain creams at cetera for her. Turns out by Friday, that she had been admitted into the hospital and upon further inspection the doctors discovered that the cancer in her body has spread into her hip bone and she had to go in for emergency replacement surgery on Saturday.

This poor thing, this is 5 surgeries in 3 months, none of which have been easy and non-invasive.

Our thoughts are with you hun......

Me too brother...... but I do have this mountable flat panel heater that is on my wall in flower and I have to see it has been fantastic. No moving Parts, just radiant heat and my fan blowing heat around. I cannot steal warm air from my flower room and pump it back into veg, because I need the cool (not cold) air Exchange in order to keep temperatures tepid. Maybe I could do this on a timer or thermostat with another small Canfan, or as Fly suggests, maybe I can find another one of these panel heaters? All this for 4 hours of darkness lol.

Just got a rather scary message from a buddy of mine who lives in Southern Ontario. He was saying that recent power surges in his area are causing melting coffee pots, his PlayStation melted, all that sort of thing when they weren't even in use. Serious shit, can you imagine that he wasn't home when this happened....... Needless to say, his Gro has been completely chopped down as he waits for his electrician to show up.

Definitely. I wish I could help her but my meagre resources, once I have meagre resources again, will be stretched between me and my sister in law. But on the plus side, I have a plant or two starting to bud every week now. My best wishes to her though. I know what invasive surgery is like; it's the cause of my ongoing back problems

You got that right Guy. My mother in law is onto her fifth bout of cancer and hopefully the sister in law won't have to worry about that. Hopefully. Very hopefully.

So I've decided in an attempt to maximize growth over the next few days til flip, that I'm going to add a few organic amendments to my existing feeding schedule. I'm going to follow the suggestion of bobrown14 and add some kelp and EWC to this feeding.

The girls ( I missed them this past weekend) are looking great. No tip burn so I know i could have driven them a bit harder. So here's the pictures of them beautiful before I try to maximum them.. fingers crossed that they stay beautiful!

First is my Alpha dawg. Getting some size now.

Next is my soil White cookies. Not much size, but man she's pretty so far......

My 2 crown Royales. Right up there as a favourite...man they're looking and smelling nice.

My seedlings are looking good too. I've had to replant most of these girls lower in their pots due to stretch from the fluorescents (I'm used to the stacked nodes that LEDs produce) , but it's looking like they're levelling out now. These girls also got a bit of Kelp tea. (Anyone ever have an issue with their Bluelab truncheon not working right?) Maybe my clone/seedling area also needs an LED.....just thinking.

These first girls are now 21 days old......

Next are my Kushy kush; loving the idea of staggering harvest dates with these 45 day strains.

Last, one of my White Cookies after she's been buried up to her chin.....for size sake.

My buddy called me this morning in a panic. Apparently he seems to have had power surges at his place on the weekend, almost causing a fire in his home. Thank God he was home and aware both times. Not sure how the electricity from your pole has the ability to surge like that but he Ultimately lost his PS4, a microwave, a coffee maker and a few other things. It started with a smell and ended up with him fearing for his home and family as shit melted on the counter right before his eyes. In a panic he called his neighbour (who just happens to be a retired electrical inspector), but before he did that, he effectively cut down and removed EVERYTHING.......and I mean EVERYTHING. Luckily....if their is a silver lining.....he'll end up with a surge protected 200A service I'd think.....which is all of our dreams lol. Plus, himself and Peeece are the recipients of that Free insulation that I was offering last week.....just good timing for him on that .

Yeah he lost his mother too. That's what stings the most. I'm sure it was in a panic too. He knows his plants are welcome at my place.....heck has the one who introduced me to growing. My brother and I are rallying around him. My brother cut clones for him yesterday, and I'll be sexing my ATFS pretty soon and taking clones. I also plan on taking a couple of clones from each girl I flip, so all should be good to go for him when he's ready to start up again.

Thats so odd about the electronics burning themselves up. I have never heard anything like that. Craziness I tell you.

Your girls are looking good brother, nice and healthy. You are going to love using ACTs for your grows. Since I started using them on my Dwarf Lemon tree and my Mango tree.....they are growing like crazy. I am using small amounts on my Nukeheads as well. You see the colors on them. I think that between the ACTs and the soil you will be kicking serious ass my brother.

I use about 1 cup of EWC, 1 teaspoon of Raw Kelp (powder form) with 2 gallons of water. I will throw a teaspoon of "Recharge" in about once a month. I also recycle the used up EWC and kelp into future soil batches.

Turns out that Hydro One, our local Hydro supplier came out to my buddies house and threatened to turn his power off until he could correct the potential problem. Luckily, the next door neighbor that he had called over to look at everything with him was a certified electrical inspector for the city of Toronto for 23 years. Needless to say, the power is still on LOL. Ended up getting a surge protector that is installed in his panel to protect the whole house. Although it sucks, he is now able to do the improvements to his rooms that he wanted to. Me and my brother have got his back as far as new plants are concerned, his girlfriend; God bless her was smart enough to pull two of his plants out of the garbage before he tossed everything. Hopefully, we can turn them around after spending six to eight hours in a garbage bag.

With the new space and everything just getting put into use, I was not paying as close attention to the size of my girls for their age. I'm on the case now though lol. Flip days is now 6 days away. I started my Tea yesterday, it'll take me a bit to run through 15L, but it's gonna be epic. Also good to see my little pump and 8 way manifold being put to good use supplying air to my air stone in my DWC bucket as well as my ACT pail.

I posted in the above message what my veg tea is......1 cup of EWC, 1 teaspoon of RAW Kelp per 2 gallons of water. I might start adding a little bit of RAW Silica into it as well, but I might make that a foliar spray as part of my pest prevention.

The recharge is just basically super charging the soil with good guys.
