My new grow space

Leaf tip spreading promotes tighter node development. So its easy......go to the new growth on each top and gently spread the smaller new growth. What it does is open the leaves up so that light can penetrate easier and signal the plant to develop the next node. At least in theory, thats how it works. When I was doing it on my plants I experimented with the staircasing training, I was getting really really tight node development....much more so than on the plants I didn't do the leaf spreading.

I see. I do that pretty much daily anyway to check timing on topping next. I topped them all, I'll top the tops, then leave them alone. My soil white cookies, the node spacing is so tight that I cannot even open the top of the plant LOL. I started my training by bending the entire plant over sideways.

7/7 on seedlings too.......woohoo!

Girls are looking great. No pics of the DWC setup but the temps and conditions are perfect in the tent. Big smiles and a praying White Cookies through the window.

My two Crown Royales have really started to take off.

One thing I notice about my White Cookies x 2 are that they are both very compact + dense. Soil girl is definitely darker green than her DWC counterpart.

Next a few shots of transplanting my 2 ATF girls (fingers crossed). Start to done in their new 4 gallon air pots.

Gotta love my girls attitude. Her words....." why don't you fill this place up?"....lmao!

Loving the new space and it's versatility.

So 6 maturing, 7 seedlings and 3 Rhinos dropped tonight. Gonna take cuttings from my girls next 10-14 days and start my cloning for the first time.

I truly want one of my atf's to be a female as I want to turn her into a mother for cloning for my Perpetual. 2 would be incredible!

What's 3 more.....dropping the Barneys farm peyote cookies tomorrow..... If the lights are on, they might as well be doing something......am I right!?

Hey if I didn't have a legal plant limit....can you imagine what a guy out on workers comp for over a year would be growing if he didn't have a legal limit to stop him??

That's something to fantasize over. My perpetual is definitely over what will be our legal limit.

And speaking of which, why is there no limit on making home brew beer? I feel a petition coming on.

Good point.....after all, both have now seen prohibition.

I spose the quads could live in the entertainment area. Just use them as lawn chairs.
Scrog, quickie here.....

We were just discussing the temperatures on flies thread. Wondering....... My girl in dwc, I felt that being as she was under the 400 watt hid which is ideal for veg, and in a bucket which ultimately has perfect conditions..... I thought she might be growing a little larger by now? She is definitely a ton less dense than my soil white cookies, but both are about the same size. I'm wondering if the bucket might make plants more susceptible to temperature then say my crown Royal's? Does temperature in the dwc situation play into environment more than a soil grow..... Do you know? I'm going to start to more closely monitor my water temp highs and lows on her.

Water is definitely a better temperature buffer; i know that from Oceanography. It holds heat longer than soil.

Ok.....so it'll lose heat slower, but take longer to reheat....correct? Maybe raising my pot an inch, for some air flow. Get my res temps up a bit if necessary during the cold snaps.....back down for coolness when it's warmer out.

Well, raising the pots was the first thing I thought about but then I went straight to insulating the bottom of my grow space to keep the temperature swings from occurring in the first place (to the best of my abilities).

See, that's just it..... My ceilings and my walls and my floor are all R20. I think part of my problem is as my grow tent door faces the door into the gross space from my workshop, it draws cold air through the door and into their first as my intake fan used to circulate air draws from my tent. It's definitely got to be the coolest of the three spaces.

Such a shame that you are as far away as you are, I got a phone call from a guy yesterday offering me a pile of brand new insulation. Same dude that helped me with my grow space.

Can you not rotate your tent? Or is it weighed down with stuff now?

If I had that now I'd put it under that trailer haha.
