Well damn sonAbout 2 months ago, I can't remember how, but I was introduced to my new friend Jackalope. Jackalope is a very generous soul and has shared more seeds with me than ive even bought......yesterday was no exception....
I've got big plans for my space, including some breeding projects, the 1st of which I hope to be 9lb hammer x Charlottes web (although we hate to call it that due to unconfirmed genetics), we do however know that These seeds are a high CBD content strain. I also just came across some regular CBD seeds by CBD crew called Sweet and sour widow, so maybe a cross there too. Yesterdays package was no exception......youre a good man Jackalope. I'm putting a few in a teleporting machine for a friend tomorrow, seeing as we can't mention the mail. @Kingjoe83.......incoming brother. Also @Peeece, text me your address too please.......
Noticed this poor thing in veg today, toooo much LST in a short time I guess. She looks no worse for ware though....in fact she looks great.
Speaking of Veg, big difference in a few days. Here's the girls as of tonight.
I'm harvesting some plants tomorrow so it'll give me a bit of room in flower for a bit......Im sure I can fill it up while I wait for my ATF to finish hence gving me space for 6 more ATFs to join in flower. Nice long veg on these girls too.

Other than my girl and I....nobodys going in anymore. My grow space is at the back of my workshop so hopefully within the next couple of weeks I will have the workshop floor finished and it will make it much easier to keep things clean upon entry. I tell you one thing, I could use a Dyson in the grow area LOL. No shoes is a great start towards prevention.

Jackalope has sent me so many Joe that it's hard for me to remember which strains have which attributes. That being said, I have kept all of the conversations between him and myself moving forward to make sure that I pick the correct strain for what I'm looking for. I have already started to 6 trailer trash Betty's upon Jackalopes advice for the outside grow this summer. They are already above ground in my seeding tent. These seeds range from green to purple, short to tall, Indica to sativa...... Now I just get to choose LOL.Well damn son

In truth I'd love to cross the 9lb hammer with the strong CBD genetics. I have regular seeds from both the CBD sour widow and the 9lb, so that might be my "x", depending on how we do over the summer. If my gro space continues to be a complete pain in the ass as to the temperatures, I made turn my summer into a breeding project in the cabinet inside my house. That'll give me something to do LMAO.
Really looking forward to a bunch......time, oh time.

On a different note, we got some bad news on the weekend that we were hoping wouldnt come. My girlfriend's older brother has had some issues stepping back about 2 years when he started to lose his eyesight. Not to the point of being blind but to the point of it limiting his abilities. He has recently had his driver's license taken away all because of something called posterior cortical atrophy. PCA is basically the shrinking of the back of his brain. It is a direct derivative of Alzheimer's disease. Turns out, the eye surgery that he had to fix what they believed was a cornea problem was a surgery that didn't even need to be done. The PCA caused symptoms where he believed, as did his doctor that he was having degenerative cornea issues causing sight problems. When his sight problems didn't get any better, they started looking further and that's when they started to discover this neurological degenerative disease. He waited 2 weeks for the results from his MRI and although they were somewhat inconclusive, they did give him a diagnosis. Not sure how many of you are familiar with PCA but it is f'n horrible. The worst part is that you are there ....... You are mentally completely there. You see the rest of your body degenerating around you. He's scared and angry.....and I can't say that I blame him.
I have spoken with SweetSue, and she has given me some material to read as well as a pep talk to guide me through this process. My attitude, and those surrounding my brother in law is as always.....the key to his day to day attitude. I wholeheartedly will do my best to take care of my brother-in-law the best that I can. Hopefully between some CBD medications, his daily surroundings and his doctor's advice..... We can all get through this.
Needless to say when I started flushing my 2 CBDurban middle of last week, I had no idea that this was happening but the timing couldn't be better.

Also, I recently read that when buds are almost at the end of their flowering cycle and they are subjected to excessive heat, that they will throw out new pistils.... (No pic, my phone battery was at 9%). That is exactly what I noticed on my blueberry yesterday, one of the biggest reasons that I started checking my trichomes a little bit closer. It's also when I discovered that I did have a bit of Amber and mostly cloudy on her. Needless to say, my blueberry will also be coming down tonight. My ATF still has about two weeks to go. This will give my 3 Wight Rhino, and my three peyote cookies the run of the grow space for at least another 10 days until my next ones are introduced.

Thanks Derb. Brutal you know. Poor guy. I feel for my sister in law too. Poor thing, she just lost her mother, their son is schizophrenic and now her partner gets a diagnosis like this. Amazing how she's holding on......i guess you just do....I make myself available to them all.

Ill be making oil within the next 48 hours from the the CBDurban, then into capsule form. I've got the system down now lol. Id like to be making another big batch, hoping that the girls are nice to me.

Had a great night tonight in the tent as I was harvesting my two CBDurban and my Blueberry.
As per usual, of the two CBD plants the one that I thought was heavier turned out to be the later of the two LOL. Beautiful symmetrical plants though, both of them. Love the purples showing up.
Next is my Canuk Blueberry. Honestly I couldn't be happier with this Beast. By Far and Away the heaviest colas I have ever produced. I know I suffered a bit of heat stress at the end causing them to throw out new pistils, that was my sign to harvest as well as checking the trichomes on the lower branches only.
I'll conclude quickly with a brief glimpse of the Next Generation. My critical mass, my blue dream, and my six outdoor plants the trailer trash Betty's.
Going great over here, got my AC unit wrapped up and I have a little bit of ammunition on how to introduce it into conversation with my girl lol.

eyesight loss is hard to describe to anyone who hasn't had to go through it. there is a lot of frustration and what can only be described as a mourning period associated with it.
i have optic nerve necrosis and have lost 1/3 sight in one eye and will lose more over time. some larger centers have support groups centered around degenerative eye conditions, the cnib is only one resource. make sure your BIL reaches out.
weed lowers the pressure in the eyeball slightly, decreases eyeball strain and can provide a physical relief depending on condition. it also curbs migraine issues closely associated with many optic problems. i am sure you are aware of these benefits but your BIL might not. it may not help with his particular trouble but it sure can't hurt.

Wow @bluter, thanks for the kind words..... the later is just for comparison sakes, unless of course @Van Stank asks LMAO. he's aware, it's also strange to watch him go through periods where he feels he is being left out.... Strange how one behavior effects another. We include as much of the family as we can in our daily activities...... Dave is of course no exception.

Ok so I've allowed the MB2 to cool down overnight and she's allowed me to strain the mixture giving me just under my initial 500 mls of oil left. So 2 ozs of mostly dry bud, decarbed for 90 minutes at 200°f.
Here's my calculation......
5600mg of CBDurban / 500 mls of Grapeseed oil
= 11.2 mg of goodness / ml.
My capsules are size "0", therefore .70ml.
= 11.2 mg x .7
= 7.8 mg CBD & THC / capsule.
I've still got another 2 ozs of dry CBDurban as well. I'll keep that curing in a mason jar for future use.
Also, minus the stalks I'll have this beauty jar of Blueberry to add to the cupboard too. One more day with an open top before getting sealed up.
