My Low Budget Medical Grow

nice field you got growing there. how do you like the led panel so far?
Hey b.real I love this panel so far for a # of reasons.
Virtually no heat like pressing back of hand to leds adn on top feeling very little ,I think you could burn some touching a household cfl being on for awhile.
this light I believe draws less watts than my T5 having 4 four foot bulbs and because the light is way more intense they are not stretching much as this light has stayed the same hieght since day one LED, they are for sure growing and looking well to my past experiences.

My current problem is they need to be flowered now and I at best may be able to on Aug first.
Other factors in play on waiting longer is I would have to transplant or even clone and then trash these plants which could happen when I finally find out what will be going on with our home.

Back to my TopLed 96x3w reflector light I am almost convinced I wont be running my t5 or HID again,Im really curious on how they will flower. All Im looking for is an equal or better flower than the 400w I started this journal on to seal the deal.
Thanks for stopping by Bro :passitleft:
In vegging I didnt veg much with MH or HPS just my T5 and I believe it is much better

For vegetative growth I would use a 18/6 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness lighting schedule. I read a study where lighting schedule versus root length was tested and plants grown under a 16/8 lighting schedule grew the longest roots, 18/6 was not tested. I was made aware of a study where lighting schedule versus growth was tested and plants given at least 5.5 hours of darkness grew the most.

It has been unusual for me running a light this way non stop KingJohnC .I dont plan on it anymore and am still trying to plan a space setup to begin flowering them.
This is the last set up I had in the closet in the space I have lit now but I have to DIY a cheap space again.

kind of emptied way back in march
daves_0268.JPG

and where and how my light is planned to be with like 2 foot to go up and the plants are probably around 14 to 16 inches from led finally
daves_00930.JPG

I should get measurements
This time my thoughts are to have 2 pieces of thin plywood the same size for one on floor and the other sitting on top of the shelves for roof,I wil leave my light hanging as is off the shelf/ clothes rack.
I will also hang my fan and filter from the shelves completely inside teh grow space.
I will have to get another piece of white black film to be held on my walls with 2 sided tape and some push pins when needed like I did last time but seal it better to teh plywood roof.
with a passive intake on teh floor which is near a hvac vent that if our AC is fixed will probably be used and help keep the space cooler I hope. for teh door I am thinking maybe 1x2 or 2x2 ,the cheapest for sure as studs connected to both plywoods to use for door jam with a hinged door I will try and have a light proof and air tight seal.
This needs to happen with the little money I can use.
My paranoria with some inside work being done soon to home has been tearing me up.
break down on drama
report before planned lease inspection the next day and all that was said on that "next day a friday" this just inspection,so we report again and told on that same Friedday mid week earliest no later than following Friedday for them to just look at problem and A/c fixed for sure on that Friedday. Nothing so called again to check up and was told after finishing a job theyd show just to look at problems and didnt ,after weekend they did after we call hear sorry number 14 on ac list but they did come check the interior problem and was being taken serious and big enough for contractors that we was told later would show next coupl days making todays sunrise day 3.They shold be showing up or we call again
This is just to set up work and who knows when that would be actually happening.
Im more leaning to set up since no traffic comes near area in limbo so far and shouldnt be required. I have unplugged cords and camoflauged grow during those times of entry and this is why its been just plugged in and not set up with timer
Again I am a legal patient with fewer plants and medicine allowed and they are in a locked room, just have kidz in house and dont want any attention or be evicted or worse .
Im feeling setting up is kinda better than not right now.
So anyways KingJohnC I hope to have my light on a timer in 2 days at 12/12:popcorn:
What consequences will I be paying for vegging these plants 24/7 and switching to 12/12 same led lighting I wonder.
They may have vegged too much and I really hope to get by without another transplant except for my berry bomb I should just do regardless of male thinking on looks only because rootbound stress could be a helping hand on its issue,I have nothing cooking and thinking 1 part used mix i part my compost 1 part ewc 1 part chunky perlite and probably P bat guano.my mycos dusting at transplant and maybe this same 1/2 strength recomonded GO Box feed schedule
:Namaste: Lots on my mind so trouble sleeping and why posting this late in my world:peace:

I believe with at least 6 hours of darkness per day in vegetative growth your plants will grow faster and grow a larger supporting root structure as well. I do not believe that you shall have an issue with your plants going from 24/0 42 hours of light and 0 hours of darkness to a 12/12 schedule for flowering.

Thats good to know and for kidding sake my roots shouldnt be as bound because of the light hours given so not transplanting could get me by:)
Relaxed Lester can grow some big plants in medium size pots that end truely rootbound but still produceing great results
Really I would rather have a taller pot to transplant in like 3 gallon size to let those roots run deeper ,but my 3 gallon pots on hand are near same height but wider than these which are almost 2 gallon ones I think< not the berry bomb it is only in a one gallon pot at best and orginally potted in from sprouting. I just seen Capns sig on telling sex before preflower here How to predict the sex of your cannabis plant. Pre-flowers. - Blogs - 420 Magazine ®
I wil be checking with my scope to see whats going on with it tonight.I am constantly bumming not being able to show quality photos

Last night I did look at my Berry Bomb plant grown under led at 24 hours light 7 days a week since sprouting for 35 days now .
I used a 60x scope to check and the first node I looked at near the top a triangualer spot protruding right off the stem next to a new growth shoot and the leaf stem and on the opposite side seen the same with what looked to be the start of 2 pistils possibly comming out of the tip of it.
I am now thinking this plant is female and need to get her transplanted asap
It still looks deprived of nutrients and I hope the transplant I have to make happen tonight will help out,Its as tall as the tallest in the grow and so main top growing my thoughts are to lolly pop and clone those and plant it deeper with a stake. These plants so need to flower by the looks of them and even though shit at this lease is draggin slow I have to set up and flip since it wouldnt make a difference much anyways beside maybe harder to hide oh well, this is too important for me and my quality of life.
I did water everyone last night also, I started by making a gallon with 5ml grow 7.5 ml CaMg 5ml marine 5ml bioroot 2.5 ml bioweed.
My last water I watched the leaves on big 3 droop with the weight and even looking Nitrigen heavy but they did straighten up a day later,
My soil in pot was shrinking and water had went through sides fast then too soo just before I watered I added my compost as a mulch and packed it down the edges and covered the surface and watered slowly with 1 cup at a time stopping after 3 cups each on the herer, mystic, and grape ape. Then I just did a little pour of the extra BIoweed in teh leftover nutrient mix and put 3cups of this in my berry bomb and gave the other 3 1 cup each of this stuff more.
This turned out to be less water than the last time used and with less run out.The pots were dry and there was a little leaf weight seen after water but way less and a quicker recovery

I ended up watering plain tap water that had sat out mostly in drip tray and just alittle on the compost mulch to keep moist at the end of 8/5 a few hours ago.
I have been putting stuff off still of setting up or hooking atimer but have manually keep 12 or more hours darkness during the day with tonight being 3rd day of flower lights on. Im close to getting better pictures like within a few days at best and a week at worst.

I did another plain water at about 3 cups each from the top tonight. I can now post pictures again using a usb cord and took some of the crop to show. I gave the first 12 hours dark on 8/2 manually about 9am to 9pm making it flower day 5 for my plants

my 3 clones have a canopy around 10 to 12 inches from the light and the Berry Bomb is like 6 inches from it
I am thinking of raising this light soon and also starting bloom nutrients at half strength for week 5 early bloom,I was getting afraid of over fertilizing and went plain water lightly last 2 times in last 2 days. I still have to transplant the berry bomb I first thought female 6 days ago . Im slacking big with that, and no timer used still or grow space set up to be light proof.

overall I have seen improvemnet on the Berry Bomb since adding more CaMg+ for them all and extra Bio Weed for it like KingJohnC suggested :thumb:and I am very pleased with this TopLed 96 x 3w reflector light. I am planning a 70 day flower time and know I dont have enough to carry me through. There is stil issues with them getting work started here and fixing A/C. I also believe workers came inside while we were gone let in by maintenance(2days ago) to measure and give bid that if is over a level must be approved by managements higher ups.Im gonna carry on my legal medical grow and hope for the best and not let paranoia win.

I would also cover your carpet in plastic to prevent any spills and also to prevent moulds from growing in the grow area.

A smart idea and tonight looks to be my time to seal this space up where I will have the floor and my plants protected better:)
I need to get more white black plastic and 2 sided tape to carry out my plans for it. Gorilla and two sided tape are going to be my way to keep the reflective plastic up and the wood together mainly .

I took some pictures of my plants today on flower day 10. Still didnt set up space or transplant girl berry bomb with visible pistils now either. I did water them flower day 7 or 8 with first bloom nutrients and today they still felt wet heavy but they have stretched up a bit,Oh yeah I didnt raise my light either yet. Now Im worried if I do my blue mystic will stretch out more than I want so Im holding off as much as I can even though the berry bomb is about 3.5 inches from the TopLed 96 x 3w reflector. This was at first look with my berry bomb out front 35inches tall from floor and her from above

bluemystic clone that looked to be taking the same route as seed mom and that sparked some early pruning I couldnt wait until day 21 for and now hope that doesnt make things get worse.
daves_02214.JPG

daves_02416.JPG

that was alot of potential clones but there are still enough left for when I finally cut clones. The other bluemystic sister clone went to my friends for immediate flower along with my original berry bomb seed clone both of which look better now at about 6 weeks flower than my attempts by far and full of trichomes like I had never seen and under some nice cfl bulbs too.I hope to get a picture to show ! I may have vegged my bluemystic way too long and same with my original berry bomb plant. This seed they let me sprout of berry Bomb I lollipopped to have everything going to main top with a couple branches left to clone with still.I can see pistils clearly with my 30x scope now ,not wby eye yet,and couldnt get a good picture,
daves_02512.JPG

I did clean up down low on the herer and grape ape too alot more potential clones again chopped up and fed to our worms.
I did notice some spidermite marks on the jack herer again(no preventative maintenance, just that one sns 217 spray it seems long ago when she was half the size of now if that)on about 5 leaves so I sprayed her again with SNS 217 but only her to help kill them and I plan to use neem oil next on them all since I am low on the sns 217 now and it will be for a future outbreak.
Its sitting a least a foot out of light footprint of my light where I feel comfortable even after burning them on that other application
Thankyou for checking out my grow and the likes given:thumb:

your plants look great! I think they're fine that close to the light. I wouldn't let them get closer than 6" though :goodjob:

Thanks b.real. If it wasnt the Berry Bomb up in the light almost I would just leave it there like it is still, well, I wouldnt be thinking about raising I guess. I have been watching Colorado High - Soilless - LED/CFL - Skunk Red Hair - 2014 with the same light and his tent is like the same size of my grow space I need to get set up still and just after the stretch there the plants are 20 some inches below the Led at its highest point.Im afraid of raising the light and my stretch going crazy on me right now.

:420:When I sprayed the Herer and left it out intense light teh leaves made it without the burns like I did before.I did see many pistils turned orangish and put her back under light overall looking fine 8/13/14. Last night 8/14/14 as the lights turned on she was looking super thirsty with hanging leaves.I was already planning a nutrient watering later so I quickly poured some plain water over mulch and in the tray to help her out unitl I was able to water a few hours later.
For the nutrients I had already gave first flowering dose of week 5 early flower but missed the BioBud adding. Then I read some words of a relaxed grower :) about holding off those flower nutes in the beginning of flower to help prevent early yellowing in flower. It made sense to me so this mixture I used was a compromise by lowering BIothrive bloom to 2.5ml adding 5ml BioWeed and then the 5ml bio root, 5ml biomarine, 5ml CaMg+ and I did add 2.5 ml BioBud.
this was before nutrients but a few hours after emergency water for the Jack, still droopy and flower day 12

and how they looked water heavy after the feed,I didnt check them this morning and hope they straightened out, will photo them tonight at day 13 maybe lol

Since my last update I have raised my light for first time ,I have it angled a little this time to keep it close to the canopy. On flower day 14 I also took 15 minutes off the lights on and plan on taking 15 minutes per week until at 10 hours light 14 dark around the tenth week of flower and I will keep it there until I chop them. My Berry bomb did get a only her water with some Bioweed and CaMg poured in a few days ago and last night they were all in need but I was concerned of overfeeding so I just gave plain un ph adjusted tap water that sits out for days to them all.Oh before I watered I scratched in a scoop of my mycos and high P guano and covered with more of my compost. I guess the overfeeding thought was Nitrogen and I didnt want to curl them up but the funny thing is I am usindg half the dose on feedings and I use to use full doses. My mix isnt consistent with ammending it different usually each time but the base mix was first grown with in 2012. I have been ammending with homemade compost ,bought organic fertilizers and earthworm castings along with watering in the General Organics line during the grows since.
this was the first look on the grow on flower day 16 and the light over the berry bomb is the low side of its angle with that plant now 39 inches from floor,my old light hieght was 38.5 inches level before

how I left the plants in their new arrangement
daves_01435.JPG

those leaves werent saggy this morn before lights out about 10 hours later. I measured the space they are taking up and it is 2 foot by 3 foot, I would like to eventually sett up the space better and tie down and spread out those main toppers, some defoliation and clones cut for flower day 21 in hopes of a better yield .
My berry bomb is asking to be supercropped if she dont slow down. Overall I am happy with this grow and my light and have been thinking of checking out similar time of flower under my hps for some comparison. :passitleft:

Today is day 23 of flower and I tried some for some nice pictures and got these:( but I also watered them with just 5ml CaMg to a gallon of water.I still see them at border of N toxicity and this is the 2nd of 3rd waterings with just CaMg,but the middle one was just plain.
daves_00830.JPG

I didnt super crop the berry bomb when I started to roll the spot to bend to do it the plant arched over without bending and I hung a clothes hangerat the spot I wanted the main to stand up at and it did. She is flowering slow barely starter buds. I did supercrop 5 branches on the blue mystic and they all went good on small one stood up the others just the topper did with out anything holding them but soon I will have to I thinks.this work has happened a few days ago

I belive this is a herer shoot

the jack herer is in the back there with the bottom three toppers from the grape ape, there tallest ones are same hieght

I didnt set up grow space or cut clones yet either . Most important I'm out of good buds. I have some bluemystic left that is nothing to me,I am mixing roaches of herer and the grape ape with it to have any relief. Anticipated harvest is around October 14/2014:oops:
