My Low Budget Medical Grow

Then I gave my clones a much needed transplant and watered them with plain tap water sitting for over a week without checking PH.
daves_01325.JPG

The old Berry Bomb clone was heavy pruned and will finally be given to my friends to flower in about a week,I put this off too too long and hope it grows better than my experiences with it for them. The extra branches on left side I will probably clone from and prune up to tie down.It was just used mix with the soil underneath rootball having only some high P guano mixed in and them some wormacastings scratched in on top after filling pot up
for my other clones 2 Blue Mystic, 1 Grape Ape and my 4th gen Jack Herer clone which is coming out of reveg at about 1o weeks starting from a flowering cut under 4 household cfl bulbs on 16/8 hours.
daves_01615.JPG

The soil mix on these was 3 parts used mix 1/2 part store bought ewc and 1/2 part homemade compost and them some high P guano.
I want to get clones rooting off these before I flower them.ON the seeds I started for my buddies only the Berry Bomb reg seed rooted and because I forget stuff was planted yesterday and already had cotyldon? leaves out in the wet paper towel in a baggy.I left those leaves getting light at soil surface and today its standing near an inch.
My Blue Mystic clones are looking ready to flower now and I did clean up any small stuff below kinda lolly popping but these plants are still in veg mode,I am thinking one to go to my friends to flower with the berry bomb. It sounds crappy kinda giving clones of plants I wasnt happy with but they are old school and enjoy the leaves more than me.I have the optomistic thoughts they could grow better too

b.real
nice light! hopefully you and your plants like it.

It should be awhile for me to figure this light out but I am liking it so far and I think the clones are too.We will see after a week how things are :thanks:

Crawdaddy
The 96X3W has been vegging great for me so far, not sure how good it is for flower yet though.

I am not worried about being let down with this light and I also thought it was doing great in your comparison through veg into flowering.I just found out you ended up trashing those plants due to spidermites and to give us a more stable comparison. +reps man for that and to bug free buds:bravo:

SO about 2 weeks after last picture update of day one for my plants under my new Led and their transplant. I just plugged it in at 24/7 light hours and did not set up my grow space yet still and they were only fed once 3 days ago of half nutrient level on GO Box early growth dose. Plain un PH adjusted water was given at transplant and litely one more time before the first feeding.TOnight at pictures they feel light, like another water tomorrow night and I will probably go full recomended dose.I never adjusted height of the light either. I can say I am very happy with this light, things like not stretching much but bushing out are seen with my light distance. I have high temps from the house air and am realizing how hard it would be to grow indoors without air conditioning especially with no basement.
I did give one blue mystic clone and that big berry bomb clone to my friends to grow 12/12,Their berry bomb seedling I sprouted will not be big enough for them to flower in the appropriate time so I will eventually flower this one I hope to be a female:)
you would have to look at last pics to see growth and I believe my blue mystic clone was front left that I kept up there,She grew most and looks sativa leaved and ready to flower but I have to wait and will probably be pruning and LSTing her real soon
0071333.JPG

Its the berry bomb reg seedling that shows not stretching much and is the furthest away.It was transplanted from wet papertowel with cotyldon leaves out already right in that pot 2 weeks ago and has only seen led light It's maybe 5 inches now
0101000.JPG

011860.JPG

the grape ape clone is liking the led and is growing the clones I want to chop soon just fine after I had leaned her over to get better light down low with a pair of scissors at least a week ago?

0091092.JPG

Now my next 2 plants have an issue going on lets start with blue mystic clone where about half of the leaves are white stained unless its yellow and the led has it looking white but I was thinking it to be a defiencey not Nitrogen if white and was hoping the feeding would help and it may have but I need to look into this more
013714.JPG

More serious is my herer clone although she is looking good and is digging this light and a partial lean to help the lower branches on the reveg Those little F**kers are back on this one:(

016533.JPG

kinda in the middle not every leaf yet and they will all get first sns 217 spray after this post and I hope to get on a prevention routine to have things clean for flower I am hoping to flip in like 3 weeks:Namaste:

Here are some different light shots when I pulled this blue mystic clone out that is having an issue I still need to figure out.

Then I performed some LST to open up 8 toppers I plan to flower.I will cut some clones (I want to flower much sooner than this one) and do the cleaning up prune Sunday night.
daves_00537.JPG

This plant and my others were sprayed good with SNS and then I left them out about 20 minutes to dry off and replaced them back under the light
Back to the leaf problem on my Blue Mystic clone I will be researching here on :420: tomorrow on its problems

Your leaf damage may be a magnesium deficiency, are you supplementing calcium and magnesium?
CRS here since I wasnt feeding properly or growing decent basically early on when these clones were cut but gave the first real measured nutrient feeding when I fed them a half recomended does of all parts of GO early growth dose 5mlgrow 2.5ml CaMg+ 5ml Bio Root 2.5mlBIoweed 5mlBioMarine 5ml Diamond Black on 7/6/14 mixed in a gallon of tap water sat to dechlorinate
She hasnt really gotten worse since that feeding even from the spray and back under lights but my BFF's (herer/grape ape)taught me to not spray SNS 217 and put back under lights. I knew that and still did it but didnt have much leaf burn spots on the good big upper laeves its was the new growth tips on most branches that yellowed shriveled and were cooked. I just took pictures of 2 days after spray and can not get my computer to read sd to import them.thats BS I really think my computer of 6-7 years just broke in that spot
I feel they will regrow, well hope so since most were my clones I want to be trying this Sunday

On the Blue Mystic plant she looks untouched and also is most lightest pot. I should just give her a solo feed but light becaouse I think my compost holds water too long and I should start a lighter watering more often to get more nutrients to them since I didnt ammend heavy or first cook this mix I transplanted them in.

And Most of all thankyou KingJohnC for that advice as I was not thinking that. :thanks:

an old gallery pic of my nutrient doses recomended
daves_00111.JPG

Then I was thinking that if I wait until August first to flip and the home AC doesnt get fixed or used the nights should cool down the second half of flowering 10 weeks up into October

The last watering didnt happen until 7/12 around 11p.m. I kept all measurements the same except the CaMg was increased to 5ml and I stopped the Diamond Black.
Thats 5ml grow 5ml CaMg 5ml BioRoot 2.5 ml BioWeed 5ml Bio Marine to a gallon of tap water and there was decent amount left atleast a quart after watering of about 5 cups BlueMystic 3 cups to Grape Ape and Jack Herer and about 1 cup to Berry Bomb.
I have a 1/2 teaspoon that I use for measuring that also says 2.5 ml,Thats why I use the ml measurements and its easy to type:)
Last night I was noticing the BLueMystic to be looking better from the extra CaMg. The leaves on the plants are looking good green and not yellowing down low so that is why I am not upping the other nutrients yet. With the led off they look better and pretty good in my grow ways.
I would like for them to be light to water/ feed again tonight at 3 days or by tomoorow 4 days between waterings.Oh I didnt cut my clones yet either but have been pinching nodes off on those branches to be cloned and most other nodes except toppers on the blue mystic, herer grape ape.Im leaving leaves for now, just trying to slow the branching.
except my seedling Berry Bomb I still cant post pictures yet :( BUt had a different looking issue of needing more Nitrogen or showing needing magnesium and calcium different than the bluemystic, but its getting better a little from the last feeding and the herer, grape ape and berry bomb still show effects of spraying the plants and putting them back under the light. The new growth tips cooked grew out with deformed leaves and the newest ones poking out are looking right so far :ciao:

Check out my fem Jack Herer seed after sitting in zip loc for about 48 hours. I got 2 of them and the first I believe I killed mostly so this will be my last attempt Its looking better, sorry bad pic, but I wish it was more greenish at the cotyledon I think I see that seems color of seedshell. I ripped open the cube to set her in there in a position with a down pointing radical that is white this time:thanks:Still waiting on seeing it grow now out of cube, Really needing this to happen
daves_001.JPG

daves_002.JPG

I moistened with phd water and wrung out but it looked dry during that pic and after I put her in the dome gave it a splash more

SO this was when my Black Skull fem Jack Herer seed strain started and I squared her up for over a year through the ups and downs of a little closet grow poorly funded.
I never tried Jack Herer before or any other kind of it since but this has been my best strain so far.I actually havent tried any other kind from a dispensary or from a friend that feels as good and strong yet. Maybe I am biased because it came from my garden but what I like best is most of the time over the last winter the Jack Herer is all I had every day for months and I never wore out or became tolerant of her. I may have become used to and more tolerant to good weed because of this strain and Im not gonna complain
My new family member:) Barneys Farm fem Grape Ape I hope to learn better and keep going with my Herer.
My first try on this strain ended up the frostiest I have grown I believe more than my herers too. It is a different feel of more relaxed, opposite of the herer that is a motivation for me, but is a potent contender I would like to grow longer next run and use for evenings or when I just need to relax.
SO not better in overall compared to my herers lately but so close in my opinion. And since she did OK in my setup of used mix and heat I am very eager to keep squaring her and getting better from this Grape APe.

um I am not so happy not being able to post pictures . It was a big part of the whole experience I enjoy sharing:(
I have to find a toy camera that imports by usb cords since the sd slot is as broke as me right now.
My plants are beasting up in my opinion and there have been 2 nutrient waterings since last feeding reported both being same as last reported too.
I have to thank KingJohnC again for the magnesium thought because when I first started the half recomended doses the problem halted in the bluemystic of whiteish look spotty leafs whole plant and then when I raised only the cal mag to full recomended dose and left everything the same the plant nearly cleared up all that look and looks great, letting me believe she may flower better than the original seed mom. :thanks: KJC
I mentioned before the new seed berrry bomb plant showing signs of nutrient deficients of either N or magnesium but looking way different than the blue mystic.I never really put its picture up but now the look is magnesium with all leaves showing the dark green leaf viens and light green to yellowish margins in between. The current feedings with 5ml of calmag arent helping at all.Teh last feeding I put a compost mulch on thinking it would help but not for that purpose it turns out.
SO now I am thinking I need to try a different approach for magnesium on this berry bomb. maybe I should try a flush first to at least say I tried and try to figure out the soil ph too. If that keeps things the same maybe I should foliar feed my calmag to the berry bomb? I thought of epsom salt too but I have very little experience with its use as foliar or soil drench and if the kind you can buy at almost any drugstore is OK or should I look for a specific kind ?
I wish I could post a picture for visual inspection to show better than I can explain but until then I thought I described the looks fairly well and would like to hear any thoughts on my problem:thanks:

for the herer and grape ape they look great with the little sign of top leaf stem redish purple and underside green but all leaves nice green and no need for extra Nitrogen thats why I have not gone past half recomended dose. I remember KingJohnC posting that may be a sign of needing CaMg too but not severe? Maybe I should up the CaMg dose to 7.5ml or 1 and a 1/2 teaspoon to my current feeding amounts of 5ml or 1 teaspoon.
Then the one shoulder says that I should just use plain water before N clawing starts from overfeeding once in awhile or every other water
teh other says keep up the half recomended dose to the end every water unless the plant calls for more since My GO nutrients are for every water I was told by the great KJC much earlier in this journal.
I know factors like my soil and new light are to be recognized but my past feedings were almost always full strength and this half dose on everthing except CaMg may be just right .
Ok enough rambling here so if you could let me know what you think I would appreciate:peace:

Thank you kindly! I am glad I could help you! You can try to increase your CaMg+ to 7.5 millilitres per gallon and increase your BioWeed to offset the current nutrient requirements of your plant. Regular Epsom Salts can be used as a magnesium and sulphur supplement. You can foliar feed Epsom Salts at 2.5-5 millilitres per gallon. Epsom Salts can be used at 1-2 teaspoon per gallon to treat a deficiency. Some people have reported nutrient burns when using a higher dosage of Epsom Salts with a nutrient mixture.

Thankyou even more KingJohnC I will increase the CaMg+ to 7.5ml next water which could be tomorrow for all plants and see how that flys.
If more help will be needed on berry bomb I will foliar feed epsom at lower dose first.
On the BioWeed increase I might try to use this just on the berry bomb because I have seen a somewhat recent post of a berry bomb picture post of a nice plant with the comment it was a heavy feeder
but this berry bomb is in a smaller containor than the other 3 plants in same size ones and I think it would be easier for foliar, not giving extra to the others.
I will flower the others in their current pots but this berry bomb could use a transplant. I almost dont want to do it because it looks male like with out showing sex yet and I would just be happy fixing this issue for the experience.
 :adore: KingjohnC

I just took and uploaded some pictures from my kids camera just to show some life. All my pictures on this journal were from a camera with just 12.1 mega pixels, sadly this kidizoom only has 1.3 mega pixels :yikes:
You can see my Berry Bomb reg seed plant stands out very well
I do have to water tonight and I will up the CaMg+ to 7.5ml to one gallon water along with 5ml BIothrive Grow 5ml Bio Root and 2.5ml Bioweed 5ml Bio Marine and only for this BB I will add some extra Bioweed to its drink as much as 1.25ml 1/4 tsp to its 2-3 cups.I dont think this will be too much and it could be this BB is low on Nitrogen also. KingJohnC did suggest adding Bioweed to offset the current nutrients of this plant. :thumb:I didnt do anything (flush, check soil ph, foliar feed anything) so far from my posts and last water so we can see how things go afterwards.
Here are some of those pictures with plants sitting left Blue Mystic front center Berry Bomb and center back Grape Ape and Herer on the right.

The room isnt set up yet and there is no timer being used either, and no clones cut so far. I have to get this going to flip on Aug 1 because I will not make it happily through to my next harvest. Still home issues of work needing to be down by park on this leased trailor worrying me about even flipping.I hope to have a better idea by then to make the call on this flip:Namaste:

My electric was read from june to july and the next bill will show this LEd on 24/7.The last bill from may to june was the cheapest in the last 13 months, I was flowering my last harvest hps half of the bill and started the Led the other half.I would be pretty amused if this next bill comes out lower
