I would change the res after a 60% - 70% drop in EC (ppm) at the longest. I get nervous after a 50% drop, i.e. from 900 ppm to 450 ppm. You hope the plant will eat everything at the same rate but .............Ahoy There!

Is there a percentage of ppm where it makes sense to 100% replace nutrient solution even though it has not been a full week. My biggest lady burns through over 80% in about 4 days. @Rexer and @West Hippie and my younger brother @Hafta have all held back from teaching me hot topping. I think I am ready to get better. Help an old hippie out.

I would change her out , my girls do the same in the 5 gallon buckets , Four days is normal . You’ll never make a week once they get into flower . I normally start at 1000-1100 ppm then hit 300-350 ppm I change her out . I hot topped when I ran advanced Nutrients but not with the mc.Ahoy There!
