My Introduction To DWC Hydroponics

Clearing out (Harvesting) the last of my peat based garden ladies.
How will you be handling drought in hydro? Caplan mentioned* adding NaCl which will prevent the roots from taking up water, but you will probably be in uncharted waters regardless of the azimuth!

This has probably already been posted on here but I don't remember seeing it and in case it hasn't; Here is an interesting interview with Dr. Caplan. Talk about drought stress starts at 50:35

SHED, Can you post that video also over in the draughting thread also?

LMAO, thank you brother. Your confidence in me is well placed? I am still nervous about hydroponics.

I have not a doubt that the crew will find ways. When we look at the talent that is surrounding me it will be hard to fail. My friend Deron may have a fancier lab coat than me (competitive, a bit), but he is not a @420 member. I will beat him to the finish line. I will drought a fully fertigated cultivar before him. Hah

@Rexer @Azimuth @Hafta @Stunger @StoneOtter @Krissi Carbone and the list goes on and on.

I might be reading between some lines here.
I think @InTheShed just told me he understands what azimuth is.
Must be bucking for a promotion. hehe

Ahoy There!
With this break in the weather the pups are wanting to hit the woods. After reading a bit over at @Tokin Roll place, I think a nice walk in the woods is in order. Truth be told I do my best thinking and praying out there. Today is a great day for both. I stumbled on his work tinkering with circadian rhythms and functions. Light manipulations of sort that have my head spinning. Imagine the fun we can have ifin Tok will bring me up to speed.

Ahoy there mate,

I will be updating my post on light manipulation soon, but let me break it down real quick.

Everything that grows, grows and lives its life cycle under light manipulation from the sun. When you grow your ladies you place them under a light schedule for veg, but you change it for flower. That is light manipulation.

I will be starting a schedule of 21.36 light period, followed by a 12 dark period. I will be on this schedule for two weeks and then change back to 12/12. I did not make up this time, I researched it.

Objective is to show the growth potential in size and yield with just 2 week of playing.

Since, I am growing White Widow I will explain how to use light manipulation to make White Widow turn white when the time comes.

One very important fact when you grow using light manipulation, never interrupt the 12 dark period.

This is not necessarily a new thing; it has been around for awhile, but kind of new to cannabis growing.

Hope this helps.

Stay safe, and grow well my friend,
Tok..

@West Hippie ran 21.36 on a grow but I'll be damned if I remember what his final thoughts were on it. Maybe he'll stop by with his recollections!
Thanks @InTheShed it was alright it was the purple punch grow one plant did produce 28 ounces but I had the bad ass light also . I may try it again one day , it definitely filled in the voids on the buds . @Maritimer looking awesome in the grow room . Another thread started just the mother plant Here Candy Kush.

Here is @Hafta 's thread where he draughted in hydro. He'll be a good one to help you through that part.

@Maritimer
Are you planning to drought your current DWC plant or wait until you get your new set-up in place?
How much water is your plant using per day?

Moved rooms for better flow.

Hey Maritimer your hydro grow is coming along well!
Hey bro
no time for any proper post today. trying to get everything done before surgery tomorrow. Having a Boston Scientific Nerve Stimulator put in my spine permanently. Hope springs eternal. 👩‍🌾

Here's hoping for a successful outcome and a quick recovery.

The question was once asked

Whether it is noblier of the mind, to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,...?

Surgery was cancelled by an administrator at the VA deciding not to pay for civilians working on my back. 40 minutes prior to my procedure. Ouch ouch.

Always the path he lays in front of me,
lest I forget where I came from,
and where I am going.

I am off to play hydrodave 👩‍🌾
