My First Time Growing

Lembatoast has a very specific way of cloning, with a very high success rate, It is worth considering.

Toast's 2016 Indoor/Outdoor Grow Journal

I expect it would work without the Dip'n'Grow

I just took a look at the link you sent and learned more about cloning, 1 question - Even without the Dip'n'Grow does it still need the cloning solution you mentioned? I have to figure out how long it will take to save enough to buy all the stuff he uses anyways since it needs Rockwool and starter squares, etc.. I will probably end up using Canna's directions anyways since it doesn't cost hardly anything (Thanks Sis). So if sending me that solution is a pain, don't worry about it, I appreciate the offer but don't want to be a pain in your butt. But if you decide you want to send it, use either of the addresses I sent you to contact me off site for my info.

The simplest method when you don't have any additional supplies like a cloner bucket, cloning gel/powders, rock wool or root cubes right now is to just put the cutting in a glass of Ph'd water. Use a dark glass, some people even cover the top of it with something so the light doesn't penetrate the water.
Put it in a windowsill or somewhere that has light and just keep an eye on the water level until it roots.
This can take a little longer, but until you can afford quicker methods...it works. I've done it many many times.

You will read lots of different methods of cloning. I'm just giving you a very "grandma's window rooting" method.

BTW, I forgot to ask. What is Ph'd water? I assume it has to do with the PH Balance somehow.

I think it has to do with the number of years it went to school and if it finished a thesis.

Or, it could be water that has been corrected to about a level of 6 I think. 7 is neutral but you want it at the level that allows the nutrients you need to be taken up. There is a good chart around here somewhere that shows this nutrient/ph level relationship. But, as a soil grower I using PeeJay soil I use that gear for brewing and keeping fish.

Bob ;)

Whatever you are watering your plants with will be just fine Smokey. I commonly say PH'd water to be sure people aren't using softened water (too much salt),.... etc. Your plants are growing wonderfully, I think there's no worry on what the PH levels are.

I'm soaking some rockwool overnight for a little cloning experiment. I'll post pictures in the morning :)

Thanks guys, I just wanted to be sure there wasn't something I needed to do with the water.

But here's a trivia question. Without looking it up on the internet, what does PH stand for? This is something I had to learn going thru my Paramedic training and am curious if people know what it stands for. Give it your best shot.

Peritoneal Hernia ?

Proximate Hospital ?

Platypus Hugs ?

new here and subbed! great to see all the help you've received and how well things are going for you! cant wait to see the end results.
and ph stands for something>"_____" hydrogen i think. i have to look it up now!
lol "platypus hug"

I won't spoil the trivia. Nothing annoys me more than an undefined acronym or initialism, so I had to know what it stood for. I got a little lost in the explanation honestly, but that's a separate question. :)

Very close, the original Dutch name was Puiasance Hydro'gen or in English it's the Power of Hydrogen. Just though that people might be interested. And 6.35 is the perfect level between acidic and alkaline. Figured as soon as someone said Hydrogen it was close enough.

BTW, :welcome:. Glad to have you on board. Their are the best of the most knowledgeable growers helping me with my grow, If not for them, I wouldn't have any plants! Now I have 2 fairly large ones in flower, 2 in their medium state and 3 just planted (one is big enough to have been transplanted in a 1 gallon pot (feminized Truthband", 1 is Amnesia (feminized) and the other I just dropped the seed tonight in a solo cup) it's "Delicious Critical Super Silver Haze feminized). In fact here is a pic of the ones in flower taken yesterday in my next post.

Happy page 100...:yahoo:........:circle-of-love:

I just noticed that and was wondering if it was a big deal! You guys have made my journal AWESOME!!!! Thanks to all of you! I have looked at other grow journals (especially new people like me) and noticed they weren't as long. Once again, Thank you all for all the info. I personally believe that is the reason why my plants are growing so well.

I just took a pic of Minnie & Jordan (Minnie is on the left). and tomorrow I will be transplanting Minnie into the bigger pot since she's grown so much since I thought she wasn't going to make it. Here is the pic of them:

BTW, earlier I found Pistils on Jordan but couldn't find them again for the pic, sorry! But either way they are growing like crazy! and I'm trying LST on them to fit good in the case. The upper has the Truthband (Katy), Amnesia (Autumn) and Groot (the name of the newest one that I just planted tonight) which is Delicious Critical Super Silver Haze feminized all of which were donated to me by a wonderful person! As soon as Groot the DCSSH (I know it's a male name, but couldn't resist) sprouts, I will post a pic of all in the top of the bookcase. Thanks again to all! like I said, you got my plants to where they are!

Smokey popping beans and dropping seeds, listing strains like an old pro. You've come so far in these 100 pages bud.

You're already a whole new man and ya haven't even smoked any of 'em yet.
