My First Time Growing

Sorry I didn't read the end of the article but I don't believe the last paragraph... Yes it does lower your BS but there is no way to control the reaction and Smokes wife is so brittle I just would be afraid to attempt it... If you are brittle and are out of control... Life turns bad quickly.. Again... This is all just my opinion but until she can legally have a medical professional help with exact control... I would not try it... Again though Smoke... That doesn't mean she can't use eatables... She can... Just count her carbs and adjust for them... I have a pump so I admit that makes adjustments much easier... I medicate with cco oil for MS and pain from neuropathy.... Noticing the lowering of amounts of insulin was a side effect... And because I have a pump and I'm and RN... I was able to lower my rate of insulin....
What I'm trying to say is if she wants eatables it's fine but I don't advise her trying to use it for her diabetes... Some folks yes... Her... No...:thedoubletake:....:circle-of-love:

Thank you Dennise! This is why I stated no sugar or things that convert to sugars. AND to look into it and be well informed. It's great to hear from someone who is actually experienced with this, as well as thoughts on different types of Diabetes.

Why is it that the thing we seem to love the most....sugar....is so bad for us? Grrrr......

And, yes of course...discuss it with Doctor. :)

:circle-of-love:

Sugar is bad for everyone... But with diabetes it is virtually impossible to cut out all sugar... Processed sugars are in most everything but what you actually have to be aware of is carbohydrates that break down to simple or complex sugars and how your body processes each and how to control spikes in sugars with carb counts and insulin... It's a major pain in the ass but it beats the alternative.... And there is only one alternative... You will die...:thedoubletake:... Happy thoughts....:biglaugh::biglaugh:...:circle-of-love:

One more thing... The reason we all love sugar is it is more "addictive" than heroine...:yikes: Have you ever noticed when you have not been eating sweets for a while you really don't want them but if you eat them for a while you start craving sweets... My downfall is chocolate... If I don't ever eat it I don't think about it much but if I cheat even once I start craving it something awful....:circle-of-love:

I know what you mean. I am a choco-holic..as well as a cheese-a-holic. LOL My other downfall is breads, but I don't have to worry on that like someone with Diabetes does.

Thanks for the personal input on the sugars and controlling them.

Thanks Dennise, I would never even attempt to control her diabetes with weed (But thanks for the thought Canna!) Much safer to stick with insulin. But the whole goal of getting her on weed to help with some some other problems she has (R/A, chronic muscle pain, etc.) just kind of flew out the window the other day, My wife decided she wants to go back to work and will need to be able to pass a drug test. Not sure where this will end up with her, hopefully, happier!!

I don't think Cannabis will control diabetes on it's own, as Dennise stated, a lot more studying needs to be done. Just saying there is evidence in studies that it does help some people suffering from the disease. Type 1 Diabetes is so much more complicated. You still have to consider the individual, like Dennise and your wife.

Is your wife healthy enough to go back to work?? I sure hope it is something easy on her, she is kind of fragile right now.

Will there be someone around in the daytime within immediate reach while she's working in case of an emergency for you?

"Momma Sis" here...concerned for both of you.

As brittle as she is... I have the same concerns as Canna... As you are very aware any difference in activity levels and making sure she's able to eat when she is supposed to and all that goes with it is hard... I got the same itch a few years ago and I gotta tell ya it was a nightmare.... I worked in a little honky tonk just to have something to do.... Every friggin day my sugar would crash... I was always busy when I was supposed to eat... Only job I've ever been fired from... And it was totally out of my control... Tell her I said to take baby steps here and try just a part time job maybe... I just know from experience how much she wants to feel "normal"... But we just aren't... We're special...:;):...:circle-of-love:

Thanks guys, I know how much you you guy's care about us here and quite frankly, I don't think she is physically ready to go back to work. I have been looking for something online I could do to make some $$ but haven't had much luck yet. As far as I know, The only way I can talk her out of going to work is by finding a job online for me. I just hating filling out their "questionnaire" for each place you try, Gets old filling those out only to get to the end and find out it's a scam and then they want to charge me to join their program. I've just got to think of something and sooner or later, I will find something, The problem I want to deal with now, Is getting her to quit thinking about a job and start using the CannoRub on her hands and hip again. I just want her to be comfortable.

What's CannoRub? Is that something you're making yourself?

Sorry Jimmie, Missed your question before, But Cannarub is just a high strength bottle of rubbing alcohol that had an oz. of trim sitting in it. Let it stand for 24 hours and it's done, strain it into a Mason Jar (Or whatever). Whenever you go to use it, you have to shake it up or all the THC will be at the bottom of your container.

OK, The Amnesia clone is harvested and the MM x WK reg will be going into the tent next, I have to remind myself to watch for a male again since these are the first seeds I've used so far that weren't feminized since the first bag seeds. The Truthband clone is almost harvested too I forgot to mention, Between the 2 (My helper and I) of us we knocked out most of the Truthband clone too last night. The WW x MK reg will be going into the tent tonight and hopefully I'll have a 4th plant to go in soon.

Here's a couple pics of the Harvest so far (The Amnesia isn't finished yet). The first is of the Amnesia clone. (The cup fell into the box just before I hit click on the camera, I took it out and took more pic's but the only one to come out was this one. She still has some buds on her, but not a lot. This baby didn't have a lot on it as you can see.

The second pic is of the full Truthband clone harvest.

I just realized that I made a mistake there, I meant the "Unknown" plant is in the tent and the 4th plant to go into tent will be the WW x MK, Sorry about that!

Update on seed in paper towels, When I checked it today it looked like a tiny piece of cotton, or like a piece of really small popcorn that had popped, I even tried planting it but it just fell apart. I'm germing another seed in water but I'm not sure what strain it is, On one side of the seed baggie says

O.S.S pure Kush Fem

And on the other side it reads:

45-55 days
100%Hindu Kush Indica
THC 22%

Either way it sounds like a great plant, I just hope it germinates for me!
