My First Time Growing

I started thinking about the loupe and figured it couldn't hurt to try to get a pic thru it and I got 1 from Harley and 1 from Casey. You can see it even better now!

Here they are, top is Casey, bottom pic is Harley

Even I can tell now it's building up. Thank you guys! I'm just surprised that with how much shows up in the loupe, they still can't be seen with the naked eye. But my eyes are pretty bad too. I definitely need new glasses. Once again, Thank you guys!

Keep in mind that the amount of the trichs on the leaves is not going to be the same for every strain. Some will look like they've been snowed on, and some more subtle.

There are varying factors for this, as you will learn as you go.

So happy you got that loupe so you could see them!

I'll keep that in mind (about how much builds up on different strains) but I can't believe I was able to get good pic's thru the loupe. I'm also very glad that I bought it!

Thanks for the idea Canna (I believe it was you that suggested I get a loupe, But if I'm wrong, Thanks to whoever suggested it!) !

If you read my previous posts, you can see why I like the one I just got already. And I was able to take pictures thru it just by putting the phones camera shutter up against it and using distance from object for focusing.

YES! I'm too happy to see that Smoke. I had no doubt that it would happen. One of my girls revealed hers tonight too, and I didn't see it till I went back and looked at a pic that I took. :high-five:

Hooray smokey you are getting some good bud development and some trichomes too! I can't wait for you to be able to start enjoying the fruit of your labor. This is just such a wonderful thing happening, just think about it. A few months ago you were an empty vessel. Now you are taking trichome pics of your very own produce. Now that is just amazing. I bet they smell just lovely too! Go smokey! Wooo Wooo! We are all cheering for you!

Thanks Shiggity! When I do finally get to reap my rewards, I plan on doing it while online here and sharing the experience with you guys (If your interested)! They do smell nice, although a lot less odor than I thought they would. When my wife sticks her head in the tent, she swears she can't smell anything. But I put my nose right up to the buds and love it! I'm sure each strain is different in it's odor though. But even the ones vegging have no filtration system in the bookcase and don't smell that much. And they are 707 Truthband, Amnesia and Delicious Critical Super Silver Haze. But it's ALL thanks to you guys that got me this far! I had no clue about how to do it until I met all of you!
 
I haven't been here for a while so decided to pop back in and check up and all i can say is wow! You have come so far since you started this little adventure, brother. The girls look great and i could see the trichs in your first magnified pics. (My eyes are still great, thank the gods. lol) This journal and the fruits of your labors up to this point are a true testimony to the caring and sharing of the :420: community. I knew when i found this place that it was great and things like this do nothing but reinforce my initial opinion. Congrats to you for all the hard work you have put in and congrats to all who have helped you, sir. :goodjob:

I'm in! I want to do the same with my first harvest and look forward to being around for yours, Smoke.

I don't smell mine at all anymore. It's kind of unsettling because I have no idea whether my house smells or not.

Ditto on the help. I couldn't be happier that I found :420: and your journal. This is a wild ride, and I'm enjoying every bit of it and I know you are too! :thumb::goodjob:

Thanks Lazarus! It's sort of like you just arose from the dead :) and came back to visit my journal! But seriously, your 100% right about this community of people! They are the nicest, most generous and knowledgeable people I have ever had the good fortune to know!!! They have helped me thru out my entire grow even though sometimes my depression gets the better of me and I'm not a happy dude at those times, But they have just helped me get through it and still gone out of their way to make my grow better. This entire grow is a reflection of the wonderful nature of the people here and I can't wait until I am able to try what I have grown due to all their help! Thanks for the kind words Lazarus, they mean a lot!

When I go out for any length of time, It clears my scent memory and I still can't really smell anything unless I stick my nose in it. But like I've been told, different strength odors for different strains.

We'll definitely have to be online when each of our times come around to be able to try what we've grown!
 
Here are pic's of Harley and Casey outside the tent in normal lighting like I said I'd post. I suspect they may be different strains because the colors of the plants are different. The first Pic is of Harley, followed by Casey

If you look at them, you can tell that Harley (first pic) is a more vibrant green (at least to me) than Casey. But this being my first 2 plants ever grown, I could be way off and they may be the same. Just wanted to get these pic's up like I said I would earlier. The pot on the floor is the one that used to hold Jordan.

That garden is looking great man, I can only be jealous that my first nor second grow looked that good! Lol not too much longer untill those girls will be paying you back for all that hard work ayy? Congratulations it only geat better from here buddy.

I'm looking forward to it so much..... My Doc is ready to wean me off the narcs as soon as I get my Medical card (Gotta look legit at least and buy some amount of concentrates at the dispensary, They even said they would work with me on price because of how I got hurt), But I'm drooling to try my own grow. I know it will be a couple more months until mine is ready to smoke, But I can hardly wait! My others are vegging nicely and all I've got left to figure out is how to do it like a factory line, so that as plants come out of the tent for harvest & curing, They get replaced by new ones and so on. I'm shooting for a perpetual grow and hoping I'm on the right track. Thank you for the compliment on my grow, It's only because I had such good help & advice here from these awesome growers & friends now.

Thanks RTK!, I love my journal, It has let all these wonderful people help me to get as far as I have and I'm just happy you like it and I have recently learned that it has helped other people with their grows that were nervous about signing up with an account on :420: and just watched as a guest. Since this journal is filled with so many questions/answers and great advice, people have logged in as guests just to read them. That is one of my goals in paying it forward since it will be years before I have the money to help others financially, I just hope to at least have my journal up so they can find the plethora of answers to the questions I have asked. I just hope that a time will come when I am able to answer at least some questions people are asking! I just want to be a helper like all the growers on my journal are. I will be paying it forward as soon as I am able too! Thanks RTK for the kind words!
