My First Outdoor/In Ground Grow

I will leave that one to the outdoor growers. I think @Carcass and @KeithLemon both have outdoor grows going right now? Though I’ve caught some sort of bug and my brain isn’t at its normal half capacity…

Sorry to hear about your brain capacity. 🙂

Thanks for tagging Carcass and Keith!

I've got 30 gal pots and more MG in my Amazon cart now, but I'm starting to think this is so big it might be a blunder to try to transplant her now. The root ball probably wouldn't stay together . . . talk about stress for her.

@Trump

Those girls in the ground look nice & healthy & the soil looks rich & the*re in a sunny spot so u should end up with ganja trees , not to sure whats the cage for , if u have critters like rabbits it will do the Job but later the plants will struggle to grow through & training will be a hassle , take care & peace to all🤙

@Trump

With larger pots I find the best way to transplant them is to make your hole and put your plant in the hole with the pot and cut away the pot.

I checked out the dimensions of the 30 gal pot and it is less than 4" taller and 8" wider. I don't think that will make much of a difference, so all things considered I added a second tomato cage and am just going to go for it in this 10 gal pot right where she sits. Wish me luck. 🙂

I just realized this is a blunder. When I planted this I knew I'd have reduced air circulation with the compost box so close, but thought with the pallets I would have enough. I just realized looking at this the plant is going to grow into the box and I'll loose the air circulation from the spaces between the boards.

So I guess I'll have to take down the box to be safe. Maybe after I get my first full year in I won't be running behind the train so much with my grows and I can just play "whack-a-mole" (as @Trump says) with issues that I didn't actually create myself due to inexperience and poor planning. 🤦‍♂️

Don't sweat it. Treat it like any other outdoor shrub. If it starts crowding your compost bin just cut it back. Think of it as doing a major pruning. Like when you shape other bushes to grow the way you want,

Remember....it's called weed for a reason!! 😆

Well that's cool to know this is an option. Maybe I've been babying these plants too much. I know exactly what you are saying about this style of pruning, I actually have good skills when it comes to pruning ornamental trees and shrubs. So that's cool, the compost bin stays. 😎

Thanks again man!! 👍☮️

Have you ever appeared in a movie?

I'd love to see someone grow a plant big enough that they could shape it into a giant Weed leaf!!! How cool would that be to be harvesting giant colas off a plant that is shaped like a pot leaf!! 😄

What a good sense of humor! 😂😂😂

I'll be thinking about this picture and smiling while I'm pruning this plant this summer.

Thanks for both being the voice of reason and keeping things fun and light hearted when I start to get too serious bro man! 👍👍👍

No worries my dude! We sometimes get caught up in all the specs and stuff and forget we do this for fun!! 😎

Shakedown Street lives on!

I'm very happy about this part!! 👍👍

I saw your post in your grow journal the other day when you said come hell or high water you'll be back next year at the Jubilee,that's a pleasant thought.

Also, I keep forgetting to tell you I saved the one joint (the flat one that got kind of smooshed) and brought it home to try it in the morning without any other influences. I think it was either northern lights or LSD but we weren't sure which. I really would like to grow it because it was super potent but didn't cause me to loose 50 points off of my IQ. Lol . . . Seriously it was the perfect buzz for me and I loved it!

Or, maybe it was the famed Maui Waiu. I don't know if that helps with the ID or not because I'm a lightweight really, but it might have been the most potent long lasting buzz I've ever smoked.

That really was a good weekend even though I had to leave early. It took me a week to recover but I'm ready to go back now. Lol 🙂

It was Northern Lights. I had a Maui Waui nug for you on Sunday night but you were gone. I'm just about ready to harvest the Lsd clones. I will tuck a nice bud away and we will enjoy it at the 2025 Jubilee. Here's a current Pic of the Lsd clones.

Cool, I'll get Northern Lights seeds in my next seed order. 👍 That sounds great about the bud at the next jubilee! The LSD bud looks tasty!! It looks to me like you have growing in a tent down to a science man. 👍😎☮️

Thanks.... but No. I still have much to learn. I'm still making rookie mistakes but I still have fun and some good rewards.

No such thing as "knowing enough" when it comes to weed. Just when you think you've mastered it your plants decide to die on you!! 😄
