My First Outdoor/In Ground Grow

I've never grown outside before. Are you saying 2 plants is plenty for a year for the average smoker?

For a final Weds update . . . Here's the remaining two container plants for this summer (6 week old Tennessee Kush).

This has been an expensive lesson learning how to sex plants. The 1.5 cu ft bag of Lush for this one 10 gal pot alone was $40.

I did learn something though through this. While the plant in the Lush started out the quickest of all the plant in 100% MG caught up to it and passed it in size and vigour.

And, the Lush dries out way too fast in the sun and the wind. It's hard for me to keep it "wetish" in the way I like to keep a plant in a container. As opposed to the MG which stays evenly moist much easier outside.

Long story short, in my first year I have learned that for many of the same reasons, just as MG is inferior to Lush for growing inside, IME, Lush is inferior to MG for growing outside.

Last weekend @Ramblinrose1965 told me about Neem oil so I got some to have on hand. I'm wondering if there is anything else I might want to get that would be considered organic for pests?

I decided to try an autoflower in 3 gal. bag outside to see how this goes. This gives me 3 containers and 3 in the ground. We are allowed to have 6 plants.

And then there was one.

My fourth out of five Tennessee Kush plants just showed itself to be male.

I can see pistols coming from an ovate bract on this one (6.5 weeks old) so she is the sole survivor. What an experience this has been. 🤔🙂 Lol

Sorry to hear that! Let’s hope for a 1lb+ grow out of her! Up pot into a 30 gallon pot and let er’ riiippp!!

Thanks for the consolation man. ☮️

You know if you are serious about the 30 gal pot I could be talked into that. Even at this early stage she needs watered everyday in this 10 gal pot and it hasn't even started getting hot here yet. (4' stick for scale.)

I will leave that one to the outdoor growers. I think @Carcass and @KeithLemon both have outdoor grows going right now? Though I’ve caught some sort of bug and my brain isn’t at its normal half capacity…
