I hear you. I was just following along growers using it and seeing them get good results. Figured lets give it a whirl. But you are right....if i run into any problems....at least if I am using something people here are familiar with and something goes wrong I can get back on the right track. Silly me....

Res change was just done. PPM levels were between 750-990 i believe off hand so I dont need to walk upstairs for week 2. I measured around 825. PH level at 5.9 just under 6.0. Using the chart posted above, i'll really be monitoring this week to make sure she is feeding and drinking properly.

Heading into the 2nd week since breaking ground.

New growth coming in nicely. Also heading into week 2. Catching up to her sister.

Seeing very rapid growth in the roots. *NOTE* my nutrients turn the water that color and give the roots that darker look.

Overall....they look happy this morning.

My water temp is in the lower 70's. I am thinking about dropping a frozen water bottle once a day into the res? Do you think this is needed?

By eye, my DWC GG#4 looks a little lighter in color then the soil GG#4. I am not sure if this is something common or if the increased nutrient levels with this change will correct that?

I just ordered the GH trio. Without any major delays in mail with everything going on, I should have that and the Z7 added into next weekends res change.

Just showing off a few of my plants in the garden...

Looks as if the DWC plant might be a little unhappy. She is pointing upwards. The water level and EC dropped a little from last night. Ph still the same. She's about 9 days old now.

Plant in soil about 10-11 days old. Growing super fast. Much larger then the other soil plants her age.

Soil plants looking good you have quite a nice selection of seedsman strains on the go should be fun to watch them flower and see what you get.

Probably wouldn't hurt. Optimally it should be 64-68. I noticed in your pics I can still see the holes of your net pots. I would try to cover those a little better to keep the light out of your bucket.

I noticed it looked a bit lighter too. You are right it should correct itself with the stronger nute mix.
Also...I noticed the plant in DWC has purple leaf stems where the plant in soil doesnt....maybe a different pheno?
Purple leaf stems and light green growth are signs that it could need more Calcium. Don't know if you are using Cal Mag with your current nute mix. I noticed when growing my Dwc plants under led lights they were quite hungry for Cal Mag.

I have clay pebbles on the way. I tried to cover the best I can. If anything, I can grab a few rocks from outside, boil them and fill the spots until the shipment gets here. I added cal-mag into this mix on the res change yesterday. I am keeping a very very close eye on everything. I legit check levels about once an hour or 2 lol. I don't think I added into the very first week and if I did, it was such a low level. I am seeing awesome growth above and below the water. Roots are exploding and up top the leaves are outgrowing the netting pot. I expect the plant to give me minor problems next week as I'll be swapping the nutrients out with the new GH nutrients as long as mail doesn't get majorly delayed. Like I said, the PPM levels went up this week obviously and I did add a 50% rec dose of cal-mag into this feed. That was yesterday.....hopefully in a day or 2 I'll begin to see changes.

Sounds to me you got everything under control. The new nutes you have coming should work out well for you and lots of members on here have used them so plenty of help if you need it.

Thanks. I figured they might throw the plant off a tad but I'll keep the first feed low just in case. Thank you for popping in from time to time too.

I transplanted the GG#4 last night. She was a little too big in her Solo for my liking. Up-potted into a 3 gallon fabric pot. ( final home for her ) I used new soil so no feed until at least next week. Topping coming after the 4th node.

This morning I calibrated my PH pen. I was running a lighter higher then I was actually thinking it was. Got it corrected and back down to 5.9. The first picture shows the plant last night. My math shows before the correction, my pH was around 6.5 so it wasn't too bad. This picture is from this morning. A few hours after correcting the PH.

Ya she looks alot better like that shade of green:thumb:
I think it was legit perfect timing....she was just starting to lose the color right as I was upping the nutes for her to feed. Even though it's been over a week....still feels soooooooo weird doing the DWC grow. I can't wait until I am comfortable with it. I even got all the tiny holes covered in the netting pot too. Amazed at the difference a few hours can make. I also think the PH being a little high could have locked out nitrogen. Even though the PH wasnt to too high.
