My First Grow Journal

@PCaddict are you going to any MICHIGAN weed fest this year
I really want to go but I know nothing about when and where it will be I also need to check ticket prices and see if I can get a couple more people to go so we can ride together and maybe get some rooms for the stay. If you have any info on it Please share it.

Hey anyone I was thinking about maybe getting some auto flowers to run in my 3rd tent when my big girls done. What yield would I get off of 1
I grew one auto last year but it was a Spog. It was so small we maybe got an eighth at the most a quarter ounce out of her. She stayed really small and had three little bud sites that really wasn't worth the time but I have seen others on here do really well with them. @InTheShed has grown some impressive autos, so maybe sub up to some journals that people have had success with autos

Not me! My autos are hit or miss. The folks with great indoor autos are MrSauga and farside05.
I would sub up to their journals. I thought I seen some impressive autos you have grown Shed maybe I was thinking of another journal. I would sub up to their journals MrSauga and farside05 If I were to try autos again

@MrSauga are autos worth my time to grow and how much you get out of them
Sure they are! If it's your first time trying gardening at home I would wait until you have 2-3 grows under your belt. The main reason is autos will flower when they are ready. If you are still learning the ropes and happen to run into problems you have no time to correct the issues. With photos if you run into issues you just prolong the veg cycle until the plants are healthy and then do the flip.

Autos don't deal with stressful conditions well. They need to grow fast from the start which means introducing nutes early and getting them into their final home as soon as possible amongst other things.

You surrounded by a stellar bunch of growers so if you do decide to take it on there's always help for you!

@Fastass419

That looks like interesting guano, had a look online. How did you feed it to your girls?
Hopefully you made a nice tea with it and watered with it, great source of nutrients for flower!
For mine, I have to boil water and add the guano and let it cool to RT before using. Will be doing that on the weekend.
Do not give to your babies though as it will burn them.

If you have some earth worm castings, you can also add that to your guano tea brew.
Or add directly to top of soil and work in a bit and then water. Full of nutrients.

If you think you are idle now, wait till flower... 8 weeks of watching. LOL!

Congrats on putting up your dividers as well! How many areas/rooms are you ultimately looking at?

@lazylathe I've got 3 4×4 and 1 drying room I believe right now that is all I can handle. Yes i made a guano tea. I might try that boiling to help mix. That was for my girl that's in flower about 5 weeks now. WC are they for veg or flower? But if i have 3 room going at different stages then i can be harvesting hopefully every 2 months

Man I would Love to have the room to make 4 rooms 4x4 you should have it going good in a couple months and them turn them out like clock work. Congrats on your rooms now I am all jelly

@PCaddict I would love a couple more lights and I need to figure a gravitated feed watering system to make my life easier and cleaning takes forever
If you are looking for lights @Budget LED can work with you to make sure you get the Best light possible for your space and for quality and price I don't think they can be beat not to mention the Costumer Support you get before but most importantly After you buy the light. We have discussed lights a good bit on my journal if you would like to you can check it out.

Autoflowers can be a lot of fun but as others have said they are really unpredictable. I'm a beginner compared to those guys and my tent is tiny but I've had autos yield from about 22 grams to 110 grams. I'm just now learning photoperiods but from what I can tell once they begin to flower there is very little difference. After they begin to flower pot size, room size, crowding, nutrition, heat, humidity and lighting are the yield determiners in my opinion.

Now that I know how photos work I will probably stick with them. Training is way more fun and you can decide in advance how big to let them get in veg. I will still grow autos to fill in gaps as its hard to produce enough bud in a 27"x27" tent for my wife and I.

I have heard that that the same strain, say Amnesia Haze, will have a higher THC percentage in the photoperiod version as compared with the autoflower as the Amnesia genetics are diluted with Ruderalis causing around 4% difference. I have not been able to test this out as my first photos haven't matured yet. :peace:  :hookah:
