My First Grow Journal

@Stltoed @buzz62 @PCaddict and anyone else....LOL!

I was not arguing with anyone or wanting to start a lighting debate in @Fastass419 grow thread.
I stated what I did and what I do, if you do not agree, say so and leave it alone.
A few others have chimed in saying they grow a similar way, yet you chose to attack me for some reason.
This is a picture from an HLG grow posted on IG, all their rooms are set up this way.
My light is 3 foot from the canopy and everyone is happy at 480 Watts and I am very happy so far.
I have been growing for 20 years on and off but this is my 1st full organic grow with LED's. Last grow was auto's and they battled with the QB. What can I say, I looked at the plants, raised the hell out of the light and they bounced back.

I have a grow going with a link in my sig if you would like to add any info on there, it would be great!

I agree you need to feed your babies. Have you researched the nutrients the company is sending you to see what they contain?
For now you could always make an EWC tea for them to give the soil a microbial boost that is organic.

Cannot wait to see your babies in 3 weeks time!
I love watching them grow and training them during veg, they almost grow in front of your eyes!
Now in flower it gets really boring...Not much to do except water and the odd top dress or drench here and there.
I stopped foliar feeding in the 3rd week of flower so I have even less interaction with them now.
It's hard not to want to fiddle and meddle... Will go to the hydro store and get some more soil additives for flower.

Lots of great help here and you will be back on track in no time!

I ended up getting a hold of one of there cannabis experts. He agreed with both of you. I needed nutrients. He is sending me their liquid squid and stonington plant food.
I will try this and see how they do. Plant food is a 5.2.4 liquid squid is 2.30.

I need to order some of the liquid squid. Heard it's pretty good. Stonnington plant food to really good too, I just use that for Veg and switch over to to COM fishbone meal for flower.
I think you mentioned using Roots organic above. I mix Roots and Coast of Maine together with some EWC and love it. Just water.

All I asked is if we could go back to actually discussing @Fastass419 grow and any problems he may have.
His lights seem fine, so why not take our discussion to another thread where all light experts can weigh in? Seems fair.

Why not stay and help a fellow grower out in his thread?

First of all, welcome to 420Magazine. I'd like to let you know that everyone here tries to be nice. We help each other and to stay on good terms. I'm not going to "take our discussion" anywhere. Let it go. We dont troll or or pick fights here. Personally, I was only asking questions, I was talking to a lot of people, only you got "attacked" for some reason. If you can't keep your cool maybe this isnt the place for you, but that's up to you to decide, not me. This is only constructive criticism dont take it too hard. Please feel free to ask the people around you about how we act towards each other. There are plenty of places to start shit, this isnt one of them

Honestly I could give a fuck about your lights and how you're doing it. If it's working for you then you must be proud. I know some people have their lights higher, it's all over the place. I was merely asking WHY. Thankfully others helped me with that.

To our friends. Sorry if I offended any of you, especially you Fastass. I wish you all well.

I am also sorry if I offended anyone, this was not meant to happen...
Firstly you did not ask why and did not appear to see the pictures I posted from other growers doing the same thing a few times over.
I understand the science behind lighting but as I stated before, this is what works for me at present.
No other member that said they hung their lights high was questioned either, possibly because I am new. What you were provided with was manufacturer recommendations and I am looking at real life grows, who knows?
I like to help out if possible and share what I am doing, much like what you do.
We all have opinions and need to keep this forum a happy one where we all get along.

This is also a posting forum that can be read in any tone you wish to take on at the time.
I was merely stating what I was doing and showing what some others were doing with this relatively new technology without following what everyone else was doing.

This is my second grow with these lights and it is vastly superior to my last grow where I had the lights hung according to the manufacturer's recommendations. When researching online I found that a lot were opting to move their lights up higher and were having good results.

I actually found a lot of info on this very forum as well as an excellent SWICK article that has changed my growing style by leaps and bounds.

Very thankful for this forum and still happy to be here and share!

@Stltoed I am also browsing your grow journals to see what I can learn.

Also love new growers like @Fastass419 that is sharing his whole experience with us!

Good attitude Lazy. Now for some war stories. Last night I tried my first rosin hit. I had taken 3 Canna oil caps before hand and after taking that rosin hit I didn't think I was high enough so I smoke a bowl of some Cob man I got twisted. Made for a good night. Keep up the Good Growing Ya all

Last time I had cob was way back when I lived in South Africa and it was Malawi Gold, straight from Malawi.
Best high i have ever had!!

Now to try and grow such potent herb...

Also wanted to add that there is a super interesting thread on another forum on making Cobs. I C something...LOL!
 
Put my divider wall up now I got 3 4×4's now. The clones are looking good. Hope my nutrition comes soon I'm going to have to water them soon besides that they are lookin good. Had to water big girl today gave her a gallon of water with 20ml of buried treasure seabird guano. Hope that gives her a boosted
