in hydro put the dunk in a nylon so the bits don't foul your system

thanks Buck and Vick,I sprayed the underside of the leaves the stalks and the hydroton with safer end all a couple days ago and tonight im not seeing any gnats so hopefully between that and the sns 209 im good.but if that doesnt work I ll look into the dunks:)

Ive been at my inlaws for the last 2 days,its really cool when you get to miss a day in the room:)looks like around 4 inches of growth since I left!everything is dialed right in theres no more problems with ph and looks like the safer end all is keeping the fungus gnats at bay until I get the sns 209 in the mail.Its been 16 days since I flipped the lights,I know theres still 5 days of stretch left give or take but ive decided to start defoliation now because I dont want them to get much taller.Im hoping the heavy defoliation will slow them right down for a few days.

it took me 2 hours to defoliate and clean up all the little stuff at screen level on this hgk its the only plant Ive done so far.I figure it will take me 3-4 days to do the whole room.

Looks like you judged the filling of the screen well mate! You should be happy! Now correct me if i am wrong but this round you are just using the screen to support the tops rather than doing a traditional scrog tuck job, correct?

I use the screen to spread the plant out but I never flip until the tops are at least 2 inches above the screen. I learned my tecnique from Justin Biggs(not sure if thats how you spell it) the guy from budbook.org.the pk wont fall over the branches are really stiff but the hgk might near the end,this si another reason why im keeping the pk it suits my growing style alot better.I guess I like this way better because the plants get alot bigger and yield alot more:)
