and no im not a representative of fero or anything like that,I just did my homework before I bought these lights.when I was researching led's everything kept pointing to these lights.so hopefully I dont get in shit for this,we are all here trying to find the best gear to grow our beloved ladies and i feel people should know all the options out there.

ps: this company really stands behind they're product and warranties.if anything at all goes wrong just take a pic and sent it to them and a replacement part will be in the mail the next day. show me a hid company that does that:)

To to my journal the leaves on my bud started to get crystals in its 2nd week. I'm using HPS. It may have something to do with its genetics who knows. Ill upload a picture here. My camera sucks but you can see the trichomes popping off already. I had to sharpen the image a little

Thanks, I have to get a microscope so we can see some better images. My journal isn't nothing like yours I'm way behind. I just jumped right in with no research but I've learned so much a little time frame so my 2nd grow will look like yours and alot of great info. So no need to look at my little plants right now lol.

Just thought I'd chime out. I'm not one to do alot of that but I hear ya got a LED grow agoing. Looks like you got it going on. I will have to catch up alittle on your thread, iffin you don't mind. I've been curious about the progress of leds for awhile. I know they have come along ways since the 2 colors or even tri colors. I've always thought they make sense, hell if Nasa seen potienial. But if ya don't mind I'll grab a chair soon, and catch up alittle. Loved the scrog setup on your first page. And really love them white stool's,,,,,,them the back savers.

:welcome: Norcaliwood,Im glad you like my set-up I think theres some room left in here somewhere:) looks like theres alot of people here on the fence about led's. Im hoping grows like Buckshots,Tony Susan's and mine open some eyes to all the benefits to using led's.this is only my second grow with led's, Im definetly still learning all the differences there are to growing good meds with them.my first round was a rough go but I saw the potential and so I stuck with them and I think this round is going to pay off.stick around things are just starting to get interesting:)

I think im going to have to build a temporary secondary screen of sorts to support the hgk. when I opened the flower room door last night the plants were around 12 inches from the lights and I could see some of the hairs starting to curl so I raised them as high as they could go about another 4 inches.looks like they are starting to slow down on the stretch now.im picturing something like lashing some of those bamboo sticks vertically to the sides of the screen frame and running a second level of strings through the branches about halfway up for support.otherwise the hgk will be falling all over the place once they start putting on weight.I think the pk would of been fine its alot thicker and stiffer than the hgk so this rig will only be temporary for this round.I have 5 plants defoliated so far I ll try to get some pics up tonight:)

I was thinking of defoliating but I dont want the plant to slow on bud production since there doing fine with out me doing so. What you think is it necessary to do so? There in the 3rd week of flowering!

personally im all for defoliation bro I wait until the stretch is done and them remove most of the large fan leaves to get light down to the lower nodes.your girls are 3 weeks into flower so now would be a good time.you dont have to remove as much as I do thats totally up to you, you can just remove the inner leaves and leave the outer ones that arent covering any bud sites:)

just finished defoling my yesterday, first time ive ever gone that hardcore on giving her a hair cut. everything looking great jon. things really take alot longer to get going outdoors it seems.. im going to invest in leds one day dont care weather they produce slightly less bud overall or whatever the down sides are, they look fucking awesome and they still grow great weed. where is the downside? lol. keep it clean buddy everything is looking awesome
