Are your temps abnormally high, or your RH abnormally low (at plant level especially)? Personally, I would think your reservoir is big enough, though this behavior is proving that a larger reservoir might be easier to manage at times, and size of your plants might play into that as well.

Also, your nutrient mix might be too hot - especially if they are drinking so much more water than they are consuming nutrients. Have you been monitoring PPM's? If so, what are they doing - are they higher also when PH goes down? (I'll be surprised if not). I'd seriously consider how hot your nutrient mix is, as this may be part of the problem too.

Finally, some things like root problems/pithium can cause PH drops, but they seem so healthy that I doubt this is in play.

When it comes to PH in a nutrient reservoir, typically:
EC/PPM's up, PH down = use less nutes
EC/PPM's down, PH up = use more nutes
EC/PPM's stable, PH up = ideal

Not sure if it's possible with your set-up, but would it be possible to put a "float valve" on your reservoir connected to a water source somehow? I don't use it this way, but if I needed to, I could connect my water to my reservoir directly (via my RO system), and it would only replenish when water depleted (so it never overfills, nor would the level ever decrease). Obviously, this dosen't address the "cause", but you would be less likely to be burned by it.

That's what comes to mind for me... hope you get it figured out! Your plants seem really healthy though, so I wouldn't panic (not that you are...) :goodluck:

i would have said along the same lines in alot less detail but temperature for sure i knew fucked my res ph when i was growing hydro. deff not the one to help on this subject.

your and older version of me jon! ill be like you when i have children one day, fuck the world and how impossible they make it these days to make a honest decent living enough to support a family while the prices of everything else in the world increase and the wages stay the same. PRICKS! on a happier note, i can deff see why your going to keep running PK she has lovely leaf structure and nice development very indica. the hgk looks more influenced by sativa than indica which i thought was meant to be the oppieste but also apparently gives a sativa high so they are all over the shop with that one. and the afganni is deff a sativa dom LOL i hadd a good laugh at that one haha great pics jon!!

anything that smells that good is sure to be nice smoke. my strawberry diesel was the strongest smell ive had before. when i was havesting my mate called me from out from and said he could smell it lol.. i was inside!!! with the fans on. yeah afghan is indica never heard of it been anything else. ive been doing more research on haze's atm i am really starting to fall in love with the haze plant.

there are members on the forum who are warriors for the cause but are blind to the fact that i think growers are entitled to make something for their time put in and risks we take. I did 9 years for growing weed and too be honest back then it was absolute greed, i had big ambitions but in the end when u make alot of money (ALOT) then people turn against u through jealousy and thats when the shit hits the fan. These days im not consumed by being a millionaire or being the top guy, jail taught me some tough lessons but it also opened my eyes to many many things. There are mass industry giants who fuck this world up good and proper while getting very rich in the process but governments love those guys cos its about the dollar. growers on the other hand are slated as ruthless criminals for making a small living off selling some of their home grown herb. now there are some dangerous mother fuckers out there who are full of greed and would sell there mothers for a dollar, and its those guys i cant stand. why shouldnt decent ordinary men and women get something for the hard work theyve put in growing a premium product. most guys where im from just want to get high so they can pay a price for that and i dont feel guilty about it in anyway shape or form. however if i knew someone was genuinely sick id give them the weed for free as i make enough from the guys who just want to chill and get high. there are no dispensaries where i live, where i live u go to jail for growing weed so for the risk there has to be some reward. the point im trying to make is i see alot of guys putting others down because they sell there weed, but i say u pay for quality no matter what it is. just dont be greedy and help those in real need. its great that u are using money to put ur kids through college. in times gone by all i cared about was fast cars and holidays, but my attitude has changed.

well boys and girl(Hi Fluffy:ciao:),looks like im the proud owner of 3 female chernobyl and they are 3 different phenos,im pretty sure I know what one im keeping but I took a couple clones from each just incase im wrong:) so it looks like X was right yet again(tks bro reps coming your way)
he suggested that maybe temps were a little too high and this could be causing the ladies too transpire too much causing them to drink alot of water causing the nutes to concentrate causing the ph to drop to fast (whew! say that 3 times fast)and it looks like you were right again bro!I dropped the temps from 85 degrees to 81 degrees(yep only 4 degrees) and I dropped the ppm's to 1230 from 1450 and this morning the ph was sitting pretty at 5.8. what more could a grower ask for than a community of awesome growers to help out in times of need.joining :420: was the best decision ive made since I started back up,my girls would'nt be looking as good as they do without everybodies help here so :thankyou: to everyone that has taken the time to check out my journal and point me in the right direction when im lost. I think this will be my best grow to date with the new system:)

Just make sure you girls keep drinking enough. Dont forget that the higher temps are the lifeblood of an LED grow. If they dont drink enough they wont draw nutrient and get big and strong. Sounds like a good outcome though! :peace:

Yep im all over it bro,I only dropped it by 4 degrees I think X was right they were drinking to much.theres no way 10 plants should be drinking 5 gallons a day thats a half gallon each!Im going to keep a close eye on it and find the happy medium were the water and the nutes get taken up at the same rate, this should fix the ph dropping so fast.its suposed to rise slowly right not drop.its just gonna take some tinkering to figure it out but I will:)
