Things are looking great man, hope you get your ppms in that sweet spot. I have to agree that I think your well water and nutes are the cause but ive never grown hydro so take that with a grain of salt.

I forgot these pics in the update.Ive cloned pretty much every way there is from cloners to rockwool and with out a doubt for me anyways nothing beats good old jiffy pellets, with a 3 dollar bottle of liquid stimroot from walmart a heating pad and a humidity dome.I took these cuttings the night of the 9th, so 6 days ago.
liquid stim root.3 bucks at walmart beats the hell out of clonex for 50 bucks

just about all of then are already rooted and not a spec of yellow on any of them:)

My understanding is you only need to do this with water that's been chlorinated as it allows the chlorine to evaporate, so unless chlorine's been added to your well you should be ok (although I'm not sure it makes a huge amount of difference anyway to be honest - I can never be bothered to let my tap water stand - they dont put that much chlorine in it, and it evaporates within 24hrs anyway apparently!)

Plant don't mind chlorine. Some of the more delicate microrganisms may.

ok...today is day 1 of flower so 9 weeks to go:)I think I found the sweet spot.this morning was 36 hours without adjusting the res.it seems that 850 ppm is where its at.this works out to 50% base nutes,5 mil per gallon cal/mag, bud candy full strength,5 mil per gallon sensizym and 5 mil per gallon kushie kush and then I still had to add 5 gallons of clean water to get 850 ppm and the ph is set at 5.9 right now.fingers crossed but I think I got it:slide: :slide: :slide:

I would stick with 50% base nutes, I would imagine this is the Girls main diet at the moment and if they are not getting enough your TDS will fall fairly rapidly.

yep im super happy bro:blunt:,I know from experience that adjusting the res daily will eventually have a bad effect on the ladies.its weird how much less the girls eat with led's at this point in the grow my ppm's would be at 1500 with hps with no nute burn.not that im complaining lol...im gonna save alot on nutes now:)

Glad, you figured this out Jon !! This was also a valuable info for me (and everyone else), of course !!!
I always had this questions on my mind:

How the hell can you reach the exact ammount of ppms , using base nutes + additives ?
How can you add the recommended doses of everything and come at the same ppms, with or without the extras ?
I assume as you did, diluting with some clean water at the end ...

yep,I cut the base nutes in half and about 35% less of everything else but the bud candy(I havent check but I dont think it affects ppm's much) and this put the ppm's at around 980 so I just added 5 gallons of fresh water a bit at a time till it was right.I guess I could figure it out exactly but if they arent showing any defficiencies after a week im just gonna keep doing it this way.this just cut my nutes bill almost in half, just one more benefit to led's I guess:)
