I really dont like the way 420 has the pic uploading set up.the pics are so small its hard to tell which is which.it should be full screen when the pics come up.

Re: My First Grow Journal-Holy Grail Kush- Purple Kush 6x12 Scrog 4 x 600W LEDs On Mo

mostly with lst training.I start training them as soon as the clones start showing new growth.the first bend is pretty much level with the first set of nodes at a 90 degree angle.then as the new growth grows upwards I bend it back down and kinda follow the shape of the netpot or soil pot in a circle.this gives all of the secondary branching equal light and they all become main tops.I then start spreading all of them out keeping them low so that all the secondary growth on these branches are at the same level.before you know it you have 10 to 15 main tops.at this point I start topping them and continue spreading out the new growth until I have the desired amount of tops.you can keep doing this style of training for as long as you want and end up with hundreds of tops on 1 plant, it would just take awhile:) my theory with this training is I will end up with a much better yield than if I just topped the plants a few times and let them grow into the screen.I find wih my old method alot of the nugs are from secondary sights so are smaller.the way im training them now there will be very little weaving into the screen instead all the main tops will just grow through the screen and use it for support once the nugs get heavy.Im bassically trying to have one main cola per square in the screen.this is the first time ive trained them this way so hopefully im right.:)

Glad if it helped Jon out. :)

This is a very nice "lesson" that is allready copied & paisted, for further "analysys" ...lol
Thank you jon , seems more than a great , plan !!!

Ps: How long are you planning to veg with this method Jon ? 3-4 weeks , as usual ?

Re: My First Grow Journal-Holy Grail Kush- Purple Kush 6x12 Scrog 4 x 600W LEDs On Mo

Hey Billy:)they have been vegging for at least 2 months now.I figure they have at least 2 to 3 weeks to go.I just started training this way so I screwed up the timing by a couple weeks.from now on I will take clones as soon as I flip the lights to 12/12.this will give me 10 weeks veg before I put them in the flower room and should cut my veg time down in there to a week or 2.Im trying to get this as close to perpetual as I can.

Re: My First Grow Journal-Holy Grail Kush- Purple Kush 6x12 Scrog 4 x 600W LEDs On Mo

hey everyone:) I finally got them all tied down an I removed some leaves.i had to do some supercropping here and there to beat them into submission.now I ll let them recover for a few days and top them all one more time.theres some good pics that show my training style.

Re: My First Grow Journal-Holy Grail Kush- Purple Kush 6x12 Scrog 4 x 600W LEDs On Mo

Great job Jon !!
Your plan looks very nice to me ! I was wondering when to get clones, when to get ready for flower etc...
My thought is if you veg in a diffrent system , how can you LST 'em and then transfer them to diffrent pots for flower ?
I m still able to lst 'em of course in the first week of flower .... (in the final pots)

LST seems difficult to me if you use a diffrent veg system !

Your plants look absolutely great my friend ! You are going to have a ton of tops, soon !!
Sea of buds ....:goodjob::thumb:

thanks bro:) I use a different veg system as well.worst case is you would have to remove your ties when you transfer them to your flower room and then tie them down again.im constantly relocating the paperclips as the tops grow up anyways they dont stay in the same place for long.

Re: My First Grow Journal-Holy Grail Kush- Purple Kush 6x12 Scrog 4 x 600W LEDs On Mo

Yep if you lst them in veg odds are by the time you move to flower room the branch will have set in that position and you will need to change the tie down point anyway. Training a plant is a constantly changing thing as you are having to adjust each time the plant does!

Brilliant, thanks Jon - this is just the sort of thing I want to be doing, the one cola per square, and as I'm completely new to training it's really helpful seeing your descriptions and how you do it. I'm learning tons from all this - cheers!
