My First Grow: Grape Ape, Agent Orange x Huckleberry & Purple Skunk Mass

Update time!

Welp, I done went and sold a couple of my guitars and got me some grow stuff. Upgraded to a 8x4 grow tent with an outtake fan and carbon filter, along with 3x full spectrum LED grow lights. Thanks for the heads up on the lights carcass!!! No pics right now - too tired from setting this thing up. But I did manage to take a quick video. Also have a 2x4 tent I still need to put together for veg, so I can always have 6 girls in veg, and 6 girls in flower (the legal limit for Massachusetts).

Sweet setup,Chef-man,it looks like you've got all the room you'll ever need in there!
Your plants are looking fantastic-You spent your money well-you should be all
set from now on,and it's nice that you can let them get as big as they want to-
I think you'll be very happy with those lights-even more so when the flowering starts!
Get some rest-you deserve it after putting all that together:welldone:

Thanks! I circled the important part - wish I had had a helper! At one point I almost thought I was gonna bend the framework. But it's a sturdy little bugger!

I'm guessing there would have been a bit less cussing with a helper-but hey-you got it done and it looks great!

So I clipped most of the fan leaves on the GA#2 clone, and the spiral training is going well so far. The new growth limbs you see here were only about 1/2 the current height when I went to bed last night! I'm pretty sure the homemade CO2 generator is responsible for this.

So your homemade CO2 generator has me really interested, do you mix it like you first mentioned with the tomato paste? The second Tim you said it you never mentioned the paste and it looked white. Sorry just really interested in trying it, I think my girls are lacking

Damn Chef you’re stepping up the game!! :headbanger::bravo::ganjamon: You’re gonna pull some big numbers outa that tent lemme tell you that! :passitleft:

I didn't see any real benefit to the tomato, and it really stunk. But that's what the instructions said to do. Having done some bread making in the past, I knew that all I really needed to make CO2 was the yeast (almost any kind will do), sugar to feed it, and water to activate the yeast.

Couldn't sleep for shit last night. so I left work early. I drive an Uber, and lack of sleep causes safety concerns... At any rate, I managed to put the 2x4 veg tent together today, and got some individual pics of the girls for you guys. Color correction was becoming a bitch for some reason with these new lights, so I said screw it and just went back to the originals. Well, except for cropping the pics.

Dirty leaves from the clones being grown outside on a busy street in the city... I'll be putting the OG Kush autos out there, so I guess I'll have to actually wash the bud in an H2O/H2O2 solution when they're ready.

Looking great in there Chef! Those girls are healthy!
12/12 started at noon today. Are they ready yet??? :laughtwo::laughtwo::laughtwo:
They're ready - but you've got loads of free space in there so i'd give these girls another 2-3 weeks in veg to get some size to them and you'll seriously increase yield! :ganjamon:
Good luck with the sleep brother! :passitleft:I too work long hours and really struggle if i don't get a good nights rest.

I'd love to - but I just started 3x OG Kush autos (but most likely will be going outside), 3x Cheese, and 3x Northern Lights (both are photos). I'll most likely be needing the space because the CH and NL will be going into 5 gallon fabric pots and I don't want to risk them getting too big for the 2x4 space in the veg tent before the others are ready to chop. It's my first grow, so I guess my timing is off. One of the things I need to learn. But the CH and NL will (hopefully) completely fill up the flower tent.

Actually, the 3 autos will most likely finish in the 12/12 tent. Too much city filth in the air where I'm at to put them outside.

So, after a very looong day of Ubering, I came home to some very sad, very hungry, and very thirsty plants. Gave 'em each 7.5ml/gal Big Bloom, 5ml/gal each of Grow Big and Tiger Bloom, and 5ml/gallon of Sensi CalMag Xtra. They took 2 quarts each.

Happy girls!

So I got home from work today and checked on my girls. They were flipped to 12/12 four days ago.

When I checked the Grape Ape clone, it had balls! The mother IS female, as far as I can tell.

Now, the clone had spent some time outdoors - is it possible that these are actual seeds from being accidentally pollinated outdoors? My other two clones (Purple Skunk Mass and Agent Orange X Huckleberry) look just fine.

Shit. All of the Grape Apes are male, as well as the Agent Orange x Huckleberry. But at least the Purple Skunk Mass (and her clone) are confirmed females. The seeds were ALL labeled as feminized. This sucks. I feel like I've wasted 2.5 months of grow time.

Note to self: ONLY purchase seeds from the sponsors here at 420MAG in the future.

Sorry to hear of the excess testosterone in your tent. Perhaps you can harvest some pollen for future use.
I was considering it, but considering i was lied to about them being fem seeds, I also can't be sure that the strain is (was) correct either. I really don't want to pollinate female plants with an unknown strain.
