That's the reason these plants were bred into the lowrider and the many strains to follow. That SOG benefit, fit as many in one area as possible, keep an even canopy, run a GREAT light at 20/4 or 18/6, or, whatever if you want to get down to it, even 24hr if you want to, for ENTIRE! cycle,and you should harvest either a little earlier or about the same time as you throw the other vegging non ruderalis plants into flower, 12/12 , run a 24-72 hr dark before harvesting the autos, if your non auto's are cool with that of course, and throw your next round of auto seeds into your germination method of choice during the dark ages period, by lights on, you have your next round of auto's ready for soil, which should finish about the same time as harvest of non autos, depending on your flowering time for those plants of course, but a little math and you match different strains for the schedule to work, and you have a double perpetual grow, all in the same grow space. Southern Hospitality method my friends, pile EVERYONE in the house if need be, and feed em and give em somethin to drink, everyone's happy, lol....whoa, sorry about the hijacking, appalachian gold hit me hard, stay green, God bless, and PEEEEEEAAAAACCCCEEEEE!!!!!

Yep, looks like a SOG plant for sure 'cept she hasn't had any trimming or training whatsoever. She is a natural "Donkey D*ck"!

Day 52, afternoon. Days have been clear (even the mornings) and warm. Will start checking the trichs under magnification soon to see how things are progressing. The sun's UV bombardment should be converting the cannabinoids to THC at this point; those capitated stalks should be getting cloudy about now.

The effort to reward ratio is off the chart with this grow. A couple of minutes per day with her and she takes care of the rest.

:I've been kicking around the idea of popping an AF to get something going while I recoup from the basement sewer flooding episode...I think I've got some off strain called "Cate Harrington" from Porno Seeds (I just cannot take a seed company with that kind of name seriously, HerbalAnnie made me buy them for HER!)...

Well consider your own needs; a few autos should satisfy most people's supply needs. Not everyone has the time or space to setup an indoor grow. If the plant stays below a foot and doesn't smell too much, they make great candidates for the average smoker who can put in a few minutes a day with them and have a view of the sun.
Thanks about the POTM. I may put her in if she gets sparkly enough and can get a great picture of her.
Go for it, I say. It has been refreshing having some of the grow parameters running on "auto"!
I wish I had a couple hundred of those seed. She's so short, compact and all bud plus quik growth time.

If only that would not cost 10 - 15000 dollars, it would totally be worth it. Could probably get a bulk discount out there somewhere.

Day 56, afternoon. The pistil hairs are becoming difficult to see as they are swallowed by the burgeoning buds. Was cloudy this morning, so I put her under the LEDs for a few hours.
Not all AF strains are feminized only. And if memory serves, WheeloFortune used to treat some of his AFs with STS solution in order to produce feminized seed when he was growing them in his 80-site Volksgarden wheel.

Agreed. There is regular autoflowering seed out there and a treatment to any female with STS should produce some seed. Nice to have it straight from the breeder if possible but a several thousand dollar outlay for seed does tend to urge one to find creative solutions.
