Day 48, afternoon. She is still plumping out with smells becoming stronger each day.

The fan leaves are not so green anymore. The leaf below is the worst off with blotchy light green areas showing. Not sure if it is nutrient lockout, nutrient transport to the central bud region, or maybe just age of the plant. She is expected to finish in about 16 days.

Autoflowericious!! Now just imagine a 8 x 10 grow room with the floor covered with auto's! Would be a sea of buds. Looking excellant brother, getting real close now!

If they all came out to a similar height then they would be perfect.

She is in the latter stages of life for sure and a chop date looms close.

Day 58, evening. I had the plant in the tent under the LED for most of the day today. Some of the leaf edges have purpled. Not entirely sure why but the age of the plant appears to not adjust to the different light so easily now.

Oh, I took a sugar leaf cutting then put it under the pocket microscope. On some of the stalks of the capitated trichomes, there was what appeared to be blood inside! Some dark red swirled in part of the stalk. Leaf otherwise appeared to be green but it could be a response to the hours of LED light it could have received today. Not all of the stalks looked this way; only some on the top side of the leaf.

This leaf looks like something ate part of it.

She's still gonna swell like crazy and the leafs are normal. In a week she will look almost dead. But just keep her in there till shes nice and sexy.

Right on, that was the plan, observe but rarely intervene. Been a fun, no fuss grow so far.

Day 60, afternoon. Been foggy/cloudy most of the mornings and evenings lately, so she spent yesterday evening plus today in the tent under LED. She is getting afternoon sun now.

She's looking great Munki! I've seen insects pasted onto my girls from time to time, I always chuckle and mumble something to the effect of "that'll teach you", brings a whole new meaning to look, but don't touch!

Yep, Dynafem. Had the seed for over a year since I purchased from The Attitude Seed bank, so they seem to get fresh stock. It was a free seed too!

I was apprehensive about entering the contests since I'm a new grower, and I learned much about what I know from many of the other contestants. But, there's been a push to have more people participate, and I figured if nothing else, maybe other new growers might find my entrys motivational.

I think this is my 5th grow; don't consider myself an expert, though I'll share my thoughts on the topic.

Results speak for themselves.

Day 62, early afternoon. Finally got some sun peeking out, so she is back outside but was in the tent since the last report. Found the cause of the leaf damage; a small worm about 1cm long was sucking the center part of another leaf. He is crushed now and I did not see any others.

The fan leaves are starting to yellow. Should I remove all the big ones now so light can better reach the bud stalk? Will be harvesting within 10 days. Also, I gave RO water last time. Should I just continue to do so, flushing it for another week? That would be probably 3 more waterings.

Thinking of finishing her in a dark tent for a couple of days with dry soil, then chop and hang.

I would at least trim the yellow portions of the leaves.

If you feel that your soil still has some nutrients left in it, water would be fine. Otherwise, perhaps a light (¼-strength) feed now might not be a bad idea.

I would question the two-day dark period at the end. It would seem that time and light turns trichomes amber more than time and dark - although the jury is definitely still out and there are plenty of proponents in both camps. But as long as it is able to use the light-energy to add both more trichomes (and mature the ones that it already has) and weight...

The jury also still seems to be out (somewhat) on how dry to allow the soil to get at the end. It would seem that doing so would tend to allow for less water-weight at harvest time, but as to whether it affects the flavor of the bud in any way, IDK.

Speaking of harvest time, are you going to cut and hang the buds, the plant as a whole, or even try to pull it roots and all? The more you include, the longer the dry and (I would think) the greater chance that more of the chlorophyll/etc. will break down to enhance flavor. Kind of a combination dry and preliminary cure.

Guess you might be growing another AF or two next year? If so, maybe you'll keep track of everything you do / have done this time and change a thing or two next time in order to see what difference (if any) it makes.

I'll be interested in learning how rootbound she is at the end.

Nice grow. There's no way I'd attempt to grow out side around here. It would get ripped off befor I knew it.
