I couldn't agree with your whole post more MrRobert!!! To think of all the cash I spent on my closets makes me wanna cry sometimes, and thinking about what I would have bought knowing what I do now. Its like you said though, It got me introduced to growing, and learning about the plant.

whew........ i was worried you were gonna shun me for doggin them hahahaha - inst it sooo true - could have built a BETTER system CHEAPER. I cry sometimes too when i think about it late at night lol hahahaha lmfao

I built my units for the same price as they were off the shelf, but i've got soooo many better additions. More aeration, better drippers, better water pups/air pumps, and each unit has it's own thermometer built in.

I'd never buy off the shelf, most of these grow shops are just thieves.

update time: this is only 6 days of growth!!

Wow, the Hindu Skunk is really taking off. Did not expect this much growth in one week.

Gsc is on week one of good growth after one week transplant stress. I am hoping to see better growth this week.

The new Berry Bomb I put in just for fun is still in the end of the first week transplant stress. well see if she catches up to be worth anything.

Room temp: 73
Res temp: 73
Humidty: 45%

GSC looking much better this week - small deficiencies but multiple strains is always hard.

Getting big dude! That hindu skunk grows so fast! I wanna find a clone or 2 of that strain. It's one I haven't tried before.

Thanks Sphnx they are doing incredibly well. I can't belive it lol. Happy so far.

I tried to shut my AC off today to sake some energy. 113 degrees in 30 mins. Looks like it's staying on. Ac brought it back to 78 in 8 mins

Looking good, I agree unless you don't have the ability to screw a nut on a bolt, building your own is so much more satisfying. Even realizing that you need to fix or adjust something is more of a learning experience than a irritation, where as if you buy something that is supposedly turn key and have to make adjustments it just tends to piss one off. Plus I feel that it makes you more in sync with your grow and it's environment to make it yourself.

Haha I know how ya feel.. We ended up opening the windows to the house and the temp at max are 91 with the lights on and thats in the desert.. alot lower when there off during the peek of the day.. going on 3 weeks of no a/c or we would never be able to afford it lol

Water change tonight - flushed with florakleen for 4 hours and then add 7 gallons to the nute res

Lucas formula based on 5 gallons.
10 ml of rapidroot start
50 ml of aquashield

PPM : 759
PH : 6.0

I actually pulled the berry bomb and added it over to the right cabinet. I now only have the two Hindu Kush in this closet. They are literally growing half inch to an inch a day at the moment and they will run the two other clones over. Luckily my right cabinet is a few weeks behind.

Looking lush Roberts, You better flip the Hindu Kush soon or your gonna have to much plant for your closet. Looks really healthy though.

I just got all my OG trimmed and curing in CVaults, 102g's, not a record breaking harvest but the buds look very nice,

I usually flip the lights when the screen is about 2/3's full.
As the plant stretches in the first 2 weeks I continue to weave the stretching plant through the squares in the screen to fill it completely.

On a side note, I took a little taste of the OG, it definitely needs a couple of weeks to cure, but its potent smoke.
It has a woody/sweet flavor, and smokes well, but still could use a cure to smooth it out, and make it real top shelf smoke.

its just a rinse to clear out any built up deposits and what not. nothing very special. You can use it as a flush too at the end of hearvest but i like to run it to keep the system clean as i have spray heads spraying the roots. Dont want any clogging.
