Looking good brother. Nice and fat. Can’t wait to see her dry

And then there was Jenny. The stickiest yet. And the heaviest.

Thanks @Grand Daddy Black and yes it is. I was surprised how much I got off Betty. The buds coming off Abby and Jenny blew us away. Large, dense and sticky
:yummy:

Sweeeeeeet.. good luck on the cure and dry...they look great budman
Thanks @HappyHazmat88 I'm watching the drying closet like a hawk. I'm shooting for 60f/60%, right now at 56f/62%. It's kind of like a game, crack the door to the closet when the humidity rises and inch it shut as the humidity approaches 60. The cure will be all up to my Grove bags, they did great last time.

Harvest day went very well. All three plants were chopped, trimmed, washed, and hung to dry. Shout out to my wife and son for their help on harvest day. Yesterday was a fun day with lots of finger hash :) By myself, I understand why people would hate trim jail. I was stiff enough last night after 8-9 hours of harvest, I'm glad I don't have to do multiple days of that.

Each plant was chopped at the base, hung upside down, dissected bud by bud and laid out on the table. Then we went through and got rid of all of the dead/yellow leaves. We also tried to get rid of some of the vegative matter smooshed between the buds. I wanted to make sure I was getting airflow, especially for some of the really fat buds. It was closer to a wet trim as there were not many decent fan leaves left after the drought. We left a few little fans and many of the sugar leaves attached. All of the trim went into baggies for hash/butter later.

Then I weighed the 'wet' buds to give me an approximation of the finished weight. The first calculation is just estimating 25%. The second I stole from @Emliya: Dry Weight = Wet Weight - (10% weight for stems) / 4. We'll see how close that comes when everything is dried.
** NOTE: Initial weights are in grams, estimated weights are in ounces. OZ & g reversed on totals. **

After weighing each bud was washed in baking soda/lemon juice and rinsed twice. I really liked the addition of the air stones in the wash buckets for agitation, although it really made the lemon/soda mixture foamy. The buckets got much dirtier than I expected. I even had to change the water in the second bucket once because it was getting so dirty.

Finally, after everything had a few hours to drip dry, all of the hangers were carried upstairs to the 'drying closet'. This is a closet in my daughter's old bedroom. I had the 2x4 tent in the same room last harvest but that tent is being used now. So we cleaned out the closet. It's working really well right now but it'll be a challenge to keep it cool as the weather outside warms up this week. Luckily there's an A/C vent in that closet but that will dry it out as it cools. I may have to put a humidifier in there as well. With that much bud drying in that closet, I'm going to do anything needed to keep it 60/60 for the next 7-10 days.

So, sometime during this grow I must have had a pollen sac or two. We found several seeds, mostly on Abby. One whole lower branch was entirely seeded. However, it doesn't seem like most of the flower is seeded. I 'popped' several calyxes that looked like seeds and there was nothing inside. Based on what we found, I'm guessing that is was Abby that threw the pollen. I wonder if it was the power outage for four days where they went several nights by flashlight? Who knows. We'll see how much seed it has after it has dried. Either way I am very happy with the harvest. A few seeds don't bother me at all. In fact it gives me something to 'play' with. I may plant some of them randomly around the lake ;)

Here are pictures of some of the nicer hangers. Have a great week everyone!

Keeping the drying closet at 60f/60% is like a game. How do I keep a closet 60f when it's 80f outside? If I turn the A/C on it cools down but also reduces the humidity. Right now I'm keeping it fairly close by:
- Turning the upstairs A/C on when the closet gets too warm
- I closed all of the upstairs A/C vents except for the drying closet, so it really gets blasted.
- I have a humidifier in the drying closet set to 60%.

So, when the closet gets too warm I turn the A/C on. The A/C cools down the closet but also dries it out. Then the humidifier kicks in to keep the humidity up. When the A/C turns off so does the humidifier. So far it's working pretty good. Can I keep this up for another 7-10 days? I'm sure going to try.

BTW, I am so lucky my wife likes the smell, because the entire house REEKS of weed:ganjamon:

Well so much for the cooler weather. It was high 80s yesterday and will be 80s again today before it cools down to the 50s tonight. After that it gets cooler outside through the weekend.

I can't believe I've been able to keep this closet around 60f with the A/C. If I can get through today the rest should be easy. I went in and checked them today and they're still feeling nice and spongy. I'm hoping to draw this out at least 7 and hopefully more like 10 days. If it goes the whole 10 days it should be finished drying on 4/20 :ganjamon:

Oh, I checked my supply of Grove bags and I think I have enough. I'll need to move some of my first grow into smaller bags to free up the big bags. :yummy:

Those are most likely fem. That’s where my chocolope and WW came from. From previous harvest plants and the chocolope doesn’t have 1 seed and neither does the WW so far
I think they have to be fem since I haven't had a male plant. I do question whether they'll be more prone to herm. I'll hold onto the seeds and give them a go at some point and then we'll see.

They won’t because they’re not herm seeds especially if that’s all you found. I found 50 or so out of a 12oz chocolope plant and that’s what I grew this round with. Found a seed in my WW auto and that’s where my WW came from. I would have chopped them down at anytime if they gave me any concern but they didn’t. They grew like bought seeds
