MrBubbles Perpetual Grow

Woke up this morning and checked the tent out in its new home. Temp was 100!!! The ducting came off my inline fan in the middle of the night. I believe I've got the temps under control again. I turned my light back down to 400watts and moved my intake duct to try and get cooler air. It was down to 85 when I left this morning.

Also, the room itself was feeling quite a bit warmer. It's a standard size bedroom with central AC. I was hoping I wouldn't need to build a stealth exhaust box to go over my window but I may be forced to. Ill know for sure when I stop home for lunch.

you should pick up some aluminum foil tape and tape every connection.

https://www.google.com search aluminum foil tape

Oh trust me I already have every connection HVAC taped. I've gone through tons if it already re-doing my ventilation so far lol. The problem is my connections don't fit perfectly. For example my 6-4 reducer is a little too big for my 6in cool tube and my 6-4 reducer is also a little too big for my 6in fan.

I taped it really good on lunch so it shouldn't be an issue anymore. Thanks for pointing that out tho!

Stopped at home during lunch. Damn duct came off my fan again. I've really got it taped on their good now so shouldn't be a problem anymore. Now my temps were at 82-85.

The only problem now is the room is getting too hot. I've cracked a window and ran my 4in intake by the window with a fan blowing air into. Our weather has been really cool lately so hoping ill be ok like this until harvest. Otherwise ill be building a stealth window box to exhaust directly out of the window. I should be getting my carbon filter this friday. Ill post a full update tomorrow.

i use 1/8" neoprene weather sealing around some of my reducers to fill the gap, this gives a tight connection. i have seen some people use small self tapping screws and secure the reducers the fans.

Great idea! Never thought about using the weather stripping

Update Day 41:

They were looking a little droopy earlier today, however, they did perk up quite a bit after these pics.

The furthest along is my Berry Ryder 3. The largest is my Berry Ryder 2. It was originally the runt and I accidentally broke the main stalk yet it's my largest plant now lol. My favorite is the blue cheese. It has tons of tops and they are really bright green.

I did water/feed them yesterday. I have each plant 4 cups including:

1tblspn Molasses
1tsp Epsom salt
1tblspn Big Bloom
1tblspn Grow Big
1tblspn Tiger bloom

I've also changed my light cycle to 20/4 mainly for scheduling purposes. My temps are fluctuating quite a bit. It's maxing out at 86 and minimum is 62. I'm actually excited about the low temp cuz this might help me get some purple in my Berry Ryders. It keeps spiking up and down because the room is in the basement and the AC usually turns on/off from the upstairs temps.

What I'm thinking of doing is either setting up a window box to exhaust outside or I may also run the duct to a separate room and just use it to heat my basement.

I apologize for the crappy pics. I was in a rush. Ill update again next week with better pics.

Seedlings Day 10:

Finally got my carbon filter! :D No more smell at all. I realize ideally it would be inside my tent but its too big to fit inside plus based in my research I've found that you can use it either way.

A few updates. I added some additional soil on top of each plant. I did this for two reasons. First to give the plants more stability. Second, my first soil mix had waaay to much perlite in it so whenever I watered I had a lot of runoff. Also, I made a mistake initially and failed to water my soil before I planted so it shrank down quite a bit.
Now there's only about an inch gap from the top. I also used my new ProMix soil. When I watered and fed them today there was much less runoff.

I have recently noticed some nutrient deficiencies. I decided to check my ph and it was extremely low. I forgot that the Tiger Bloom can really lower your ph. I had to add a ton of ph up to get it back in the green.

My feed today included:

1tblspn Big Bloom
1tblspn Grow Big
1tblspn Tiger Bloom
1tblspn Molasses
1-1/2tsp Epsom Salts

I gave each plant between 4-6 cups depending on runoff. All measurements were per gallon and now I'm up to making 2 gallons per feed every 3 days.

No real update on my Ultrasour and Blue OG. They're doing really well under the fluorescents vs the HPS. Think it was too hot for them in the tent too cuz it can still get up to 86.

I did decide to plant 2 more photo seeds today. I planted 1 Blue Thai and 1 Dinachem. I planted both seeds into pre watered contained with ProMix potting soil.

That's all for now. Ill post another photo update in a few days.

86 degrees Fahrenheit is still alright for temperature.

I know but it's not optimal either. Ideally I'd be 80 with lights on and 65 off. I'm getting close to this number as the climate gets cooler here. Right now I'm ranging between 66 and 86 running my light at 450.

Same deal over here bubbles, ac gets turned on every day at around 11-12 to keep the tent hovering around 83~ @ 75%. Personally I am still seeing pretty dang good results. As are you! Girls are looking killer, are you going to be running the two dinefems in this journal or start a second string? :thumb: +reps
:peace: CA

I agree the light I'm using is overkill really lol. 450watts is plenty for a 2x4 tent. I just got it because it was the same price and I planned on expanding anyways.

Thanks for the compliments and the reps! Now it's just the waiting game. Not sure how ill document the photos. I'm actually up to 4 seedlings now. The blue og and Ultrasour are almost 2 weeks old. I just recently planted a blue Thai and Dinachem. I may just keep this as a running journal for my grows or I might make a new journal once I get my new tent in a month or so. Hoping to run the 4 photos in a 4x4 and hopefully get at least 2 good clones off of each for my 2x4. Then I can run a perpetual adding new strands into the mix periodically. It seems like a good plan in my head but I also thought a 600watt tent under the stairs was a good idea and we saw how well that worked out lmao

Update Day 46:

All the girls are doing great. Really starting to fatten up now and smelling good! Just fed/watered them again today. I'm feeding them about 4 cups each every 3 days now. Some of the larger plants are now getting up to 6 cups every 3 days. My feed today included:

1tblspn Molasses
1tsp Epsom Salt
2tsp Grow Big
2tsp Tiger Bloom
1tblspn Big Bloom
