Mother of Berries, M.O.B. Maine Strain

Week 6, Day 1 OG Kush. Plant rotated. Average Temp 73 (currently, working on the temp issue you mentioned) Watered yesterday afternoon.

The breeder alleges 56 days of flowering time. I look forward to seeing the final results. I always get the urge to chop early but I know I miss out on a lot if/when I do. Still gets job done but no couch lock. I’m trying to think of what else I can do to make the most of my flowering experience, any ideas?
Nice how long does the breeder say this should flower for? It looks like you have some awesome buds started that should really fill in and swell over the next few weeks.

The OG is definitely not done. Shortening of flower time isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I can accept Sativa properties and even yield. Provided I’m not losing out on Potency. Any additional insight on this would be appreciated. I’ll of course look across the forum and perform additional research.

Oh I know it is not done and did not think you thought it was I was just saying that when you get closer those are things to keep in mind. i have never run anything but 12/12 for flower but I see a lot of people on the forum that do and claim that they shave a week or two off of their flowering times. I have also seen people start to slowly change their lights on period throughout flower to emulate the time changes seen during fall when plants ripen outside. I know some that will go down to 10/14 and have heard of others going even lower but I have not seen it. The thing to keep in mind is that you want to take the light away from the end of the lights on period. So you want to keep your lights coming on at the same time throughout flower. If not you can cause photoperiod stress.

(Week 5, Day 4) Temp 70* I will check it out for sure! I'm trying to gain as much knowledge as I can. I made a few slight adjustments to the tent. Beyond moving the plant to another corner. I put 2 LEDs above it and the gooseneck to help cover plant and reflect off walls. I also have cool air incoming instead of exhausting hot air.

I’ll check that out ASAP and see what I can find. Also, posting some new pics today. Friday is last day of week 5. Starting to see a few orange hairs here and there.

I'm looking for some input. I'll be adding more than what I'm showing and understand that in no way is it necessarily a significant contribution, however, I'm trying to cram in as much light as I can however little. My thought is to continue using the gooseneck in addition to whatever I hang above, having said that. I'm considering changing the existing store brand 100W equivelant bulbs to something depicted bulbs (not necessarily one in the photos). They are reported as being safe in a traditional light socket. I've read no review suggesting otherwise. This will be for the next Skunk grow. I should add they range from 12W to 100W. Some by Chinese manufacturers and others are made domestically. None are terribly expensive. The better ones have to be bought 1 at a time. I understand my entire scenario is going to have to change and evolve but I intend to work on a 12 week veg (training where necessary) and looking to add and upgrade all of my light firepower.

I think I may possibly go with a 1000W HPS. I said previously I didn’t want to use them but with goals, temp and light needs. This seems to be the only way to go. Any insight would be super appreciated. It really is the only thing that checks all the boxes from what I’ve read and seen.

I have never used 1000 watt HPS, just 600 watters. You do want your temps up now but unless you grow outside in the summer you will fight high temps inside during that period. I used 600s and they threw off plenty of heat. One covered a 4x4 area pretty well. I threw a Mars 300 in the middle of two of them in my 4x8. I went to 315 watt CMHs and got similar results as I did from the 600s while spending less on electric.

I’ll utilize an AC this summer to combat high temps. I’ll have to figure out my exact plan. I have heard some things in various threads about mixing HPS and LED as the most optimum way to go.
