Mother of Berries, M.O.B. Maine Strain

I have only ever had a couple of males in my garden so far and they have all grown really well. I usually see it stated that males are overly vigorous. It could just be strain related and the only way I ever know is by seeing either pistils or balls.

Then I shall it wait for its balls to drop (if any should). I may be bold and Veg them for a while as I have about 15 ft of grow space vertically speaking. Will make efficient space width wise by pruning plants as I did with MOB.

Yes I feel it is always best policy to wait for naughty bits to show before you make a choice. Unless a plant is sickly and will just cause you issues otherwise. 15 ft of vertical space? that is awesome!

15ft from top to bottom. Will take shelves out if need be and probably will.

That is great most people have 7 to 8 feet to work with. I see people that want 12 to 15 foot ceilings just so they can grow monster sativas. I would not mind having 12 foot ceilings so I could run better lights and be able to better cool my area.

Could always get creative. If you have a ceiling with panels, remove the panels. You can always train your plants and bend them just enough to grow at an angle, could use a trellis so as to utilize the height you seek in a more sophisticated way and get the plant to follow it. Another abstract thought would be to use one of those tomato bags and let your weed plants grow "upside down" (see below).

I grow in tents with 7 foot ceilings, I use Do Bud's Hi Brix kit and it is recommended you run at least 5 gallon pots with 7 gallon plus pots being preferred. I run up to 8 in my 4x8 so it gets tight at times. I should train better but for the most part I do ok. I need to start investing in better lighting than what I use at the moment but most if not all my spare money has gone to seeds lately. I need to rein in my seed purchases but there are so many strains I still want to get :laughtwo:

Have you thought about stabilizing clones and then selling them? That would reign in the money you need almost assuredly or you could set one aside apply c-silver and sell seeds. You have money growing on trees, make your money work harder so you don't have to :)

I do not have the room at the moment to do any breeding. I could reverse some and get fem seeds but as for any real breeding I feel like I would just be putting out whatever I could get and would be guilty of being a pollen chucker. Selling clones would be decent given the right market. I see a lot of people just selling clones of whatever fem beans they can get from over seas and I feel like that is taking short cuts. If you are going to seriously market and sell clones you should either run multiple fem seeds of the strains you like and choose the best of what you can get or do the same with regular beans. I try not to have too many plants on hand is another thing and finding a market without putting myself out there with some form of advertising seems difficult. This is a decent idea though. I had a fantastic Huckleberry Kush male that I wish I could have kept around. There are a few things I would have loved to have hit with some pollen from him.

I really want either a perfect sun cob light or a light that Shiggity Flip is making. He is making DIY LED's using samsung boards that will cover a 4x4 area and can be run 12 inches from the canopy. He said it cost him like $900 to make though :thedoubletake: That is a bit more than I have to work with for lighting. I have a mars Hydro 300 that is decent but is by no means what I am trying to get to eventually.

Better lights is always a plus but I will respectfully raise that if you are having difficulty compiling money for lights. Won't electric bill make electric bill difficult? I've heard this as "growing yourself out of house and home". I'd respectfully recommend another 300W LED to double power or use that money to get a solar panel system going and expand from there. Most hardware stores sell them for less then $200 and expand your lights with solar or maybe invest in greater efficiency? Im not in anyway sending negativity I'm simply concerned about my fellow grower.

I appreciate the concern. It is really just coming up with the $900 all at once without spending all my spare money on other things. i would love to have solar panels. That is something I have to look into. I had been running 3 600 watt HPS lights along with a 4 bulb 4 ft t5 and my Mars 300. I got rid of two of the 600s and switched to 315 CMHs in their place. The lights Shiggs makes consume something like 650 watts each. I could cover my 4x8 with two of them and get rid of the mars and I would be using about what I was for electricity when I had the 2 600's in there. So I know I could cover my electric still then. I would also have a more efficient light system than I do now that would require less cooling and would produce more/better produce than what I am getting now so it would be a win all around.

PayPal has an awesome finance option.

I don't know if this is overstepping but have you considered seeking a loan or credit card and then paying a small amount monthly for your new lights? Amazon now has a store card like fingerhut and other places like that to buy store products. I'm thinking this might be a way to go because you can get stronger, more efficient lights improving your yield and basically continuing credit improvement while your plants grow, it's a win/win. Of course, at end of day it's up to you. Your smart and on top of things, you'll make the right call

It's not a win for everyone. Maybe to someone with no credit problems but a lot of people do. So it's an option but please don't think we're saying it's the only option.

One other option if credit doesn't work. Sell stuff you don't use online/ at pawn shops, etc. this can also help you raise some money too.

If I was in dire need I would consider this. My lights work and I am happy that I decided to switch to the CMH's. They are giving me similar results as my 600's while using almost half the power. The LED's are more of a want than a need. I could buy another CMH set up for about 300 and have 3 of them in my 4x8 and still use less power than I did with the 600's and I really may do that but I need to justify it to myself. My posts may seem like I am hurting for money but that is not really the case. I am just cheap and do not like to spend money I do not need to :laughtwo: My reason seed addiction though has me spending money I normally wouldn't. I am trying to find the best strains I can and that is where my attention/money/efforts have been focused of late.

If your looking for best seeds. Checkout the strain we talked about sometime ago. Currently the worlds strongest plant currently at over 40% THC
