Morglie's Perpetual: New Space & New Strains

Some seeds just have a very tough shell and it takes an effort. In my experience if nothing else works you just drop them in soil and wait... sometimes weeks.

The eagle has landed. I posted pics in my thread :)

Hey Morglie, I know @Chris Scorpio grew a bunch of those a while back and really struggled with germination and getting them to crack. I think there was something up with a batch of them or something. He might be able to let you know if anything was ever found out.
Are you talking about some beans I've made? I'm pretty sure he got some of my Zamedelica and Panama crosses from Sue and I will back.

That's what I normally do, but I've only given them about a week or two before I have up on them. Lately, I've taken to letting them soak longer if they don't want to crack.

No, he got them from Seedsman. Talking about the Kilimanjaro strain and germination issues. He struggled a lot trying to get those seeds to germinate. 3 out of 20 or so was all he could get to crack. I believe he had better success after scarifying the seeds a bit.

Scuffing will work for about 50% of them usually.

Thanks. Will scuffing it a bit with sand paper do the trick?

Yeah it will.

Yeah it will.
Thanks. I'll try that when I get home today. It sounds like a nice landrace. Pure sativa, good yield, fast flowering, small, and potent. Kinda makes me wonder if it's a true landrace or polluted with Dutch genetics. It's supposed to be from around the mountain, so maybe it's a highland sativa.

I believe thats what he ended up doing to get some to germinate. I know he basically dropped the strain due to the seed cracking issues.

OK Dude I think this early pheno of the PD is a weird sort of smoke. It gives me the heebee jeebies.... you know? Like all day I have been doing stuff...cleaning the grow room... and I did the dishes,,, cleaned the back yard a bit so my dog has somewhere to shit..... all day I was like a zombie... just walking around without a care in the world. I like it, but it is a bit overwhelming in a way... but at the same time I don't care.

hahaha

It's potent stuff. Sativa leaning, but like a hammer over the head. The purple pheno is more energizing and motivating.

I can't wait for that purple one. It has me drooling for sure. She might have a week. The other is still mostly white hairs.... so may be 2 weeks on her.... 11 and 12 week girls...

Cheers,
They should be developing a sweet berry scent to them, which is what the mother smells like.

I cut my latest one yesterday. I was planning on cutting it this coming weekend but as I was moving it to the front of the room to keep a better eye on it, I discovered that the Borg was setting up camp in it, so down she came. That berry smell was wafting up in my face the whole time I was cutting and washing her. The buzz is actually not too far off from the mother either, just ramped up a notch or two.

I had a space heater in that corner of the room and it just made it way too nice for them. I put it on the timers so that it shuts off at night. I'll gave to see how cold it gets overnight. Probably not too bad. I might even get some better color on some of my plants.

So I put through an order with Ace. Zamal Bliss, Mauritius x Ethiopian, Orient Express x Nepjam (hoping for the rare Vietnam Black pheno), freebies Oldtimers Haze & Nepjam. I also got some of @tropics Purple Satellite and Pineapple Banana bud. Lots of sativa goodness on the way.

Hello Morglie!
Thank you for the notation, if you have any cultural questions on my material I would be very pleased to give it my best. Sooo looking forward to your progress. Please note Purple Satellite is mainly outdoor grow that needs a longer hour initiation at start of flower around 14.5 hours starting around end of July outdoors up north.
CHEERS!

Thanks. That's one of the reasons I picked it up. I'm going to try and run 1 or 2 outdoors next year. It looks like I can finish it here. I'm going to try my hand at one inside as well beforehand. Hopefully it doesn't get too far out of hand. I've got some wild ones coming.

Hey there!
Satellite will definitely finish great in northern US and well into Canada, Indoors under A 12/12 light switch she will probably develop male flowers on bud tips because of the stress of short hours. Below is Satellite grown outdoors in tropics at 11.5 hours of light and almost every plant got some male flowers on tips of some buds. Though easy to pick off, not desireable, Though the smoke was quite nice. In Norhern grows where she is adapted I have never seen a herm out of hundreds of plants.
