That Zam is absolutely beautiful bro!! Those should be some interesting crosses you eneded up with. I sure hope that seed pops for you I would like to see what it becomes!!

Thanks. I'm not sure how viable any of the Kerala crosses should be as she hermied on me, but there could be some cool stuff. Extreme tropical sativa crossed with something tamer.

Give me a minute to adjust my brain cells... sounds complicated;;;;;

Cheers,
There'll be a lot of the purple mother in the cross, (PM x Apollo 13) x ((PM x UD) x PM)

I feel like I'm doing algebra.

Edit: to add in brackets I forgot.

Some pictures of the flower girls. The Tangie caught my eye and got my camera out.

That's all.

I tried a tester of the PM x Apollo 13 4.1 tonight. 37 days just like the Purple Dawg BX I tested yesterday. Fast onset of buzz and it's a nice clean high. The taste is meat and mushroom on inhale, then a strong cedar flavor floods the mouth and nose on exhale. Very nice flavor, but it's not what I was thinking it would be. I'm looking for the grape fuel flavor I found in the first one, which I failed to get a clone of.

I think I'm going to ditch the F2 plan and look for more candidates. I want to use the sour fruit one to cross with my Purple Dawg BX.

Btw, Ace just listed a bunch of their new R&D crosses on their site. Very detailed descriptions for all of them. I'm thinking I may have to drop some money on a few more of their strains.

Well there goes all my cash. Red Sapphire, Panama x Honduras, Panama x Tikal and for sure some more A5. I see the Zam x Ethiopian didn't make it out of the R&D section which is surprising. I'm really loving that strain too. It isn't off the drying rack yet but I've been cutting samples and that shit....whoa what a rush that gives. It a very trippy type of high, I don't mean I see things but there is a very pronounced shift in reality. I got lost watching Breaking Bad (never seen it until now), I swear I could feel their emotions, I was completely engrossed.

Very cool. I'm thinking they have it listed. Ah, it's Malawi not Zamedelica. The Zamal Bliss is one I've been eyeing in their R&D section. Have you seen anyone growing that one? Purple Zamal x purple nepjam. The red Sapphire really has me interested as well.

Sounds like an interesting smoke! I need a good trippy one. The African Meltdown does that to me to a little degree regarding the pronounced shift in reality. I am looking for a little more of that.

I tested out another pheno of the Purple Malawi x Apollo 13. Plant 2 is the grape/chem pheno I was looking for, but with a menthol hit in the nose on exhale. Very nice smoke and it's got a nice sativa leaning buzz.

This is the one I'm planning on pollinating with the male Purple Dawg BX. I flirted briefly with the idea of pollinating it with both the BX and the PM x Apollo 13, but I'm wanting to be certain of the genetics I'm working with and I'm afraid I wouldn't be precise enough. And it seems this is a common pheno, so I can make F2s later.

I found a seed in the tester I cut. There are several more on the plant. They are from the Kerala. I'm going to freeze this one first, but it's getting soaked shortly. This and the Zamedelica are the two plants I'm thinking have the most potential from the Kerala pollination. Who knows though. I'll probably run all of them at some point.

I've been enjoying my Zam x Pan, but I've been dropping a string of sativa seeds hoping to find something more reality shifting. Kerala and Purple Malawi x Zam/Pan are both above ground with Kilimanjaro and Tangie x Kerala soaking. Next up after that will be the grape/fuel/menthol pheno of Purple Malawi x Apollo 13 pollinated by Kerala. From what I sampled of the Kerala I had to cut early, there's a lot of promise in that strain.

@neikodog do you know which pheno of the A5 you have by the descriptions on their site? The buzz description sounds pretty intense.
6 days and not a wiggle from the WTxL... I hope I the seeds were mature enough to sprout....
They look mature to me. Have you frozen them yet? Experiencing a winter freeze seems to help some of them pop. I'll be popping some as soon as I get that last Kerala planted. Hopefully they germinate ok.

Hi Morglie! Merry festive season to you and yours :)

Great ride I’ve had catching up here. It’s like a tour through Willy wonkas!
:bravo: So many lovely crosses and beautiful plants and pictures. A real treat :D
Thanks :Namaste:
Thank you Amy! Its a lot of work at times, but it's a lot of fun at the same time. My gardening time is my Zen time after work each day. It helps me center myself and relax.

I hope so, too. They dried on the shelf for 3-4 weeks and they went into the fridge.
They might just take a while. I had 2 volunteers in my garden a while back that I was certain were Purple Dawgs because of traits from the mother. Now that I've got the cross with the Apollo 13 going, I can see the one was that cross, and I'm pretty certain the other one was Carnival x Purple Dawg. Both of those I had ruled out at the time because it would have put them at 3-4 weeks from when I had soaked and planted them. My Kilimanjaro has been soaking for about a week now and there's no signs of cracking yet. The Tangie x Kerala leap frogged it and it's in soil now. It had a tail this morning. Some seeds just need the right conditions.

Hey Morglie, I know @Chris Scorpio grew a bunch of those a while back and really struggled with germination and getting them to crack. I think there was something up with a batch of them or something. He might be able to let you know if anything was ever found out.
