Morglie's Perpetual: New Space & New Strains

Good Morning Morglie! Black Dog is way different that UD. DB Does have some chem and OG genetics but....

This is the UD I was talking about. I see lots of leaves on my girls that look like that bit of leaf curl there. Everything seems normal though...

Ultra Dawg 3 has been in flower since last weekend. I think it's an OG pheno. I've smelled some lemon on her. She's getting close to throwing pistols.

Nice job on this cross, Morglie. It would be no-brainer for me too :thumb:

Good good it looks like this strain should be pushed in one particular direction with further inbreeding.

Thanks. With the F2s I'm trying to reinforce the bush structure and the smell/flavor. Now that I've been sampling all three, they all have excellent flavors. They all show some purple, but the darker purple should be reinforced as well.

Do you think I should select and make F3s?

Yeah as soon as you find the best expression possibly with good flowering time to quality high ratio :)

Very nice work, Morglie! :welldone:

That Purple Dog looks awesome! Along with making F3's, I'd look at back-crossing. The F3's tend to have a wide variation and can show traits that don't exist in the parents. The back-cross should have something like a 50% chance of locking in the trait you're looking for.

Got ya. That's going to take a while growing them out. They'll be a group of them coming up after I harvest the F2s.

I backcrossed a male F1 to the mother and am already growing a group out. I'm not very happy with the vigor. 2 of the 5 I planted died as seedlings. The other ones are doing ok, but not looking all that great. I think it killed off the vigor. I'll have to try again with an F2.

The kerala is a looker for sure, should produce some massive donkey dick colas by the end of it I reckon :thumb:

I just got my order from RSC, Lebanese and Parvati (again as a freebie) :thumb:
Sweet! That Parvati looks nice.

Yea, I'm seeing them start to develope into actual buds instead of wisps of pistols, and they should turn into spears if I can keep it happy.

Jeez its like being in a cave with Mendels' map and you have to explore the genetic cave to see if there is gold at the end. If one tunnel is a bust you have you hike your ass for months down through the caverns where there might be bats (and fertilizer) and hope in the damp cold you spot a gem.... Good thing I brought something to smoke...

:passitleft:

Yeah the Parvati should be good :)

I think you'll be able to, this isn't your first rodeo + you've grown a few sativas. I know this plant is always teaching us and keeping us humble but I'd love to see the Kerala finish up, as you said it's not just a bunch of pistols anymore, starting to swell and stack :thumb: Very nice to see :)

That's a very appropriate analogy. Its not a hobby for the impatient. Just growing has taught me patience as I'm looking a month or two out at all times, making sure my rotation in flower stays consistent. This is adding another layer to things.

I've grown quite a few, but this is my first wild one. This will be the first that will go past 12 weeks. I always struggle towards the end keeping them healthy and this one's got a long road to get there.

You will probably have to do another recharge but use 3rd run amendment.

I've been adding a second recharge a month after the first on my long flowering strains for a while now, thanks to seeing you utilize it. Thanks for the reminder on using the amendment instead. I had forgot that Doc suggested using that the 2nd time around.

Those crispy edges are still there btw. The Roots! I added didn't seem to help. Have you found anything else that might improve them?

Well, the roots! Powder has worked for me but yes I have another product I've used 8n the past. It's called Eden, it is in the kit in small amounts. Curso turned me 9n to it. You have to order it from the lab. When I 1st had the issue Curso recommended I top dress with roots powder and eden. That fixed it but since then I've quit adding the eden and just top dress with roots. I use about 2 tbsp. on a 10 gallon pot.

I'll have to take a look online and see if I can find that. I'd been feeding on the heavy side, and I've cut it in half thinking I was over feeding them. I'm still seeing issues though. It seems to be predominately in the sativa strains. The indicas seem to fare much better.
